JENNIE
I was so focused on my work that I've lost track of time. I forgot to check my phone, and as expected, I received a lot of messages and missed calls from my wife. I called Lisa right away and informed her that I would be working overtime today. I still have files of paper work in my office that I haven't finished since coming back here. Lisa informed me that she would be working overtime as well, but when I was finished, I should call her right away so she could pick me up.
After a couple of hours of work, most of my employees, including my hardworking assistant, have gone home. I decided to call it a day as well. I already called Lisa, and she's on her way to pick me up. Then I gathered my belongings to wait for her outside.
I was walking towards the elevator when I felt something strange. It's as if someone is staring at me. I slowly turn around to look behind me, but no one is there. I continue walking, and it appears that someone is now following me. I'm getting scared and rush inside the elevator, pressing the ground floor. The elevator door is about to close when suddenly a hand pushes it open.
"HELP!" I screamed from the top of my lungs, then closing my eyes. Is this the end of me? Is the psycho guy going to abduct me now? Lisa, please save me.
"What happened, Miss Ruby Jane? Are you okay?" A familiar male voice asked. I take a slow look at the person and I felt relieved when I saw a surprised Hanbin in front of me.
"N-nothing. I-I'm just surprised. I thought someone was going to abduct me?" I stuttered to him.
"Abduct you? In your own building?" He asked bewildered. I pressed the button again, causing the elevator to descend to the ground floor.
"Forget about it. Maybe I'm just imagining things. By the way, what are you doing here at this hour?" I asked.
"I forgot my phone in the studio and took it back, then I decided to go to Miss Jisoo's office to ask her something, but when I got there, no one was in her office. Maybe they had already left." He explained, scratching his head.
"Unnie didn't come to work today. She wasn't feeling well. What are you going to ask her?" I wondered.
"N-not so important, Miss Ruby Jane." He said shyly, turning away from me. Maybe he'll ask Unnie to go out. Sorry pretty boy, but my cousin is already taken.
We'd made it to the ground floor. I wave him goodbye, but Hanbin suddenly appears beside me again. I come to a stop and stare at him with interest.
"What exactly are you doing?" I asked.
"I'm walking you to your car, Miss Ruby Jane. For your safety." Hanbin said seriously to me.
"Thank you for your concern, Hanbin, but you don't have to. My security is all over here. No one can harm me." I explained to him.
"But, Miss, we don't know what might happen. I just want to see you safely get inside your car." He said as I resumed my walk. How am I supposed to explain that I didn't bring my own car because Lisa is going to pick me up. If he sees us, he might think something. I was about to stop him from walking beside me when Lisa suddenly approached us.
"Hey." Lisa said and smiled at me.
"Oh, Miss Manoban! I'm glad to see you again." Hanbin said with a smile. Lisa looks at him, perplexed, as if she had forgotten about him.
"Lisa, this is Hanbin. You met him a few days ago. He is one of our new models." I explained, and she nodded.
"We have to go now, Hanbin. Lisa and I have plans for tonight." I told him.
"I had no idea you two were so close, Miss Ruby Jane." He said, surprised.
"Of course she's my best friend." I said, but when I look at my wife, Lisa's face is now expressionless. Damn, I messed it up again.
"You have big time friends, Miss Ruby Jane." He chuckled. "Enjoy the night, girls." Hanbin said as he walked away from us. Lisa and I walk towards her car, and she isn't talking to me even when we get there, so I hold her hand and force her to look at me. I surprised her by pecking her on the lips.
"What's that for?" Lisa asked with her brow furrowed.
"You're mad again." I said, but she only opened the passenger seat door to let me in.
"I'm not mad, just get inside, let's have dinner, and get home." She said, her face is still lacking of emotions. I pouted at her and climbed into the car.
"Are you jealous?" I asked her as she was driving the car. She stops and stares at me intently. Damn, when she looks at me with those intimidating eyes, I don't know if it scares me or turns me on.
"Me. Jealous. Do I look like the type of person who gets jealous easily, Miss Kim?" She asked.
"Yah! So I'm Miss Kim now, Lalisa!" I exclaimed.
"So I'm the best friend again, Jennie." Lisa said, looking at me with pain in her eyes. I'm really screwed up.
"I-i'm so sorry, Honey. I don't know how to introduce you because we aren't publicly announcing our marriage, and I know you still want to keep it private." I explained.
"But you brag to Suzy the other day that I'm your wife." She says as she starts driving her car.
"So you're mad at me. You're mad because I told Suzy that you're my wife. Why? Because you don't want her to know. Why Lisa?! Because you want to be with her!" I exclaimed angrily.
"Why is the table suddenly turned? Why are Suzy and I getting involved now here? I didn't say I wanted to be with her!" She anxiously said.
"Damn! Lisa, stop the car! I said STOP!" I yelled. She came to a complete stop, and I was about to exit the vehicle when she began ranting on me.
