Chapter 40
Derek's POV😈
I don't know what shocked me more at that specific moment as I was still on my knees- the fact that Bella had a child or that the girl that Beau seemed to be infatuated by was no one other than the daughter of the woman I love.
The daughter of the woman I love- wow that sounds off.
I stared in pure astonishment at the little girl who Beau was giving the bouquet that I held a moment ago. She blushed furiously and hid in the curtain of her brown hair. A few seconds later she looked up at her mother who gave her an encouraging nod. Her tiny fingers stretched grabbing the flowers and her eyes stared in amazement at the bouquet in front of her.
She was absolutely adorable and she was exactly how I imagined my daughter to be like -she was exactly what I wanted to have with Bella as a sign of our love, but here she is a sign of Bella's love for another man.
It pained me to think that I couldn't be the father of her child.
But worse the thought of seeing her with someone else made my heart clench because truth is that I couldn't see myself with anyone else but her.
It just struck me that I was the only one stuck on her for the past six years. She clearly didn't care anymore and the thought was painful. I couldn't blame her though because it was all the result of my stupid mistake.
At least she is happy. That is all that matters to me to see her happy. She received the happiness I couldn't give her.
I didn't deserve her.
I will never be good enough for her.
I knew that yet I just hoped...
"Hi there," Ace squatted as he greeted the toddler breaking me from my thoughts. I stood up to see everyone was already standing still in awe.
The toddler or Sierra as Beau called her- clutched to her mother's leg while still holding the bouquet before nodding her head as if saying hi.
"This is my daddy," Proudly presented Beau with a huge grin plastered on his face.
I could see from the corner of my eyes Bella's eyes widened at the news. Her eyes then landed on me before darting to Bianca. Then she looked at Maya who was looking at her shoes as if it were the most interesting thing ever.
"What do you guys want from me?" Bella asked yet again repeated the same question.
"We want you back in our lives, "Numia stated as she rubbed her belly and Bella stared at it with an emotion that I couldn't quite comprehend.
Before she could say anything Jennifer ran to her and pulled her to a hug making sure not to hurt Sierra who was looking at her mother with her big green eyes. Bella immediately stiffened at the contact.
"I missed you so much," Wailed Jenny.
Bella relaxed in her best friend's embrace. Her hands that were on her side were lifted slightly as she wanted to hug her back.
"Why didn't come back to us, why didn't you contact us?" Sobbed Jen and Bella's fingers that were stretched were then pulled back into a fist as her eyes met someone behind me.
Jennifer was right. I could sense something was wrong. I understand the reason why she ran away from me, but why them? Why is she treating them as if they did something to her? Bella practically saw them as her family and in all honesty, she was the glue that put us all together so why is she also pushing them away?
A few seconds later, Bella gently nudged Jennifer away and took a step back.
Hurt flashed through both of them.
Her gaze then planted on me.
Nothing made sense. How and why did Diego prove Bella's death? What happened six years ago? Why was she back now? Don't get me wrong I am happy she is back but why did she take six years. What really happened during those six years ago?
I had questions and she had the answers to them.
But I knew that this wasn't the time for that.
"Come live with us, live with us at least until you stay at school and after that, if you still want to leave you could and of course when I say you I mean your family too," I told her earnestly and she looked at me as I was crazy.
But before she could say anything Maya approached her.
"We need to talk," Maya told her.
"Alone," She added as she eyed us.
"What? Why-" Bianca started but Maya cut her off. "Trust me, I am the only person who could change her mind."
"Can we talk inside?" She asked and Bella stared blankly at her.
At her silence, Maya added without breaking the staring contest. "Please, just one chance".
Bella sighed and opened her door.
Maya entered the house without a second glance and Bella walked to Sierra.
"Baby, I need to do something for a few minutes would you like to play with your friend here while you wait for me?" she asked as tucked one of Sierra's strand of hair behind her ear.
"Oh yes, please say yes," Yelped excitedly Beau and Bella chuckled in amusement at him.
Sierra nodded her head and gave her mom a kiss. She then wiped the batter on her mom's nose which was still on her.
"Yay," Beau jumped up and down before pulling Bella into a hug.
"Thank you for letting her play with me, I'll keep her safe," He said as he huffed up his chest and she patted his head before silently asking us to watch over her daughter to which Ace nodded.
She left shutting the door.
"What's happening?" Whispered Tony confused.
"Why are you whispering?"Alisha asked.
"I don't know," He mumbled.
"Why are you not," he whispered yet again.
I ignored the couple next to me and looked at the closed door there is no point in just standing there and so I approached the little girl.
Her bright green eyes met mine. I smiled at her, she did the same and my heart warmed at that she truly did have her mother's smile.
I opened in my arms and she rushed into my legs surprising me. Since she seemed like a shy child I thought that she would been hesitant. I picked her up as she snuggled close my chest. I could hear her small breathing as I rubbed her back. I could feel tears pooling my eyes - I felt truly happy.
I felt some sort of attachment to this child. I pecked her forehead and she blushed.
"Don't take her away from me," Whined Beau I laughed at him before picking him up too and holding them both in my arms.
Beau started talking making Sierra giggle. I couldn't take my eyes off her and wondered to myself if this is how fathers felt looking at their daughters. Pride, protectiveness, love, fear of them growing up so fast.
