The next day!
It was 6 o'clock in the Uchiha house hold, Fugaku and Mikoto sat in the living room while Sasuke was up in his room with a very high fever. Fugaku was getting more annoyed as the minutes passed by that Itachi didn't showed up but he looked up as he heard the door opening from the front entrance " I can't believe we're late " was what Fugaku and Mikoto heard and could tell it was their son Itachi " it's not my fault " could also be heard but it sounded like a whiny voice coming from the hallway. Once Itachi and Deidara made it in the living room and once Fugaku saw Deidara was impress with the way Deidara dressed in a white button up, with light gray pants with a brown belt that matched his brown shoes and a nice sliver watch on his right wrist and his hair was put in a mess man bun but his small bump was more noticeable ( Picture down below )
Itachi came after Deidara dressed in mid wash blue jeans with a white t-shirt and a blue jacket and to finish it off, Itachi wore brown boots and his hair was put in a ponytail with his bangs to each side
Deidara and Itachi both bow at Fugaku and Mikoto " sorry we're late " said Itachi making Fugaku rise an eyebrow " and why were you late " asked Fugaku " ay well " started Deidara but everyone stop when they heard a noise by the staircase, Itachi and Deidara looked back while Fugaku and Mikoto titled their head just slightly to look but everyone eyes widen when they saw Sasuke sitting on the floor as he lend against the wall as his face was pinkish red and before Fugaku and Mikoto could react, Deidara ran towards Sasuke
Deidara kneel in front of Sasuke " are you alright " questioned Deidara as place his hand on Sasuke forehead " you're burning up " said Deidara before he turned towards Itachi " Tachi, help me get him to the couch " said Deidara making Itachi nod before he picked up his baby brother (bridal style) " big brother " mumbled Sasuke as he place his head against Itachi's chest. Itachi laid Sasuke on the couch then he moved out of the way so Deidara could check up on him " Tachi could you bring me my bag " asked Deidara " of course " said Itachi as he left back to the entrance " how long as he been sick " questioned Deidara as he turned towards Fugaku and Mikoto " he got caught in the rain yesterday and came home wet " explained Mikoto as he Deidara looked at Sasuke and notice some wheezing but the some noticeable was that Sasuke was covered in sweat
Itachi ran back with Deidara's bag which made Fugaku curious which led to asking questions that he didn't ask, Fugaku eye what Deidara took out of his bag and his eyes widen when light blue surgical scrubs that was neatly folded on top of the coffee table. Deidara keep looking inside his bag until he pulled out his stethoscope but he looked up when he heard Sasuke coughing a lot " it hurts " said Sasuke as he groan while he placed his hand on his chest while he sat up " what's hurting you Sasuke " asked Deidara " my chest " said Sasuke " does it hurt when you cough " questioned Deidara making Sasuke nod while Deidara took the end of the stethoscope and place it on Sasuke's chest " i need you to inhale then exhale " said Deidara and Sasuke did as he was told. Deidara finished checking Sasuke's chest, he became concerned about Sasuke left lung. Deidara took the end of the stethoscope and placed it on Sasuke's wrist while he looked at his watch " what are you doing " questioned Fugaku but he task when Deidara shh him
Deidara turned towards Itachi who was waiting to hear the news " Tachi get me a bowl of lukewarm water and a bowl of cold water with some towels " said Deidara making Itachi nod before he left running towards the kitchen " Mrs. Uchiha, please get me a clean shirt " said Deidara as he turned towards Mikoto who looked surprised for some reason " of course honey " said Mikoto before she left running upstairs, Deidara turned towards his bag and took out a his books and note book " Mr. Uchiha does Sasuke have any allergies to medication " asked Deidara as he took his note book and a pen " No he doesn't " said Fugaku making Deidara nod as he wrote in his note book " No allergies to medication, slightly case of pneumonia on the left lung, low heart rate due to dehydration " wrote Deidara before he took out his Digital Thermometer " Sasuke open your mouth for me " said Deidara as he took the thermometer and placed it under Sasuke's tongue " close you mouth " continued Deidara and Sasuke doing as he was told, after a few minutes Deidara heard some beeping coming the thermometer so he asked Sasuke to open his mouth
Deidara saw the thermometer then he mentally curse " high fever " thought Deidara before he wrote it down on his note book and he saw Itachi and Mikoto coming back with what he requested. Itachi placed the lukewarm water on top of the table with the towels " thank you " said Deidara before he took one of the towels and placed it inside the bowel allowing the towel to be soaked before he moved in front of Sasuke and taking off his damp shirt that was cover in sweat " here " said Deidara as he passed the shirt to Itachi who notice the weight on it, Deidara began to wipe off the sweat from Sasuke body as everyone just stood around
