Coming out of his reverie ......
Ranvijay saw her lying lifeless on the floor and blood was oozing out of every corner of her body..... he got scared and shook her but to not avail..... he immediately pull her bridal style and head towards the wash room ..... getting rid of all her clothes he clear all her wounds first with water and than carries her back in the room .... placing her on the bed he cleared all her wounds with antiseptic before applying ointment on them and than he covered her with duvet before calling the doctor and than exit the room....
AFTER TWO DAYS..
Rashi was lying on the bed .... she tries to open her eyes but it seems like there is a lot of weight of her eyelids.... she again try to open them and thus time she got successful and slowly she open them.... as soon as her eyes opened .... they meet with the darkness in the room... she tries to adjust her eyes to be able to see through darkness and when she was able to she finds her throat feel dry.... slowly she tries to move her hand towards the sidewalk to get the water but it was very painful for her to move even a single muscle of her body so leave about hands..... slowly bearing the pain she lift it up to reach the glass but as her fingers tries yo grab the glass it falls down from the table with the thud and shatters into number of pieces....
Listening the noise Ranvijay enters the room ...... seeing him she started trembling with fear and tries to move backward on the bed....(keyword.... tries) but immense pain in her body didn't allow her to take even a single step.....
RV: So..... finally.... queen bee wakes up....
RASHI: (trembling......) N......n...no.... please no....
RV: (taking predatory steps towards her) what no dear wifey???
Rashi just stare towards his face and without her notice tears started leaking from her eyes...... she sees him as he makes himself comfortable on the bed beside her and tries to move little away from him when he gripping her hand pulls her towards him and pointed towards the broken pieces of glass.....
RV: Whats that for??
RASHI: (shaking.... with great difficulty due to dry throat).. I.... I... wa.... wat....
RV: (loudly) speak clearly.....
RASHI: wa.... water... I need water....
RV: (looks seriously into her eyes as if trying to read her.... than he moves towards the water bottle ... picking it up and forwarding towards her...) take this..
RASHI: (with trembling hands takes the bottle from him and gulped down all the water in a single go before passing the bottle again to him) Th... thank you....
Ranvijay takes the bottle from her hand and keeps it back in the table and than again moves his eyes on her face who immediately moves her gaze downwards towards her fidgeting fingers lying on her lap....
RV: ( breaking the awkward silence)... so can we continue our earlier conversation now or you want me to bring the real Ratika to answer my questions??
RASHI: (fear was clearly visible in her eyes... she folds her hands before him)... please no.... no ... please dont do anything to her..... she is already very fragile... she won't be able to bear this.... she will die.... please don't do anything.... please..... I will do anything you say.... I will be slave till my breathe..... I will bear all the beating... all the torture..... but please spare her..... please..... ( and due to weakness she feel her head moving and soon her eyes rolled backward and she again lost her consciousness.....)
Ranvijay saw her loosing consciousness and catches her before she falls of the bed and lays her properly on the bed before covering her again with the duvet and exits the room....
After 2 hours
Rashi again wakes up and tries to sit but flinched due to pain..... suddenly she felt a hand on her back and moves her gaze to be stick on him...... helping her to sit properly he continues......
RV: (placing the tray of sandwich and a glass of juice before her).... finish this and have your medicine before we continue our talk....
RASHI: (silently takes the tray and nibbles the sandwich slowly ..... she ate half sandwich with few sips of juice.... placing the tray back ....) Thank you...( following his gaze on tray)..... I cannot eat more...
RV: (nodded and pass on the medicines to her with a glass if water)... have them....
Rashi gulped them and place the empty glass on back on tray..... Ranvijay picks up the plate and silently kept it on the side table before sitting behind her again on the bed....
RV: now.... tell me everything.... and remember I hate lie..... so think properly before you say anything..... I don't think you will able to face another punishment .....
RASHI: (fear evident in her eyes).... My name is Rashi Agarwal or you can say Rashi Bansal.... I am an adopted daughter of Sanjay papa and Rati mom....
RV: (shocked....) What adopted ???? But I never heard about any adopted daughter of Mr Agarwal....
RASHI: Yes.... it is because they never made it public ..... I usually stayed in hostel or abroad throughout my life so only close family friends only know about me ....
Flashback
18 years back...
RASHI: I was 5 years old.... I can never forget that most painful day of my life..... it was my mom birthday.... my both parents were doctors.... after their working hours we decided to ho for movie after dinner..... we were heading for the theater when received a call ..... my mom was called immediately back to the hospital due to some emergency..... postponing out program we headed back ..... we were on the way to hospital suddenly a fast moving car collided with our car from the side .... as an impact of collision our car drifted towards the side of the road and collided directly with the tree.....