"YES, I'M MAD! I'M FUCKING ANXIOUS, JENNIE! I THOUGHT YOU'D TELL THAT GUY THAT I'M YOUR WIFE, BUT YOU SUDDENLY SAID THAT I'M YOUR BEST FRIEND, WHO WOULDN'T BE OFFENDED ON THAT? THAT'S WHAT I'M FEELING EVERY TIME WE GO OUT WITH MINO BEFORE. I KNOW WE'RE STILL KEEPING OUR MARRIAGE PRIVATE, BUT I HOPE YOU DIDN'T TELL IT THAT WAY. MAYBE YOU'LL JUST CHANGE THE SUBJECT OR JUST FUCK!" She slammed the steering wheel angrily. If I could just go back in time, I would tell Hanbin that she is my wife instead, so I wouldn't hurt her like this. I tried to calm her down by holding her shoulder, but she flinched. After a few seconds, she appears calmer. I tried again to hold her.
"I'm sorry, honey." I apologized to her. I hold her arm and I'm glad she didn't push me away. She suddenly holds my hand and kiss it.
"I'm sorry as well, let's forget about it. I promise you that when everything is fine. I'll scream to the whole world that you're mine, Jennie." She said, kissing my hand once more. "And I'm yours." She stated solemnly.
"I'm only yours Lisa, I love you so much." I say as I cup her cheeks. "And remember, you're mine, only MINE."
"Only yours." She said and smile at me. "Let's not fight again, Love and please don't bring Suzy's name up again." She said.
"But you're the first-" I'm about to say something when she stops me with a kiss. Damn you Manoban.
"No more fighting." She said, winking at me. "By the way, why are you with that new suitor of yours?" She asked.
"Lisa!" I yelled, glaring at her.
"Fine, fine. So, why are you with your new model at this hour?" She asked and smiled sarcastically at me.
Lisa said she didn't want us to fight anymore, but she's still getting on my nerves. She's hot when she's mad, but making her jealous is a big NO. I know now.
I told her about how I felt paranoid a while ago when I thought someone was following me and how I ran into Hanbin. She stares at me blankly for a few seconds before picking up her phone and dialing our security number. She asked them to double-check the entire area.
"Perhaps you'll need security on your floor building from now on, for assurance." She suggested. I'm about to protest when she shook her head at me, and all I can do is sigh deeply as she resumes driving the car.
"Change of topic, honey. How's Rosie?" I asked, and her expression suddenly changes from happy to sad.
"She's still not responding to my messages and calls. How about you? Have you tried calling her?"
"Same, no response." I sadly said.
"That hard-headed Chipmunk. Don't worry, Love, I already have a plan." She said.
"What plan?" I asked, intrigued to her statement.
"Do you have anything important planned for the weekend?" She asked.
"Nothing." I said.
"Good." She said, smirking at me.
"Don't say you're going to-"
"Shhhh, it's a surprise, just wait for it." She said. "I hope it works."
"All right, I'm looking forward to it."
"But first, look forward to what I'm going to do to you tonight, Love. You made me mad in my car, so we need to get even. I'll make you mad as well, but in your room. I'll make you scream later." She said, smirking.
"Yah, pervert!" I exclaimed.
"But you love this pervert." Lisa chuckled. How can she be so daring now, but she's right, I'm madly in love with her.
3ʳᵈ POV
It's almost the weekend, and Rosé is still sulking in her room. Her parents are unaware that she is not going outside or working. They're on vacation somewhere in Korea, and Rosé couldn't care less. She is still self-pitying because of what happened to her and Jisoo. She knows it's her fault and that she shouldn't have blurted everything to her girlfriend. Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie have been contacting her in the last few days, but she has been unable to respond due to her embarrassment over what she did. But today she has not received any messages or phone calls from them. She double-checked her phone and still received nothing from them.
"Perhaps they're sick of me already." Rosé thought to herself. Even though it was the middle of the day, she decided to go back to sleep, but then someone barged into her room.
"LISA! What are you doing here?" She was taken aback when her best friend unexpectedly entered her room, but the latter ignored her.
"Alice unnie, where is her closet?" Lisa suddenly asked Rosé's older sister. Her sister went inside and told Lisa where Rosé's belongings were. "Thank you, unnie." Lisa said, smiling to the older Park. Alice left the two of them, leaving Rosé perplexed as to what was going on.
"Lalisa, what are you doing to my room and to my things?!" Rosé shouted to her best friend. Lisa has taken her luggage and is now putting her clothes to it.
"Obviously, I'm packing Chipmunk and you-" Lisa said, looking at the blonde with furrowed brows. "You need to take a bath and fix yourself before we leave."
"Leave? Where the hell are we going Lalisa? I'm not leaving." Rosé stated sternly to her friend.
"You'll come with me whether you like it or not, Chipmunk, or else I'll tell Jisoo unnie who your first kiss was." Lisa said, smirking.
"Yah Lalisa! I'm going to set you on fire. Fine! Okay, I'm just going to take a bath." She was about to enter the bathroom when Lisa suddenly asked her.
"Where is your passport?"
"PASSPORT?! Are we leaving the country?!" Rosé anxiously shouted.
"Are we?" Lisa asked, chuckling.