Once Deidara place the clean shirt on Sasuke and then he laid him down with a cold wet damp towel on Sasuke's forehead, he turned toward his book and began to write down a few things " Ms. Uchiha as Sasuke eaten or drank anything since he been sick " asked Deidara " now that you mention it, no he hasn't " said Mikoto " has he taken any medication yesterday " asked Deidara making Mikoto sweat-drop " well Sasuke doesn't really like taking medication " said Mikoto as she looked away when she saw that Deidara stop writing in order to looked up at her " really " questioned Deidara as he sigh before he reached for his prescription pad " Tachi can you run down to the pharmacy and grab the medication that I'm gonna call in " said Deidara as he wrote down on his prescription pad " how many items " asked Itachi " well it's gonna be quite a few things " said Deidara as he looked up and smile at Itachi who returned the smile with a smirk " no medicine " said Sasuke as he sat back up making the damp towel fall on his lap " well too bad " said Deidara as he poke Sasuke on his forehead but it made him whine as Itachi chuckled a little and Deidara just smile.
Sasuke felt his body trembling " i don't feel so good " said Sasuke as he held onto his stomach before Deidara got a chance to ask what was wrong, Sasuke lend forward then he threw up on Deidara. Everyone eyes widen expect for Deidara who starting patting Sasuke on the back " let it all out " said Deidara as Itachi covered his nose from the smell as like Fugaku and Mikoto. Once Deidara was done cleaning the vomit from the floor and his clothes, he handed the pieces of paper to Itachi who took it then left before he pharmacy closes. Deidara grabbed his phone while Fugaku and Mikoto sat down on the love seat " hello " said Deidara as he place his phone on his ear with the support of his shoulder while he wrote down somethings " Deidara Uzumaki, ID Number 498620. I'm doing a home visit for a patient of mine, Sasuke Uchiha. I'm calling in for some medication that Itachi Uchiha would picking up " continued Deidara before he list all of the medication then he paid for them which didn't agree with Fugaku
Deidara laid Sasuke back down then he place a new wet cloth on his forehead " Ms. Uchiha can i use your bathroom and take a shower " asked Deidara as he smell of vomit was getting to him " of course honey. Itachi room is just upstairs to the left " said Mikoto making Deidara smile brightly at them " thank you " said Deidara as he bow in front of both Mikoto and Fugaku but once he was out of sight, Fugaku turned towards Mikoto " we need to talk " said Fugaku making Mikoto nod " i'll make tea " said Mikoto and they both left to the kitchen while Sasuke stay sleeping on the couch.
Mikoto and Fugaku were sitting in the kitchen table as they sat there in silence " so Itachi and Deidara " said Mikoto making Fugaku ' hn ' " and a baby " continued Mikoto as she looked at Fugaku who looked back at her but he noticed a small smile on her face " you're happy " questioned Fugaku making Mikoto smile from ear to ear " i'm gonna be a grandmather " said Mikoto as she already picture holding her unborn grandchild " that's not the point " mumbled Fugaku as he brought the cup of tea towards his mouth " what was that " threaten Mikoto as she somehow had a wood spoon in her hands " nothing dear " said Fugaku as he sweat-drop but Mikoto just mhmm as her eyes were narrow at Fugaku who just looked away
Deidara finally finished taking a shower and then headed towards the kitchen when he didn't see Mikoto and Fugaka in the living room. Deidara walked in with one of Itachi shirts that was rolled up to his elbow and very low cut shorts that was Itachi old gym shorts which was the only thing that actually fit Deidara but it wasn't visible by the length of the shirt but his legs were well presented and a towel as he dry his semi-long hair. Mikoto and Fugaku looked up and their eyes widen when they saw Deidara dressed like that ( picture down below )
Deidara smile at them " thank you for allowing me to use you're bathroom " said Deidara as he sat down in the chair in front of Fugaku. Both Mikoto and Fugaku eyed Deidara as he cross his legs showing off his slim pale legs " Ms. Uchiha do you have comb " questioned Deidara as he place the towel on the chair next to his " you have such pretty long hair " said Mikoto as she smile while she was enjoying this but she saw the blush on Deidara " thank you " mumbled Deidara as he played with his hair " so cute, i'll bring you the comb " said Mikoto before she ran out of the kitchen, leaving both Deidara and Fugaku in an awkward silence. Fugaku clear his throat before he turned towards Deidara " so Deidara, what is it that you do " asked Fugaku making Deidara eyes sparkle " no one ever asked me that before " said Deidara " why's that " questioned Fugaku as he looked confused " cause they just assumed that i'm a nurse at the hospital " explained Deidara as he scratch the back of his head " but you're not " said Fugaku as he raise one of his eyebrow " no Im not, I'm the lead surgeon " said Deidara making Fugaku eyes widen " but you're so young " mumbled Fugaku making Deidara scratch the back of his head once again.
