FLASHBACK :
Two years ago.
"Damn Bam! I thought we were going to eat dinner. Why the hell did you bring me into a freaking night club? I didn't sign up for this. I want to get back to the hotel." An irritated Lisa complained to her cousin.
"Relax Pokpak, we're here to unwind. I researched about this place. Most of their clients are celebrities and influential people. I've been looking forward going to this club ever since I found out that we're going on a business trip here in L.A." Bambam explained.
"I don't care who the hell goes to that club. I thought we were only going to eat at a restaurant. Have you forgotten that we have an important meeting tomorrow morning?" Lisa exclaimed, now fuming to her cousin.
"Pokpak, please. Tomorrow night we're leaving. You going back to Korea and me going back to Thailand. This is our last chance to enjoy together the nightlife here in L.A." Bambam pouts to Lisa.
"No, Bam. If you want to go, go on your own!" Lisa said firmly.
"You're unfair. I always saw you partying with your friends in Korea on your social media. You even go to Paris with Jennie just to attend some fashion show even if it's not a Manoban related business thing. I just wanted to experience the nightlife here with you. Why you're so hard on me Pokpak?" Bambam sadly said. Lisa's heart was pierced by her cousin's statement. She is now watching an unhappy Bambam getting his phone from his pocket.
"What are you doing?" Lisa asked.
"I'm calling our driver to get us back to the hotel." Bambam said, but Lisa took the phone from him and put it back to his suit jacket.
"You don't have to. Come on, let's go inside before I change my mind and stop being grumpy." Lisa said, her face expressionless. Bambam's eyes sparkle with joy and he smiles broadly to his cousin.
"This is why you're my favorite cousin." Bambam said, attempting to kiss her on the cheeks, but Lisa pushed his face away from her.
"Say that in front of Minnie, and I'll believe you." She said, crossing her arms over her chest as Bambam grimaced on her. "Five shots and we're going back at the hotel. It's our last meeting here, so we need to be there early tomorrow." She said sternly.
"Yes, lady boss!" Bambam exclaimed, saluting Lisa.
"Crackhead." Lisa says as she walks in front of the nightclub to read the name. "For real, Paradise." She shook her head and followed Bambam inside the nightclub.
Several minutes later.
Lisa's brain starts to be affected by the alcohol. The five shots she promised turned into seven, and she's starting to feel the effects of the liquor in her system. Lisa wanted to go back to the hotel before she became completely drunk, but her cousin was still dancing the night away with a sexy brunette. She wrinkle her nose and sits on the stool, staring at her cousin. She's focused on the two when a lady in a red strapless dress takes the vacant stool beside her.
"Rough night?" The lady asked Lisa, who was completely unaware that the lady was speaking to her. The Thai is thinking about how she's going to kick his cousin's butt when they get back to the hotel. The lady is waiting for a response, but Lisa is still unaware of her presence, so the lady approaches Lisa and whispers into her ear. "Uhm, if looks could kill, the guy would be dead by now." Lisa's taken aback by the lady's move, so she moves away quickly and nearly falls to her chair. The lady laughs. "I'm talking to you, but you're so focused on them." The lady says, smiling. Lisa's mouth is still agape, but she tries to compose herself and sits properly on the stool.
"That's fine." Lisa said, her gaze shifting to the lady's face. She can't deny that the lady is stunning, but still nothing compares to her one true love, Jennie Ruby Jane Kim.
"So, who's the guy? Ex-lover? If looks could kill, they'd be dead by now, and I pity my friend for getting involved with your guy." The lady sighs. 'Cute,' Lisa thought, but it could be the alcohol that's making her think that way.
"No, he's not my ex. He's my cousin." The Thai explains, and the lady's eyes widen.
"But why are you staring at him like that?" The lady asked.
"I want to leave, but I just can't leave him. He's still partying like there's no tomorrow. Damn him." Lisa said as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Perhaps you're bored, which is why you're jealous of his happiness tonight." The lady said with a wink. Lisa blushed, but then tried to return to her expressionless face.
"I'm not jealous of him." Lisa exclaimed.
"You are." The lady said. Lisa is about to protest once more but the lady puts her finger to her lips, cutting her off. "Drink with me instead of staring daggers at your cousin." She offered.
"No, I've had enough for tonight, and I can't be drunk." Lisa explained.
"Don't be a loner, just enjoy the night." The lady said, winking at her again. "Don't worry, it's all on me tonight. I need it as well." She said that made the Thai look at her.
"Why?" Are you having a bad day?" Lisa asked and the lady looks at her with interest. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to intrude on your private life." The Thai apologized. The lady holds her left cheek and smiles at her.
"You're so cute." The lady said happily before becoming serious. "I broke up with my boyfriend today." She told Lisa. "We've been together for a long time, but I can't give him what he wants."