Strangely I felt all those emotions towards this big bundle of joy even if I had just met her.
After a while, I had them in my lap as Beau shared a snack with her that Ace had given him. I look at Beau to see him mindlessly eating as he looked at Sierra who was eating the snack that was given to her quietly. I couldn't help but shake my head in amusement.
Ace suddenly put his hands as a barrier stopping him from seeing Sierra, but his son swatted his hands away with a scowl.
"Ouch," Yelped Ace but no one paid him any attention since everyone was still engrossed by Sierra.
The grownups will gush at everything the toddler did.
Beau went back to having a dreamy look on his face as he stared at her yet again as if nothing happened.
Seconds later the little girl basically breathed the food in. Beau immediately left and went to his father who was now seating near the staircase of the porch with an unopened chocolate bar. He snatched his dad's chocolate bar, the grown man yelled in return," Hey that's mine" his son ignored his childish nonsense has he quickly ran back to us and gave the chocolate to Sierra.
Bianca gave her fiance a warning glare which immediately shut him up.
Sierra smiled in responses and struggled to open the package to which Beau gladly helped her with. She broke it into three pieces and handed one for Beau who took it without a word.
With the remaining two pieces in her hands, she looked at me and fed me a piece before gulping the last piece left.
This little girl seriously had everyone wrapped around her pinky.
3rd Person POV
Throughout this moment of confusion and relentlessness, the thing that kept a smile on their faces was the little girl.
She was an angel.
Maybe even the solution of bringing Bella back.
Ace couldn't help but smile as he saw his son interact with his first crush and best friend's daughter.
Yes, first crush.
He fell for her hard since he was just a child and even through his teenage years, but kept it to himself knowing well that Bella didn't see him that way. He didn't want to lose what he already had with her because that was enough for him, having her by his side. Now well he is happy. He has a beautiful fiancé, a son who he loves and his best friend back.
Even though at the beginning their relationship was a way from him to move on and let go of the death of Bella. They both knew it: Ace was hurt and Bianca was just helplessly in love with him. One thing leading to another, a one night stand led to them having Beau. They didn't regret anything because he was the source of happiness in their lives.
For them it was like Bella coming back as their child.
Ace coughed as he felt his throat go dry, the unshed tears in his eyes as Beau and Sierra reminded him of his childhood with Bella.
'Will she come back? Will, whatever Maya have in mind actually work? What happened to Bella and why didn't she come back for them?' Questions that were on everyone's mind.
Jennifer wondered if Bella felt that they chose Derek over her.
Because that wasn't the case.
But what if it comes down to choosing a side? What happens then?
She knew that without any hesitation that she will pick, Bella but there are some who had a very close relationship with Derek.
Will their friendship now come to an end?
Cole, Ace, and Bianca couldn't also help but feel worried about Derek with how the situation has turned. How was he taking it? Even though he was smiling they could sense the distress he was going through. Will he be okay?
They decided to not overthink and just concentrate on what was in front of them- that green eye little angel.

While the group outside were falling in love with this mysterious child, things inside the house was heated.
Nobody really knew the truth. Well except for Bella.
And Maya.
What happened four years ago.
The truth that three years after her disappearance Bella actually came back once Diego revealed the truth to her. However, someone- Maya made her leave, by telling her lies.
That Bianca had a child with the man Bella loves - Derek. Thought at the time Bella couldn't remember him.
That everyone was finally happy and her reappearance would only destroy everything.
Bella would never think of coming in-between people's relationships.
How can she destroy a happy family? Even for her own selfish needs, she could never do that.
She saw them with her own eyes. All of them so happy and peaceful together and she couldn't ruin that which is why she went back.
Even though she was alone during that period at time; she will ignore Diego since she was still mad at him at the time for lying to her. A year living the darkness, the twins appeared in her life-giving her a purpose. She knew that she will do it again for her children because they were the best thing that ever happened to her.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted the best for Bianca. Ace was finally looking at her. You had everything but she had nothing she was finally happy and when you were out of the picture because of your daddy issue but when you came I had to do something. I realize now that you were also in pain. I'm sorry." has a teary Maya revealed her the truth, Mariah felt betrayed all over again.
She didn't show it but inside her was a great pain. Her heart was getting trampled on over and over by those she trusted and loved.
She felt awful as she remembers the scene of all them on the knees for her. She hated seeing them like that. She hated being the source of their misery. She loves them even Maya. Which exactly why she couldn't tell Jennifer that she did come back for them. She just didn't want their beautiful friendship to break because of her. She valued that more than anything.
"Derek loves you Bella, he truly does and I know you love him too. Give him a chance. Come back to us. Please," She trailed on.
As this dialogue was spoken both women ignored that a three-year-old boy was eavesdropping. Archie gasped has he heard that someone loved his mommy and she loved him too.
'Is this person she loved his daddy? Did daddy hurt her.' he wondered.
Archie loved his mommy more than anything and more than anyone even his twin. Of course, he loved his twin, but mommy was special. Mommy was not only a mother, but a father, a friend and his everything which is exactly why he will be her little protector at all cost.
Afterall, he was a mommy's boy.
A/N: I want a son like Archie. Myyyyyy heart oooouuuuffff I ship Beau and Sierra so hard just wait and see their future scenes it is going to be adorable.