After a while Itachi came back and was weirded out by the fact that Fugaku was talking to Deidara and laughing " did i miss something " thought Itachi as he place the bags on the table " Tachi, you're back " said Deidara as he smile while Mikoto was braiding Deidara's hair " i'm back " said Itachi as he lifted Deidara's chin then he lend in for a kiss but he felt awkward because his father hated him for being gay and Deidara for being his partner. Itachi glanced at both his parents but was surprised when he didn't see the look of disgust so something must have been up. Deidara smile brightly as Mikoto who smile just as brightly " thank you Mikoto-san " said Deidara " your welcome honey " said Mikoto leaving Itachi in a state of confusion which didn't go unnoticed by Fugaku who just smirk at the look that his son gave
Deidara grabbed the bag and started pulling out all the medicine that he order then he grabbed the black bag that contain a package of vanilla pudding cup and 2 bottle of cold blue gatorade. Everyone watched as Deidara grabbed a small brown bottle with a white cap then he read the bottle before opening it " what's that " questioned Mikoto as she lend forward to take a better took " it's paracetamol " said Deidara as he one pill then he placed it on a paper towel before closing the bottle but he looked around and notice that everyone didn't understand what he say " it's medicine for fever " continued Deidara as he hear ' ohh ' echo around the room which made him chuckle. Fugkau looked confused to why Deidara was crushing the pill under the paper towel " if Sasuke is anything like some certain people * Deidara glance at Itachi who had a spoon full of ice cream that he didn't get to finish * then it's easier for Sasuke to take the medicine if it's in food " explained Deidara making Mitoko nod her head that she understood because she always taken care of her kids when they were sick and it wasn't an easy job
Deidara took one of the pudding cup then removed the lid in order to put the crush pills inside and with the spoon, he mixed the pudding so the power was no longer visible " what's going on " was all that everyone heard making them turned their heads back " Sasuke how are you feeling " asked Deidara as he stood up but he took the bottle of pills and secretly hid them inside the bag before he made his way towards Sasuke " i feel like throwing up but i'm hungry, my head hurts and my body aches " said Sasuke as he complained about everything wrong with him " well i got you some vanilla pudding cup and some gatorade " said Deidara as he saw Sasuke eyes sparkle " i was just about to bring it to you, why don't you have a sit " continued Deidara as he led Sasuke to the chair next to his then he placed the pudding cup in front of Sasuke before he opened the gatorade and then he place the bottle next to the pudding cup " do you think he should be drinking juice right now " asked Fugaku " well gatorade does have electrolytes and what electrolytes does is help restore the lost electrolytes and it helps with dehydration which Sasuke really need right now considering he's really dehydrated " explained Deidara as Sasuke slowly ate his pudding cup while he drank his gatorade but he couldn't help but notice all the bags on the table
Deidara had asked Itachi for a pair of deposable gloves which he was now wearing before he grabbed an IV bag only to be questioned by Mikoto " what's that " questioned Mitoko while Deidara opened a bag that contain a tube then he took an alcohol swab to clean off the ends of the IV bag and one of the end of the tube " this is called an intravenous (IV ) fluid which helps with severe cases of dehydration which is normally used on children but because Sasuke is in the middle of becoming an adult and a child then it's easier for him to get really dehydrated " explained Deidara as he sat down before he grabbed a blue bag with a clear front, inside the bag was a butterfly needle. Sasuke didn't like where this was going " no " was all that Sasuke said before he hugged himself " Sasuke it's either doing this here or me taking you to the hospital. the decision is yours " said Deidara as he raised an eyebrow " no hospital " mumbled Sasuke as he tears filled his eyes " good boy " said Deidara before he gently grabbed Sasuke forearm then he wrapped a blue rubber strap above Sasuke's elbow " what are you doing now " questioned Fugaku as he lend forward just like Mikoto " it's to help the vein become visible " said Deidara as he pat Sasuke's skin " found one " continued Deidara as he took a new alcohol swab then clean around Sasuke's skin before he grabbed the butterfly needle
