Laiyas pov
"Come on Laiya I promise you will do amazing" Ruby whispered to me as we were trying to find our cab at the Sydney airport
"I just can't believe we are actually at the finals!" I squealed jumping up and down with her
"I know in your home town" Katie said putting her arm around me
Us three were in one cab whilst the others were in the other, we are making our way to the hotel. which is near the opera house where we would be performing in two days time.
Once we made it to the hotel we dropped our bags of in our rooms, they were very luxurious and had a massive balcony overlooking the water. I was sharing a room with Katie whilst the others were in the rooms next door.
"Do you want to go to Manly?" Katie asked looking over at me
"Sure what he probably won't be there right?" I chuckled
"He wont but you need to stop worrying your gonna have to talk to him one day" she spoke softly sitting down next to me
"I know I'm just worried what if he has moved on" I said
"He loves you but lets stop moping and go to the beach!" she yelled texting the group chat
Nearly everyone wanted to sleep so It was just Katie, Lily, Tilly and me going, we took the ferry and a cab until we finally arrived at the famous Manly beach.
"So here we are" I said gesturing my hands to the water Lily jumped up and down
"OH MY GOD LAIYA YOU ARE SO LUCKY YOU LIVE HERE" She screamed running down the stairs
We all jogged after her down to the waters edge before laying out our towels, surprisingly the beach wasn't that busy there was only a group of kids our age a couple meters down from us.
"Lay lets take photos" Katie squealed
"Righteo" I chuckled grabbing my phone
We all took photos together for a couple minutes and I decided to post one

We all talked and went into the water for 15 minutes until we decided to get out to mess around and tan.
"Oh god look hot Sydney boys!" Lily said a little too loudly
My heart immediately dropped though I tried to reassure myself that it wouldn't be him
I looked over to the group of kids my mouth gaping open, there was a very lanky boy standing there
"Oh shit.." I whispered making eye contact with said boy
"Is that?" Katie said moving over to me
Ruels pov
Sunday, Bodhi, Samson, Bella and I decided to go to manly today to try and get my mind of things. I knew that on Tuesday I would be going to watch Laiyas dance performance I mean everyone was going my whole family and hers and also the group, it was now late Sunday.
"Oh look Ruel there are some hot girls" Samson joked looking over at the group of four girls floating in the water
"That kinda looks like Laiya" Sunday said pointing to one of the girls
"Probably someone who just looks like her" I said grabbing my phone and scrolling through instagram... Laiya had posted
"Nope that is her" I said showing my phone to the group which had her instagram photo taken in the same place we were in
"Oh well lets just chill and see if they notice us" Bodhi suggests
"Yea" Bella agrees
We were all sitting in a circle laughing and joking though I occasionally would glance over to look at her she was laughing with her friends looking extremely happy, god I miss her smile.
"Lay!" One of her friends screamed making a few people from my group turn around to look at her
"Yea?" She replied, the beach was pretty quiet so it wasn't to hard to hear their conversations
"Do a backflip!" The brown haired girl laughed
"Ahh havent done one in a while but I can try" Laiya replied moving backwards to have some space
"3..2..1" Another girl said causing Laiya to do a perfect backflip
"Wow she is really good" Samson whispered
"Mmm" I said turning my focus back to the group
We talked for a little bit longer until we heard a another girl say something
"Oh god look hot Sydney boys!" The same brown haired girl said a little too loudly making us chuckle, we looked their way my eyes immediately making contact with hers
She whispered something under her breath whilst her friend told her something which she replied to
"OH MY GOD LAIYA" Sunday and Bella screamed running up to her tackling her onto the floor
"Hi guys!" Laiya said hugging the boys
She looked up at me and smiled
"Hi lay" I said looking down at her
"Hi Ruel" she spoke, I opened my arms asking for a hug which she gladly accepted
The feeling of her body on mine made my heart flutter, I missed this. I missed her. She pulled away blushing and looking at her group of Friends
"Oh yea guys this is Tilly, Lily and Katie and this is Samson, Sunday, Bella, Bodhi and Ruel" She spoke pointing at everyone
The group spoke with one another whilst Laiya and I stood awkwardly.
"Hey Laiya want to go for a walk?" I asked looking over at her
"Oh umm yea sure" She said looking over at me
We walked off down the beach in silence until we got to the rocks where we use to sit at and eat ice cream when we were dating
"Do you remember this?" I asked sitting down breaking the silence
"Yea I do" she replied sitting down next to me
"I'm sorry" I said looking over at her
"Umm it's ok"
"No it wasn't, it is my biggest regret ever laying a hand on her and I promise that I have no feelings for her and didn't have any on that night either" I said trying not to cry
"Thank you it just hurt" she replied eyes tearing up the more she spoke
"I know I can't believe I did that"
"It's ok it is my fault as well" She replied
"No it isn't your fault Laiya none of it was your fault and if it makes you feel better I have cut her out of my life something I should have done a while ago"
"You didn't have to"
"But I did Laiya because I love you and I need you and anything I can do to regain your trust I will do without hesitation" I said a tear dripping down my cheek
"I love you too" She spoke her cheeks tinted red from tears
"Please forgive me" I asked
"I forgive you Ruel"
We looked into each others eyes slowly moving closer, I wanted to kiss her so badly. I missed the feeling of her lips on mine the feeling of her waist when my hands gently rested on it. Our faces got closer and closer until Laiyas phone started ringing, she quickly pulled away and picked up the call.
"Sorry Ruel I have to go we have a team dinner" She said standing up
"Yea it's alright" I said following behind her again in silence
We made our way back to the group and said our goodbyes before we all went our separate ways.
