Ray's Pov
We were walking down the corridor that leads to the dining room. Back at the stair case Emma told us that it was Phil that pointed out the morse code. I knew it that Emma wasn't the one that found the morse code. An airhead wouldn't find that all of a sudden.
"So after that happened I got curious and went to check all the other books" Emma said.
"See, it all makes sense now." I jokingly replied, I like teasing Emma, she gets mad easily, well, to be expected because she's energetic and open.
"What are you trying to imply-"but before she could finish her sentence we saw that the dining room was being prepared by the younger children.
"Wait....Where's Don and Gilda?"
No....
Don't tell me they....
"They're not here either!"Norman informed us.
Damn.
I told them not to go there.
What if they got caught...What if....
We need to find them.
But when I turned around, there they are. Standing there with those looks on their faces. Like they've known the bitter truth.
"Don, Gilda! Thank goodness we just assumed that-" But before Emma could continue what she was saying, I put my hand out to stop her.
"Where have you been?" I asked them.
They were in Mama's secret room weren't they?
"The kids are watching, let's save this for later" Norman said.
Right, the kids are here, I've got no choice then.
So, we ate our dinner, cleaned up the dinning room, did what we need to do and met back here later on. It's dark, but we have a lamp.
"So..."
"We were in Mama's secret room, it was a hidden basement." Don said
I knew it.
"HOW DID YOU GET IN??!" Emma exclaimed, she needs to tone down a little someone might hear us.
"Don pickpocketed mama.." Gilda replied
What the- Did she notice?
"HE PICKPOCKETED MAMA????"Again Emma, with that voice of yours.
"Has she noticed??" Norman asked
She might've noticed. If there aren't holes in her pockets then she would suspect Don.
"I don't think so. We also returnrd the key to her probably. So...." Gilda said

"This is exactly why we shouldn't have!" I began my scolding
"Just try using your brain a little. What if the room was rigged with some sort of security camera, listening device, or an alarm system?"
"Mama and Sister Krone would find us out, and you guys...No all of us would be..." I stopped myself from speaking the truth
They weren't supposed to know.
Not now.
But what if they figured out the truth of the house in the basement.
They'll see us as liars.
But I'm prepared for that.
"All of us would be what? Spit it out, Ray." Don demanded.
"Killed?"
So they really found out.
"You liars."
This is the part where their point of view for us changes.
Norman told us to lie to them.
And we're ready when the time comes.
"You don't know what happened to Conny? We need to save our siblings? What a load of bullcrap."
"You know we can't save them."
"Because Conny..."
"Conny and everybody else is already..."
Dead.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry!!!" Emma begun apologizing to Don.
"Just as I thought." As Don said that, Emma flinched.
"See Gilda? They really were lying to our faces." Don continued
Moron.
"What are you hiding from us? Spit out everything you got."
You want the truth?
Fine.
We'll tell you the truth.
Emma was the one who fully explained everything. From the demons, the farms, the shipment, and so on.
That's the truth of this world.
Mama is an enemy.
We are being shipped out.
No ones adopting us.
We're being raised for food.
Demons are out there.
This world is full of danger.
We need to escape this Neverland.
Don's Pov
No way...
Demons?
Conny...Everybody....
Even we?
Were raised for the sole purpose of being food?
"Also..." Emma continued. But the next words that I heard. Really ticked me off.
"Ray's a spy?"
What the heck?
He was the one reporting to mama on what's happening?
I trusted them.
I trusted him.
I trusted her.
"All this time?" I said
"Remember, it was for our sake!" Norman tried to reason with me. But I ignored him.
"Then...Ray....You...."
He knew what was going to happen.
He didn't stop them.
Not like he could.
"You knew what would happen to Conny the day she left?" I said.
...
I trusted them.
Do they not trust us?
"Emma....Norman...."
"So both of you were trying to lead us into a world full of enemies without knowing a single thing about the truth?" I said. Trying to keep my sanity, trying not to snap at them, trying not to release my anger.