Sasuke closed his eyes ready for the pain that he didn't notice that Deidara had already stuck him with the needle then he place a big clear circle tape on top of the needle to hold in place. Deidara clean the ends of the IV and the needle with another clean alcohol swab then he connected the IV " hurry up already " said Sasuke as he gripped his pants " Sasuke i'm done already " said Deidara making Sasuke open his eyes, only to have tears roll down his face. Sasuke looked down and then notice that his brother was holding onto the IV but his eyes widen when he saw another needle with liquid " no more needles " said Sasuke as more tears rolled down his face " Sasuke this needle is going into the IV, it would help with your nausea so you're be able to hold down liquid and food " explained Deidara as he did just that, he stuck the IV instead of Sasuke which brough Sasuke some relief. Deidara grabbed a smaller liquid bag and did the same progress as the IV bag " before you ask, this is medicine called Amoxicillin and it's for Sasuke's lung because it seems like he has an infection called Pneumonia which is cause from an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs. But since Sasuke got a cold and he doesn't like taking medicine it will irritate the lungs, creating an environment where it's easier for pneumonia germs to move in and start an infection " explained Deidara leaving everyone in a awkward silence because they didn't really understand what he had say so Deidara took Sasuke up to his room as he carried the IV bag
Itachi sat down where Deidara was sitting as he crossed his legs and arms while he glanced away from his parents. It was a awkward silence until Deidara came back then he started cleaning up and putting everything such as needles and the tub in a red biohazard bags " i'll take this to the hospital and throw away there " said Deidara as he clear off the table of everything but he looked up and saw the time and saw that it was already 11pm" oh it's getting late, let's head home Tachi " said Deidara " I'll go grab your bag " said Itachi as he stood up but he was stopped by Mikoto who grabbed his forearm " why don't you stay the night " said Mikoto making Deidara eyes sparkle " can we really stay " questioned Deidara " of course honey, this is also your house " said Mikoto as she walked towards Deidara then she gave him a side hug " no we can't stay " said Itachi as he didn't like the idea " please Tachi " begged Deidara as he gave Itachi his puppy dog eyes " plus do you really want people to see me dress like this " continued Deidara as he looked down at his clothes but he also saw Itachi looking down " No " growl out Itachi making Deidara smirk and everyone just smiled in victory " goodnight everyone " said Deidara as he grabbed Itachi forearm and led him upstairs. Mikoto smiled at Fugaku who nodded his head in approval
****** The Next Morning******
Deidara woke up to his alarm clock that read 4am, his feet was dangling just above the floor while he rubbed his tired eyes as he scan the floor for his or Itachi shirt considering that he was butt naked but he spotted Itachi t-shirt " where you're going " mumbled Itachi as he wrapped his arms around Deidara waist " work! remember i have that surgery at 6am " said Deidara as he looked down on his right side before he placed his hand on top of Itachi head " keep sleeping, it's still too early for you " said Deidara making Itachi open his eyes " it's alright, let me take you to work " said Itachi as he sat up " and while we're at it " continued Itachi as he lend towards Deidara's ears " we can take a shower together and continue last night activity " whispered Itachi making Deidara blush but he nodded either way. After they're shower, Deidara was in the kitchen making breakfast while Itachi went to lay on the couch with his military uniform on " you're up early " said Fugaku as he walked into the kitchen with an eyebrow raised because he didn't expect to see Deidara up so early in the morning and dress in his light blue surgical scrubs " i have an important surgery at 6am " said Deidara as he looked down at his watch that read 4:30am so he still had time to eat