"What do you mean?" Lisa wondered. The lady is taken aback by Lisa's curiosity, but shrugs it off.
"I never let him pop my cherry." The lady said. "What is your favorite liquor?" The lady suddenly asked, but the Thai furrowed her brows.
"I love whiskey." Lisa said before continuing. "What do you mean by 'pop your cherry'?"
"Really, you weren't aware of that?" The lady asked, and Lisa shook her head seriously. "You're so cute. That means I didn't give him my virginity." She said, as Lisa was taken aback. The Thai would like to sink into her chair. Why is she so naive?
"Oh my, I-i'm so sorry." Lisa says, panicking, but the lady holds her hand.
"Hey relax, you did nothing wrong." She gently caresses Lisa's hand before calling the bartender. "Two sazerac shots." She said, and the shots were served by the bartender.
"By the way, my name is Suzy, and yours is?"
"Lisa." The Thai introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you, Lisa." Suzy said, raising her shot glass.
"Nice to meet you, Suzy." Lisa said, raising her shot glass to Suzy's. They drank straight and grimaced afterwards. They both laughed when they saw each other's expressions. They ordered a couple more shots, which has made Lisa tipsy.
"Did you come here with your friends?" Lisa asked, and Suzy nodded.
Bambam and Suzy's friend Nancy the sexy brunette approached them and spoke to them for a few minutes before they excused themselves because they saw a celebrity that they admired and wanted to take a picture with.
"How about you, Lisa? Let's talk about you. Do you have a boyfriend?"
Lisa shook her head that made Suzy furrowed her brows. "Why? You're gorgeous and hot, so why don't you have a boyfriend?"
"I'm not into guys." Lisa said, holding her shot glass. Suzy widens her eyes and moves closer to Lisa.
"So you have a girlfriend?" Suzy asked. Lisa looks at her and continues to shake her head.
"Really?" Suzy exclaimed. Lisa nodded and smirked at her. "But why?" Suzy wondered.
"Let's just say I'm waiting for someone." Lisa explained before summoning the bartender for their drinks. "This time, it's on me." She said, winking at Suzy.
"Is it unrequited love?" Suzy questioned, but Lisa only stared at her. "I guess Nini isn't into Lili." Lisa said out of the blue. The drinks arrived, and they drank them straight.
"So you're Lili, and the one you like is Nini." Suzy said. Lisa nodded and became gloomy.
"Hey, don't be sad." Suzy said as she caressed Lisa's arm.
They're on their fifth glass of Lisa's treat. Lisa is now completely drunk, while Suzy, who is only slightly drunk, moves closer to her and whispers into the Thai ears. "Do you want to know why I can't give that guy my virginity?" Suzy said, tucking a strand of hair behind Lisa's ear. Her face is so close to Lisa's that the other girl can almost feel her breath.
"Why?" Lisa wondered. Suzy moves in closer and her gaze is fixed on her.
"Because I realized I'm not into him. I'm really into girls." She says as she suddenly kisses Lisa on the lips. Lisa is taken aback by what happened and gently pushes Suzy away.
"Kiss me Lili." Suzy said. Lisa's vision is blurred, and she appears to be seeing Jennie right now. When Suzy tried to kiss her again, she didn't hesitate to kiss her back.
"Let's get out of here." Suzy said. Lisa, who believes she is with Jennie, only nodded at her. Suzy helps her in standing up because she is losing her balance. "Let's go to my hotel, it's closer." Suzy said as the two exited the club. As soon as they arrived at Suzy's hotel room. Lisa pressed Suzy against the door and began to kiss her roughly. "So you want our first night to be rough?" Suzy asked, aggressively kissing Lisa back.
The next morning.
Lisa woke up in an unfamiliar room, with a throbbing pain in her head and a stinging pain on her lower part. Her eyes widened when she noticed a naked woman sleeping beside her. When she looked under the duvet, she saw her naked body. 'Damn what I've done.' She grumbled to herself. She clasps her temples and begins to recall everything. She recalls the girl's name and her stories from the previous night. She gets out of bed quietly.
'F*ck, we had sex, I'm doomed!' She smacked her head without making a sound. She found her clothes and took her phone in her pocket. She noticed a lot of missed calls and messages from Bambam and her assistant. She looks at the time and realizes it's less than an hour until the meeting begins. She quickly wore her clothes and exited the room quietly because Suzy was still sleeping peacefully. She made the decision to return to her hotel and call Suzy after the meeting.
The meeting takes longer than expected and concludes that afternoon. She checks her phone for the lady's phone number, but she didn't get it from her last night. She smacked her forehead once more for failing to leave a note for that lady. She can't even find her on social media because she only knows her as Suzy.
Lisa wished she could return to Suzy's hotel, but she couldn't because she would miss her flight back to Korea. She exhaled deeply before entering the plane and just uttered the name. "Suzy."
