Hello, guys! I hope you're having a great day today. I also hope you're keeping yourself safe from the virus and drinking your vitamins and eating healthy at this time of crisis. I was actually having problems with eating too much nowadays because there's no other appealing hobbies aside from eating too much when you have to stay at home all the time. I could barely control myself but now, I'm being mindful of my eating schedule to prevent myself from snacking all the time.
Alright! Did you know that this book is already two years old? (I didn't) Its 2nd birthday was this May 30! I totally forgot about it and I didn't know it would last for two years. Well, it's not surprising for me because of my lazy ass and obligations as a college student.
I'm also sorry for not being able to put my attention to this more than I should have but this time, I'm really going to give this book all the love she wants because it's finally summer break and I need diversion from delicious foods! (yay!)
ONE MORE THING! BLACKPINK COMEBACK THIS JUNE 26! I HOPE THIS ISN'T A SCAM AGAIN. YG IS REALLY GETTING INTO MY NERVES FOR ALL THE MISTREATMENT OUR BABIES ARE GOING THROUGH (BUT HE DID ONE THING RIGHT ABOUT LISA'S MANAGER SO I'M THANKFUL FOR THAT) HE SHOULD GIVE THEM JUSTICE AS THEIR MONEY MAKER. WE ARE REALLY THIRSTY FOR A COMEBACK AND WE REALLY MISS THEM SO MUCH, AMAYRAYT?
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this update. I should stop with those promises and be real about updates. I will be back for more! I love you guys muahh!

"But why did you say that humans are stubborn?" I queried as we walked toward the elevator. She laughed and tapped a button. We walked inside the elevator and waited for the doors to close. "It was during the reign of my great–one of my grandfathers. It was more or less 2000 years ago. Having to say 'great' repeatedly makes it very long," she joked and I giggled.
"They focused on education and modernizing our society. While the humans are having disputes about all aspects of humanity and nature, we are focused on advancing our utilities. While observing humans, we made some friends who helped them get blood supply in a good manner. For their generosity, we wanted to give them something in return. We ventured on medicine to help them answer questions about diseases which spread that time. We showed them what we were working on but the people that time were all prideful people who wanted to do things their way. They invented debates so they could show off their inner geniuses and wasted resources just to replicate what we just accomplished."
I didn't know what to say to defend my kind due to the fact that I wasn't born that time though I was skeptical. "I won't believe you until you show some evidence," I said while she just chuckled, "see? Even though you know the people that time have the tendency to be stubborn due to their beliefs and whatnots, you chose to deny it." I furrowed my eyebrows in irritation at what she just said and threw a slap on her back but she dodged it and went outside the elevator. She didn't mind it as she released a snicker and waited for me to follow her. "Aw, my cute little baby~," she cooed while pinching my cheeks but I just glared at her as I slapped her arms.
She let out another giggle before stopping her antics and focused ahead. "Well, this is the second floor. This is where my friends reside. There are about 15-20 rooms on this floor alone and maybe the only floor that has many hallways. All rooms are equipped with two beds, a bathroom and a wardrobe. When all of the royal family is present, more than a few hundreds of men and servants are present to tend to the needs of the family but this is the time when it is used the most."
I got confused by what she said. "Uh, what do you mean?"
"Vampires sleep just for leisure. We don't really need to sleep to regain the energy we've used up for the day and their service to the Royals are the most important for them." I furrowed my eyebrows, "so you just pretend to be asleep when you're with me?"
"No! I sleep with you," she said it like it is obvious and I was about to reply when we heard some footsteps, "Omo! Omo! Ya! Lalisa!" Jisoo's voice reverberated through the hallway as she sped toward us along with the others on her tail. They all had the shocked expression on their faces as if Lisa did something unforgivable.
We were just standing while waiting for them to arrive, confused at their outburst. "What is this all about?" Lisa asked when they were already in front of us. I almost laughed when they simultaneously lowered their jaws in disbelief. "Did you forget that we're all vampires here? Except for Jennie, no offense," she said as a matter-of-factly while looking at me for her last statement. I just mumbled, "none taken," as a response.
"How could I?" Lisa replied with a perplexed tone. Joy just scoffed, "well, we just heard you two talking about your bed time activities and it's eww."
"I thought you're not a kiss-and-tell, Lisa," Namjoon had a disgusted expression as he spoke and we just realized what they were talking about. We scoffed and laughed in disbelief while feeling awkward with each other. My cheeks were heating up at the awkwardness and the topic that I didn't know what to say. Luckily, Lisa recovered fast, "Ya! Do you have a selective hearing or something?! If you've listened to the whole conversation, we won't be having this–" We accidentally met eyes but soon averted, "this–" Lisa couldn't finish her sentence as she was getting annoyed while her face started burning up like mine.
"And why are you listening in on us, anyway?" She said glaring at all of her friends while the three just smiled sheepishly at her. "It's not our fault that we're vampires," Jisoo rolled her eyes while her arms were crossed on her chest defensively. I couldn't help but to chuckle at this scene before me. Her friends were as cheeky as her. No wonder they clicked all together and formed this strong bond.
I looked at Lisa and asked, does this happen all the time?
She looked at me with a smirk, most of the time. You don't know what they're capable of. You're becoming quickly accustomed to your ability to communicate with me, huh?
