That being said, welcome to the first week of double recaps since- aggressively checks notes- literally January, holy crap it's been a long time. And b o y o h b o y does it feel good to be back on schedule.
Jumping right into milestones, let's see; RauvSucksAtWriting (who does nOt suck at writing) passed 1k reads on their headcanononeshotincorrectquoteau hybrid book, "Hermitcraft Stuff for the Soul". Congrats, Rauv!
Similarly, Finngegins_trash hit #1 on the tags "winged" and "jumbo" with their fanfiction Lightwing, an AU of Watchers, Admins, and various entities on the run from humanity. The fact that a Hermitcraft fanfiction can come first on a non-Hermitcraft related tag like 'winged' is actually really cool, what if we started tagging our books with random words like 'apple' or 'cult' to see how many tags we could take over- omg guys everyone tag your books with werewolf and we can take over those cliche werewolf romance stories with Hermitcraft fanfiction it'll be amazing- haha im just kidding but like- what if- (LETS OVERTHROW THE WEREWOLF ROMANCE INDUSTRY WOOT WOOT... and if you guys don't ill do it myself)
Qwerty1234543212 is shOok by the well-deserved 369 reads on their art book- go check it out for their Jevin doodles, art remakes and the like, and we can get you to three hundred sixty nine bAzilLion :D
Ash_InTheFlames hit 40k reads on her oneshots book and 15k reads on Hidden Magic, set in an AU where magic is forbidden- however, Hermitcraft is a safe space where the magic-using outlaws can practice their magic freely. It's difficult for magic users to find it, but once they do, they'll find themselves in a place where they're more free than they've ever been before. (hopefully I fixed that before it was too late - Ash)
As well as that, a few authors are taking breaks this week: hermitcraft_addict is getting a bit unmotivated for Hermitcraft, JeremyTheGayAssFox is leaving for a bit, and aiMHana, after hundreds of chapters of Hermitcraft related rambles and oneshots, is moving on to other fandoms. Next up, in Hermitcraft-AUs-that-came-up-this-week-that-need-to-happen: Deltarune AU, Gravity Falls AU (oop, actually PotatoSquared_15 is doing that) and Wings of Fire AU, any takers? Although, on second thought, I'm not sure there's anyone whose personality can be compared with that of our lord and savior Prince Fluffy Boi Ralsei. (Fluff boi prince ralsei is my life and blood and i love him i would die for fluffy boi ralsei i love him please take all my uwus and owos ralsei.)

Mysaat updated their story "Like a True Friend" for the first time in over a year this week. This book was published in November 2018, and slowly faded into obscurity over its year of inactivity- but it's back, and quite possibly the oldest active book in Hermittpad at this point.
Normally I wouldn't mention this week's fandom-wide tag, but it's a bit different this time. Casuallyy pioneered a Positivity Tag; you'll get tagged with a short paragraph saying positive things about you, and then you have to spread the positivity by making your own tag chapter, tagging several people and writing a few kind sentences about them. This is a really great way to spread kindness in this fandom, thank you Kittie! <3
As well as that, the Boop has been taking over Hermittpad faster than tags ever could, shredding apart announcement boards and the like with various plays on "boop! Pass it on <3" or "YOUVE BEEN BOOPED LET THE BOOPPACALYPSE BEGIN". I made the mistake of booping Alter, who then booped everyone, who prompted Smutler to make an announcement, and- oh lord, it's all gotten out of hand.
@That-One-Genderfluid started another Hermittpad Demise game, with a new set of rules and challenges (honestly, it's kind of amazing how many ways people can take a concept and play it out in different methods on this platform). This time, the Demised get to vote out one alive team member to knock out each round, though there are also traitors and events thrown in to spice it up. Check Genderfluid's book for a more descriptive runthrough of the rules!
Skys26 's Wood Wars started, with a riddle using several codes to get to a certain profile and a list of Minecraft trivia to start off the war. Last time we talked about Wood Wars, I think a Dark Oak cult started in our comments..? Not naming any names but- you know who you are.
If you haven't heard yet (not sure how), Wels introduced a new character to his Hermitcraft videos the other day; Helsknight, opening up a vast plateau of 0pportunity for ships, angst, fluff, and more. If your notifs haven't been flooded with Hels fanart, fanfiction, and announcements lately, you really are a hermit.
@IAmRedXD has recently been dubbed as 'the Bdoc dealer' in the announcements of NoNamedNerd. They've since delivered with a 4.5k word Bdoc soulmate AU in their Hermitcraft oneshot book!
Snouwball wrote an adorable Cleoss fluff oneshot set back in Season 6 that's guaranteed to steal your heart! In sharp contrast to fluff, we see that llamacarrot has recently started a new book: The Break-Out; an action-packed Gang AU of sorts.
@YAYS940 wrote a spot of platonic Kersuma- in this great work of fiction, Keralis tackles Xisuma as a way of saying hello so Xisuma pUllS oUt a tAseR oN hiM- I don't know how the author managed to make tasering wholesome, but it's Kersuma so I'm not going to question it. Every day, I swear, this fandom strays further from the line of sanity-

@Ria_Rue seems to be a brand new writer joining us in the Hermittpad community, with a brand new oneshot book! They've opened up oneshot requests for both Season 6 and Season 7. While they haven't published any oneshots yet, we sure are excited to see what Ria has in store for us!
BridgetTh3B1RD finished Caught in the Crossfire, a story of the Architechs tearing themselves apart after an argument with Mumbo- well, caught in the crossfire. Never fear, though, Savi has hinted that we may be getting a sequel ;)
Similarly, @Lille_est_vivant is starting a new Hermitcraft oneshots book!! They're also taking requests as for what to write, anything except for the ships Grumbo and Vintageslab, which they already have projects for.
@Aria_Cinabun has been quietly posting chapters for their book "A Small Chance Of Redemption" for the past few weeks, and it's a shame we only noticed this book now because hOly heck is it a good read!! Centered around False, the book follows the Queen of Heads, Hearts and Body Parts through her mental tribulations after years of murdering for her kingdom's entertainment. This book was initially posted on AO3, so no spoilers if you've already read it!
The_Withered_Lily updated their story "When The Blood Crystal Breaks" this week , a Watcher/Listener/Observer fic centered around a worldly "Blood Crystal." With the prologue focused on a mysterious group of characters with gemstone names and a surprisingly idyllic first chapter with the hermits, I can't wait to watch this story descend into chaos as the two sets of characters intertwine ;D
@Dwagon_Girl wrote a variety of poems about the hermits in her Oneshots and Random AUs book, including a Limerick about Iskall, Haiku about Stress, and a couple of all-too-accurate Acrostic poems. Speaking of beautiful poetry, that leads us into today's glorious contribution by Smutler, inspired by the Undertale references so subtly thrown into the beginning :]

The account HermittpadLostOnes was created this week to remember the Hermittpadders that are no longer with us, like Xian and Rena. It's a sweet idea and definitely something worth mentioning in this recap <3
And lastly, the famous Jellie- as in, Scar's-cat-Jellie- is undergoing surgery. Hoping the best for Jellie, and that everything goes well; we love you Scar!! <3 <3
