¨ Are you really going?¨
My best friend Felix spoke as I let out a long sigh, Anger growing within my veins with every second that ticked by. ¨ I don't have much choice, do I?¨
I answered annoyed as I laid back in my chair, i swear to god im going to murder them..
The "royal" family decided it was time for the oh so lovely Prince to get married, he turned 20 yesterday, and immediately the invitations were spread across the country, 50 Human girls were selected to be exact, and I happen to be one of them. The royals promised that their son would marry a human girl in order to keep peace, not that we stand much of a chance against the vampires, but it would avoid an unnecessary war as they say themselves.
Some may find themselves happy to be selected, but me and a few others did certainly not, because they were the reason all of the humans live like animals, although the vampires were in the minority, that didn't stop them from suppressing the humans, about a hundred years ago the vampires took over, it was a brutal war that ended up killing thousands of innocents, now a hundred years later humans are forced to live on the street or in a stall, While the vampires live in the wealthiest houses and palaces.
some humans were lucky and could get a house, but most of the time they had to share it with other people, I despise those Bloodsuckers, every, single, one of them, I hate that they treat us like slaves, like we are nothing more than a blood bag to them
they would murder innocent people by either luring them in, making them fall in love, or just killing them in broad day light, me and my friends are luckily smart enough to use our brains, seeing beyond their good looks and charms, revealing blood-sucking monsters, it makes me sick that some of these girls are brainwashed enough to love that Prince, they adored him, and even wanted to marry him.

My other friend Hyunjin Spoke, his soft voice calming me down for a bit before he sat down, i questioned his words for a second before sighing ¨ When do you need to leave?¨ Felix spoke as I took in a deep breath ¨ in about 20 minutes ¨
I said as He cursed under his breath, a little chuckle escaping my lips as my eyes went back to the floor
¨ for how long will you be gone? ¨
Felix asked again as I shook my head
¨ I have no idea, it can be days, even weeks, but let's hope I will be back by tomorrow night ¨
My voice Spoke as they nodded their heads...

ten minutes later I started to get ready as the colour drained from my face not believing this is exactly happening
I looked in the mirror and checked my outfit once more
I don't have the money for fancy dresses but this will do, I put on a simple dark blue dress that reached all the way past my knees, the dress flattering my body as a smile reached my face
I am going to miss them so much, reality sunk in as I watched myself in the mirror, for many years I have been hiding from the vampires, my parents always told me to stay away from them, and to avoid interacting with them, and now, I will be stuck with them for who knows whole long.
I grabbed a brush and started brushing my hair, I Cursed under my breath as I realised how ridiculous these people must be, the prince is too fucking lazy to pick out some vampire girl and marry her, and now he forces 50 girls to show off infront of him, as if its a circus, sick fuck
¨ can't believe I have to do this ¨
I spoke walking towards my friends who gave me eyes full of pity
¨ It will be oke ¨
Hyunjin said as I nodded before giving him a quick hug, I did the same to Felix before bidding me goodbye and walking out of the door, I immediately started to yawn, o yeah forgot to tell you ... it's 1:00 AM!?

I lazily walked through the nasty streets as I kinda did admire the silence
it was never quiet here, always someone crying, fighting or just kids being kids...The castle could be seen as my nervousness started to increase

All I can do Is hope that everything will be normal tomorrow and I get to go home again...
After a good 20 minutes of walking the woods gave me the sight of the enormous castle...I would be lying if I said that it wasn't pretty, it was beautiful, but yet it looked so mysterious...
I could not keep my eyes off it.....
It had a dark aura surrounding it while the clouds formed a beautiful display above the castle...

I carefully walked towards the door as all kinds of girls entered the castle, Some seemed scared, some seemed just as over it as I was, but a small group of girls couldn't look any happier, they thought it was a good idea to show up in pretty inappropriate clothes, high heels and a thick layer of makeup, no hate to that at all, but I personally wouldn't wear it to the Royals, because even tho I hate them, I dont want to die...
A Gasp escaped my lips the moment I stepped inside the castle, I was greeted with the cold wind blowing through my hair giving me chills down my spine
Eventually, I just wandered around the hallways of the massive castle, my eyes stopping at a beautiful painting, it was a painting of an Angel, bringing blessings upon the People by spreading its wings and shining light onto the city...
I was so in Trance that I didn't even realise that a person was standing next to me
¨ Beautifull painting isn't it? ¨
A sudden voice said causing me to jump up, I placed a hand over my heart as I wide-eyed stared at the stranger next to me, as I did so, I noticed how his hair had fallen in front of his face, his hair was a bit long but with beautiful curls in them, his eyes were dark as the night but his skin as Bright as the sun...
Vampire...
Breathtaking Creatures, that hide their true colors behind their good looks. I simply nodded my head at his question, not wanting to interact more with a vampire than I had too
¨ you are really beautiful, are you perhaps one of the Royal visitors ¨
He asked as My eyes widened, I yelled a quick ¨No¨ in panic as I started to wave my hand in front of me, my stupid face staining red because of the compliment
he chuckled before squinting his eyes at me
¨ Then what are you?.... ¨
he asked with a deep gaze in his eyes causing a lump to form in my throat..., his eyes seemed to be in daze as he studied my figure for a good few seconds
¨ u-uhm, I'm one of the Participant's"
I spoke softly as he sharpened his gaze and simply nodded his head
¨ kinda hoped u weren't ¨
he said almost in a whisper to himself before he disappeared

After a good 20 min of walking, I finally found the other girls, I really didn't feel like introducing myself to them and to be honest, I don't really care, I just wanna go home, I laid on one of the beds as the other girls were busy talking
but after a few minutes the whispering abruptly stopped making me confused, I lifted my head tiredly, to see that the rest of the girls were staring at the doorway, in the doorway was standing a handsome guard, and immediately those Prince lovers started fangirling,
¨urg¨ I groaned in annoyance using a pillow to stop my ears from hurting
when is this hell over?
¨ladies follow me¨
he said in a cold tone, not really bothered by those girls drooling over him,
bro, respect.
I stood up and followed the rest of the group. after some walking, the guard opened a big door which led us to a big....... stage?

the 50 off we were told to get in sections of 10.
we quickly made groups.
and now the nervousness started to kick in
what tf did I get myself into!?
¨I will explain what's gonna happen¨
the guard said nonchalantly, wow, seems like a cool dude.
¨ once at a time a group of 10 girls will go upstage, there will also be different rounds of this, 4 to be exact¨
¨in each round, a few will be picked to stay, the rest is then going to go home, this is all decided by the prince himself¨
there was a moment of silence before whisperings started filling the room.
¨ what will each round be¨
I asked trying not to be bothered by the situation, the guard looked at me before clearing his throat and answering.
¨ We dont know, every round is going to be a surprise¨
I huffed, yuck.
A few minutes passed before I started hearing sentences like
¨ he is going to like me omg ¨
¨ we have the same zodiac we already have so much in common!¨
this shit was cracking me up, I laughed a little making the guard his gaze shift to me, he straightened up and cleared his throat
¨okay first group your up, good luck ¨
he said while pointing at the girls a few meters across from me.
these girls so happened to be the prince lovers, they sprung up and did their 'best' walks on the podium, some looked so fake!
one girl even tripped and fell face flat on the podium.
I couldn't help it, I laughed a little, what can I say, I always laugh at the wrong times
she glared back at me so hard and with such hatred in her eyes, I swear she could burn my eyes out.