My head collided with the back of the front seat and I lost my consciousness.... later on when I opened my eyes .... I was in the hospital and there I got the news of the death of my parents...... I also got yo know that before my father died on the spot of the accident only but my mother was brought to the hospital alived with me.... but she lost the battle after two days .... and before she died she passed on my custody to one of her friend .... that is Rati mom.....
Rati mom was my mom's colleague..... she suffered the miscarriage few days ago only.... it was their first child.... so when she came to knew about my parents condition.... she decided to adopt me so that my parents greedy relatives may not destroy me for the property and money I inherited from them.....
I lived with them till the age of 10 than I was moved to hostel and since than I was living low profile till the age of 21 .... so that my extended relatives may not be able to mingle with my affairs and after that I took over the property and money left by my parents and dance than I was living in my paternal home.....
Flashback over
RV: (confusingly...) than what are you doing here with the name of Ratika
RASHI: Ratika is like a younger sister to me..... she is just 18 .... she is a heart patient and so very prone to illness....
But still we were really very happy in our small world. But than everything changed the moment Sanjay papa passed away..... his advocate told us that his last wish was that his ashes were to be submerged with river Ganga in India on the same place where his father was rest for eternity.....
It was rhe first time we came to know about his family..... he never used to talk about his family back in India ..... so we were shocked to learn about such a big and prestigious family background of us..... though mom was aware of his family but she too never said anything to us not even to Ratika..... so when mom informed his brother about his demise ...... he suggested Ratika to come to India for final rites.....
As Ratika is very week by heart and also we never knew about them and they straight away refused to let my mother enter to their house so we were very confused as to what to do??? We cannot let her come alone here.... so at last it was decided that I will come yo India and meet the family as Ratika as they have never seen any of us ..... and after completing the rites I will go back and than we will never contact any of them in future.... so I came here and rest you know.....
RV: why your parents never mentioned about his family to you??
RASHI:That we don't know...... mom only once said that they did something because of which my father abhors them all..... he never tried to contact any of them or replied to any of their calls once he came back from India after his broken marriage....
RV: (clenching his teeth)... broken marriage??
RASHI: I don't know anything more.... mom refused to share anything more with us....
RV: (with anger in his eyes....) so why you never told me about you when I did all that to you??
RASHI: because... if I would have told my reality.... you might leave me but than you would have again go after Ratika and how can I let that happen .....
RV:so you think you can save her from me.....
RASHI: (jumping to the floor and immediately grab his legs).... please.... please dont do anything to her..... she will die.... please let her live..... I dont know what my family had done to you.... but here I am present before you..... please direct your anger on me..... punish me..... hit me..... rape me..... kill me ..... do what ever you want to do but please spare that little girl please ..... I beg you for her life ...... please I am ready yo take all ......
RV: (staring at her face continously with so many emotions in his eyes ...... he wants to consol her..... he feels bad for her..... but the power of his anger ..... his revenge overtakes every other emotion ..... he clutched her hairs in a tight grip and make her stand....) oh.... so you are ready to take everything I offer ..... just to save that wreck...... okk so let's do it your way..... (pulling her which makes her fall on his chest.... he grazes his lips down to her earlobes.....) strip..... remove each and every fiber from your body ....... you should be as the day you were born .....
RASHI: (terrifyingly) nnnnn.....no please dont do that again ..... please....
RV: (tsk.... tsk...) why what happened..... you just told me that you will do anything I say..... you wanted me to punish you .... hit you and even rape you..... so I am just following your words ..... so what is the problem now....
RASHI: (looking into his eyes and crying) please .....
RV: (slaps her hard which makes her fall on the floor).... please.... yes please..... please..... (shouting like a madman) my mother also pleaded before them..... she also said please.... she also folded her hands before them seeking mercy..... but ..... no ..... she never got that...... she was always humiliated...... she got beaten..... she ..... no ..... you are not different..... when she never received any mercy so how could you expect the mercy ..... no .... no mercy..... you must face everything that was faced by her..... yes.... you must..... i will ensure that you will pay...... you all will pay for her miseries ...... i won't leave you...... you played me...... I wont leave anyone of you..... you all will pay..... yes you all will pay....( he was blabbering like a psychic....Rashi was just looking at him dumbfounded....)
Coming out of his reverie he took predatory steps towards her ...... she moves back ..... he grabs her elbow and make her stand.....
RV: not only you but your entire family will pay for each and every tear we shed...... and I will ensure that....
Saying this he pushed her once again and without giving any glance towards her he exited the room and bolt it from outside.....
Again..... done with one more...
I know I am little late this time but please bare me .....