I smiled proudly, our conversation cut short by Jisoo, "Psh, those lovey-dovey eyes makes me wanna puke. No offense again, Jennie. We just don't see this side of her very often," She threw a snide at Lisa while I just giggled at how Lisa attempted to smack her in annoyance. Jisoo wasn't affected at all seeing that she just raised her eyebrow at her.
Lisa sighed in defeat, "okay, might as well introduce you to her formally. Meet us at the headquarters after 30-40 minutes," she said and the three nodded in agreement. "Go back to what you're doing," she dismissed them, receiving an 'okay' and looked at me, "let's go downstairs," she smiled and I nodded.
We started walking down the stairs when our friends went their own way, "the Royal chambers can only be accessed through the elevator that's why the stairs only reaches the second floor," she stated and that's only the time I noticed the absence of stairs leading to the third floor. "It's a strategy, isn't it?" I smiled at how clever the structure of the mansion is and I was proved correct when she nodded. "Yes, it is," she looked at me with a small smile and held my hand.
We reached the first floor and walked toward the kitchen, "I still have three floors to tour you in; this floor, our training ground, and the headquarters. I hope we could finish the tour on time," she chuckled and shook her head, "you know, for several years until now, I believe that there are still hidden doors and passages around this mansion that I've still yet to discover. I still don't believe the blueprint I have of this house." I nodded and looked around, "I know. Considering that your parents have a thing for secret doors and passages, it wouldn't be such a surprise if there are still rooms or floors that you've never been to."
We reached the kitchen, "well, you already saw the kitchen, living room, and the dining room so I'll just direct us toward the library. It is where we keep all records of history of our kind, other supernatural beings, and of course, human kind plus their different cultures. There is also a collection of all the original manuscripts of the different authors throughout the time, some are famous but some are not. As well as some up-to-date books that you could probably see from normal bookshops," I was always drawn toward interesting books that could fill my head with knowledge and knowing that there is a place where I could access all information which are possibly not known to mankind, exhilarates me.
I'm almost jumping at my feet while we're heading toward the side of the house near the dining area, leading to the library of my dreams. Lisa was amused at my excited state but I don't care. I probably look like a kid walking toward a candy shop. "Can I, like, access those books? Like, can I read them or is it also forbidden?" The thought of not having to touch those precious books saddens me. "Hmm!" She giggled and pinched my cheeks, "you're so cute, love and of course, you can but it will probably take you a century or more to finish them all."
She laughed, "saying the library is huge is an understatement. Let me just show you." We reached a huge wooden double doors and the excited expression on Lisa's face also fueled my excitement. She held the wooden knobs and pushed them open. If I were to open those doors, I would've had sore muscles from even trying, and I wouldn't even succeed. Seeing Lisa in her element, being strong and steadfast, made me admire her more. I didn't think twice and kissed her on the cheek, surprising her. I smiled, "I love you."
She giggled embarrassedly while a pink tinge covered her cheeks. When she recovered, she pulled me toward her and stole a kiss, smiling softly after. I giggled at her sweet silence and received an 'I love you,' as a kiss. I averted my eyes toward the library and my jaw dropped at how massive it was. I heard Lisa's soft chuckle at my ear when she saw my reaction. I unclasped from the hug to gauge how enormous this was. This is like the biggest library I've ever seen.
From my calculation, this is probably a four-storey library or more, "this library extends up toward the roof," she said on my side as I absorb the library. The bookshelves lined the walls toward the ceiling of this place and there are probably more than 20 wooden stairs and platforms built so they could access the books freely. Aside from those bookshelves on the walls, there are approximately 30 shelves on the ground. They must have been the shelves for the recent published books.
"We keep this well ventilated to ensure the safety of the records," she said as she walked toward the huge sofa in front of us. It was white and was missing a side to make it a square, giving way to a flat screen TV. The reading area seems cozy with all the pastel-colored beanbags scattered around. There were three big windows in between shelves which were built with cushioned nooks to let natural light in but you could tell that it was controlled due to the presence of thick curtains in times of harsh sunny days.
She sat down on the sofa, "this is my favorite spot here by the way. There were others sofas around here and some tables to read on but this is the coziest for me," she said while I walked around the place. I noticed a pile of books on the right and pointed at it, looking at Lisa in a silent question. "Oh, uhm," she stood up and walked toward me, "we're in some kind of a mission and we crucially need information about it but we barely found any so we were rummaging through this place. You'll know about it tomorrow," she smiled and gestured to go, "let's go? You can visit here anytime you want," she chuckled at me, probably because my eyes could be sparkling in delight at what she said.
"I'll be here every day. Just a heads up," I looked at her giddily as we walked out while she just bit her lip and pinched my cheek, "I'll gladly let you in."
We proceeded toward the elevator beside the stairs and got in, "the other two floors are the basements of this mansion. You'll see the training ground first," I nodded with excitement. "But why do vampires need training if they're already equipped with heightened abilities?" I was confused. She hummed, wrapping her arms around me while waiting for the elevator to ding. "I wouldn't be able to hug you like this if I wasn't trained. More importantly, I wouldn't be able to resist the temptation of your blood if I wasn't."
I moved in her arms to have a look at her, "what do you mean?"
I could barely see the sadness on her expression as she said her next words.
"Control, Jennie. Only if I have control, shall I be worthy of being near you."
