The quiet surface of a lake is disturbed when a young boy does a cannon ball into the water. Ben resurfaces and mimics the sound of a roaring crowd.
Ben: "The crowd loves him!"
Gwen, who is standing at the end of a dock, look on at Ben antics.
Gwen: "Hey dweeb, do you think it's a good idea to be swimming at night?"
Ben: "Come on, jump in!"
Gwen: "Please. There is nothing that can get me in that disgusting water."
Y/n then walks up next to Gwen wearing his swimming trunks. Gwen blushes seeing her boyfriend shirtless.
Y/n: "Come on Gwen, it'll be fun."
Y/n gives Gwen a warm smile before jumping into the lake. Gwen weighs the pros and cons of swimming in the lake.
Gwen: 'Cons; Ben, grossness, and who knows what else. Pros; my shirtless and wet boyfriend...'
Gwen quickly runs back to the Rustbucket and returns a moment later with her bathing suit.
Ben: "I guess you're not such a dweeb after all."
Gwen is still hesitant to get in the water though. Y/n swims to the end of the dock and looks up at Gwen.
Y/n: "Come on, Gwen. Jump into my arms I wont let anything happen to you."
Gwen sits at the end of the dock and slips down into the water, into Y/n's arms. The two are holding each other close in a loving embrace... until it's broken by Ben splashing the both of them. While Ben is laughing at the two, they look at each other with evil grins. They then retaliate by slashing Ben, which soon becomes a slash fight between the three children. However, their fun is cut short when an enormous creature raises from the lake.
Gwen: "Swim for it!"
They race for the shore. When they reach dry land the three look back at the lake to see the creature gone. As if it was never there. Gwen is hugging Y/n out of pure fear.
-The next morning-
The kids and Max are walking along a boardwalk, all the while the kids are trying to convince Max of what they saw.
Gwen: "Its true Grandpa! We really saw it!"
Ben: "It was enormous!"
Y/n: "It almost ate us!"
Max: "I'm sure all you three saw was just a large fish. Now, come on we've got a boat to catch."
Ben, Gwen, and Y/n sulk in defeat. When they reach the boat, Gwen sees a bucket of worms and gags.
Gwen: "What's with all the slimies?"
Max: "Bait."
Gwen: "Well, I think I'll stay here Thank you very much."
Y/n: "Yeah me too. I'll stay here with Gwen."
Gwen smiles and grabs Y/n's hand. The two start to walk away when Max comments.
Max: "Okay, but you two dont know what you're missin."
Gwen: "I'm okay with that, after all I have everything I need right here."
Gwen then gives Y/n kiss on the cheek, causing him to blush. All the while Ben gags at them. Gwen and Y/n leave as Ben and Max get on the boat and leave.
Gwen and Y/n spend the day along the boardwalk sight seeing and enjoying each others company, with Gwen giving her boyfriend the occasional kiss when he doesn't expect it. However, Y/n keeps taking glances at the lake. Gwen notices and knows why.
Gwen: "Come on Y/n, we're safe here. Nothings going to happen."
Gwen tries to reassure him.
Y/n: "I know it's just... you cant be too careful. And I'm not about to let that thing take you from me."
Gwen smiles at Y/n and gives him a warm hug, he returns the hug and as they pull away Y/n surprises Gwen with a kiss this time.
Y/n: "Bet you weren't expecting that huh?"
Gwen: *small laugh* "Okay, you got me that time."
The two love birds decide to sit at the end of one of the docks enjoying the sun and peace of each other. Their moment of peace is shattered when the creature, known as the Krakken, emerges from the water and smashes the dock sending Gwen and Y/n into the water. Gwen and Y/n resurface.
Gwen: "Babe! Do something!"
Y/n: "On it! *activates his Ultimatrix* Let's rip and tear!"
Ripjaws: "Time to show that thing a real monster!"
Y/n swims forward to grab Gwen, but she is whisked away by XLR8. Y/n sees the Krakken chasing a boat that has FOF on the side, Y/n jumps out of the water and latches onto the Krakken with his claws. The Krakken roars in pain and shakes its head violently, throwing Y/n onto the boat that was being chased. XLR8 speeds onto the boat next to Y/n.
XLR8: "Ripjaws, where'd it go!"
Suddenly, the Krakken resurfaces on the other side of the boat and tries to take a large crate but XLR8 prevents it by ramming his feet into its lower jaw. But, one of the Krakken's tentacles comes out of the water and takes the crate anyway.
XLR8 and Ripjaws leave the boat and regroup with Max and Gwen. That night Ben argues with everyone that they should stay and fight the Krakken but everyone else is against the idea.
Gwen: "Let it go Ben."
Y/n: "Yeah, I'm not about to risk Gwen's safety over a giant eel in the lake."
Max: "Face it Ben, this is gonna have to be the one that got away."
An old boatman suddenly appears at their camp mumbling to himself.
Shaw: "Lowdown, no good fish kissers."
Y/n leans into Gwen's ear.
Y/n: "Who's this guy?"
Gwen shrugs.
Ben: "Captain Shaw, what is it?"
Shaw: "The nerve of those enviro punks. They shut down the entire lake. Nobody tells me where to sail. And nobody's gonna keep me away from reeling in the catch of the century. Nobody."
Shaw storms off, presumably to his boat.
Y/n: "You've been hanging around that nutjob?"
Ben glares at Y/n.
Ben: "He's not a nutjob!"
Ben storms past Y/n and Gwen into the Rustbucket.
Gwen: "Sure seemed like it to me."
Y/n nods in agreement.
After everyone had changed into their pajamas and were getting ready for bed, Y/n looks up to see Gwen banging on the bathroom door yelling at Ben.
Gwen: "Come on Ben! What'd you do, fall in?"
Max walks in front of Gwen and opens the door to find the bathroom empty.
Y/n: "He didnt."
Gwen: "He did."
Max handed Gwen a pair of binoculars from the cabinet.
Max: "Gwen and I will stay here in case Ben comes back. Y/n, you're the only one who can defend yourself against that monstrous nightmare, so you can go looking for Ben before he hurts himself."
Y/n: "Got it."
They all get dressed and head outside. As Y/n goes to leave, Gwen pulls him into a gentle kiss.
Gwen: "Be careful, okay?"
Y/n gives her a reassuring smile.
Y/n: "Dont worry, I will."
Y/n takes a few steps back and transforms.
Big Chill: "Big Chill!"
Big Chill flys off towards the lake. After a while he finds what looks like the burning remainder of a boat.
Big Chill: "What happened here?... Ben, what have you gotten yourself into?"
A load screech off on the distance catches his attention.
Big Chill: "Seems like it's made another appearance."
Big Chill flies as fast as he can towards the Krakken. He arrives at an abandoned fish cannery and sees Ripjaws and some sort of one manned submarine dive into the lake, with the Krakken close behind. He also sees Gwen and Max exit the cannery onto the docks. He lands next to them.
Big Chill: "Seems like I missed all the action? What's going on?"
Gwen: "Those Friend of Fish guys are poachers, and are trying to steal the Krakken's eggs."
Big Chill: "And big momma didnt take to kindly to that. So that's why she's been wrecking everything."
Big Chill times out right as Ripjaws comes out of the water and hangs the lead poacher on a broken piece of wood sticking put of the water.
He dives back into the water, and not a moment later Shaw comes up in a row boat with Ripjaws in a net. As Shaw was boasting about catching a baby Krakken, Ripjawd timed out. When Shaw looked back and saw Ben in the net, the look of confusion on his face caused Gwen and Y/n to start laughing.