Then I started laughing.
I can't take it anymore.
They don't trust us don't they?
Leading us to a world full of danger.
Without knowing the truth.
That will get us all killed.
Don't they trust us?
Don't they?!!
I stopped laughing. Then I released my anger on them. I punched Norman in the face. This shocked the others in the room.
"DON!!" Ray tried to stop me but I just punched him as well. After that I grabbed Emma by her shirt collar. But I can't bring myself to punch her.
"Don..." Gilda said
If we don't know the truth what are we supposed to do?
What are we supposed to do when we get out of here?
Follow them like lost puppies?
And that's it?
Are we useless to them?
Do they only try to drag us along?
To make us help them fulfill their desires of this mission?
Keep us safe all the time?
No.
That's not the Emma I know.
That's not the Norman I know.
That's not the Ray I know.
"Are we really...that useless?" I said after a few seconds or minutes of silence.
"In your eyes...."
"Are we seriously that useless so you have no choice but "protect us from the world"?" I said.
"I already know why you lied to us"
We know
Emma wouldn't lie
When she does
"It's because you wanted to keep us safe right?" I said, speaking my thoughts out.
"I get it...still...."
"I thought you wanted us to help you out!"
"It's depressing..."
"It's frustrating..."
"it's true we aren't as smart as you guys. Nobody can deny that fact!"
"But we're family! We're siblings!"
"We just wanted you to have a little faith in us...." I said. I said it all. Everything that would cloud my thoughts.
I need some time alone.
"My bad...I'm acting a little strange right now. Let me cool down for a bit."
I said, and with that, I left the dining area. Gilda following me.
Emma's Pov
I'm sorry Don...Gilda....
I'm sorry for not telling the truth...
For not trusting you with the truth at mind....
"It definitely wasn't our intention...but...now I can see how we've been cruel to them." I said
"Like he said there's no denying that we aren't the same level as them. Anyway, you did say that you were prepared to take anything from those two...when you first proposed the idea that we should escape together." Ray said.
"Well...yeah...but..." I said wandering to my thoughts.
Don and Gilda really trusted us.
They were so supportive of us and yet...
I didn't trust their abilities.
I was wrong.
My mindset was wrong.
We need to apologize to them!
"I'm going to apologize to them!" I said to Ray and Norman.
"I wasn't thinking right. I invested in preparing for them to resent us. But I didn't trust their abilities! I need to tell them...that I was wrong with the mindset!" I said.
"Right! We need to apologize come on Ray!" Norman said
"Alright." said Ray
Thanks to those two I finally know
The real way we should be approaching this escape
I won't make any more mistakes
The five of us have to come together again!
But I can't shake off this feeling of being watched
Probably must be something else
"Hey Norman, Ray where would they be?" I said wandering down the halls
"It could be the bedrooms or outside." Ray said
"Alright! Let's go to the bedrooms first and see if they're there." Norman said. We agreed. We went to the bedrooms, but they weren't there. So they had to be outside.
"Hey Norman, do you think that those two will still join us on preparing for the escape." I asked Norman.
"Let me see....they might be, because now they know the truth, that's why we're going to apologize to them right? So they could still join us in the escape, but we could rely on them more now." Norman explained.
"Plus, they would have to pick either they stay and die or escape and survive, isn't that something that a person woild want to do once they found out the dangers of a certain place?" Ray added.
He's right though. Once you find out the dangers of a place. You would think of escape.
I think?
"It would depend on the person." Norman said pausing before continuing. "If the person has a strong will power, determination or desire, they could possibly able to make an escape. The opposite happens to a person with negative traits." Norman explained
"Ohh. I really wish that they would accept our apology though, they trusted us, but we didn't and kept the truth from them, I didn't know that Don would resort to violence after finding out the truth. I just hope they could give us another chance to help us." I said with an expression of worry lying on my face.
"Then let's go try and apologize, besides we're already here." Ray said as I noticed the door leading outside
"Let's go."
