why do thoughts like these come out to play at night?
these thoughts sit on my chest, and pin down my limbs to my bed as my demons run their fingers through my hair and leave fingerprint shaped bruises on my hips and tell me that i should be in love with them,
but they took you away from me.
they made me afraid and because of that,
you are gone.
so i will fight to get rid of them.
so that someday, you can tell me all about what kind of day you had.
and instead, you can run your fingers through my hair and ill feel your light breaths on my neck and everything will melt away