Fugaku sat down after purring himself a nice cup of coffee " Fugaku-san are you gonna eat " questioned Deidara making Fugaku ' hn ' as Deidara smile because after being with Itachi for so long, he learned the Uchiha ways. Deidara please the food in front of Fugaka who was surprised to see a Japanese home style breakfast
Itachi came in after smelling the food from the living room " good morning mother, father " said Itachi as he did a little bow before he sat down " thank you for the food " said everyone before they started eating, both Fugaku and Mikoto look at Deidara's plate " where's your food honey " asked Mikoto " this is my food Mikoto-san, it's toasted bread with butter and avocado with a little bit of sugar " said Deidara as he took a bit making him mhmm in delight. After everyone eat, Mikoto washed the dishes because Deidara cooked " we're leaving, I changed Sasuke IV bag around 2 so he should be good until the afternoon. I'll come back during my break to removed the IV " said Deidara as he stood next to Itachi who carried his bag over his shoulder " I have a morning meeting so i should be back around 11 " said Itachi " oh i cooked Sasuke some chicken soup with tomatoes so just heat it up when he wakes up. And call me if anything happens " said Deidara as he looked at Itachi as well then they both left.
It was 11 when Itachi arrived home " i'm back " said Itachi as he walked into the living room and saw both his parents sitting while having tea " where's Sasuke " asked Itachi as he looked around and caught a glimpse of the bowl that Deidara left for Sasuke still on the table " he's still sleeping " said Mikoto as she brought her cup towards mouth " you haven't checked on him " questioned Itachi " no " was all that Mikoto said before Itachi ran upstairs. Itachi opened the door to Sasuke's room only to find Sasuke on the floor with blood coming from his mouth " Sasuke " called out Itachi as he made his way towards him " why are you screaming " asked Fugaku as he walked in with Mikoto but both their eyes widen when they saw Itachi holding onto Sasuke
Itachi looked for his phone before dialing Deidara's number " wait! isn't he in surgery right now " questioned Fugaku " i don't care " said Itachi as he waited for the phone to ring
* Location Change * Hospital operating room
Deidara was stood over his patients who's stomach was cut open, as he looked at the screen in front of him on the right hand side " hand me the scalpels " said Deidara to the nurse next to him while he extended his arms towards her. Deidara was about to make an incision until he heard his phone ring " sorry guys " said Deidara as he nurse next to him took the call and up it on speaker while Deidara continued to do the incision " hello " said Deidara " Deidara i'm sorry calling in the middle of your operation but Sasuke is bleeding from his mouth and his anus. he's breathing heavily and sweating a lot " explained Itachi over the phone making Deidara stop " what " yelled Deidara making every nurse flinch " but me on speaker " continued Deidara " Fugaku-san, you told me that Sasuke wasn't allergic to medication " said Deidara " he's not " was all that Fugaku said before he was cut from by Itachi " what! father, he's allergic to antibiotics " yelled Itachi making Deidara eyes widen when he heard that " Tachi bring Sasuke to the hospital, NOW " said Deidara but he yelled on the last part
The Nursed closed his phone " prep room 2 for surgery. Sasuke Uchiha 16 year old male got caught in the 2 days ago. High fever of 104F, slightly case of pneumonia on the left lung and low heart rate due to dehydration and now possible internal bleeding " explained Deidara to the nurse who wrote down everything " when he comes in, do a CT scan on both chest and stomach " continued Deidara before the nurse ran out of the room. Deidara closed his eyes, took a deep breath in before he exhale " let's continued " said Deidara to the rest of the staff making everyone nod
*** Back at the house ***
Itachi and Mikoto was beyond pissed off with Fugaku " i can't believed you told Deidara that Sasuke wasn't allergic to antibiotics " said Itachi as he removed the IV tube but keep the needle in place because he didn't know how to properly removed it without hurting Sasuke. everyone left the house as Itachi carried Sasuke in his arms " please be alright " thought Itachi before Fugaku drove away to the hospital
