Okay, hey guys. Smutler, Stuffy, and I each wrote separate intros so scratch it all, 6:00 pm on Sunday we're doing this again. This Recap was built on panic, sleep deprivation, and toaster quesadillas; everyone got slammed with IRL stuff this week and it was only started last night- one impromptu all-nighter and several trillion braincells later, we're here! :D
Before we stumble into the events and mishaps of this week on the Hermittpad platform, there's a quick announcement to be made; _adrilia_, or Adri or Lia or Ardu or Ardriyeallalalalala or Adrenaline or Arsondri or whatever the heck you call her has decided to leave the team. Ardi was here on the team from the very beginning, when everyone was just screaming on a thread in Google classroom, and really pushed this account from a messy brainstorm in Google docs to a somewhat-functioning account. Thank you Adri, for leading the Writers book, introducing the Recap book, creating OOTIITRW, supporting the community recap, and pushing this Recap forward since day one. We love you, and you'll always be welcomed with open arms if you want to come back <3

Hi it's me Smutler- I'm gonna give you a tip if you want to be in the Author recap (like mentioned somehow)
First, post in your announcements (and pin it) if you make a new book, reach a book read milestone, or achieve a follower account goal. Personally, for me I gather most info for this by going down the Hermittpad Archives + Hermittpad Recap accounts and looking at all the announcements and jotting down notes about it.
Second, don't just post Grian and Mumbo content. Nothin wrong with our bois, but uh- everyone does them. And we try to have flavorrrrr here ya know? I'm gonna move on before I get attacked by Grumbo stans-
Third, DM hermittpad recap or hermittpad archives something you think that you want in the recap- like if you got a certain number of followers, working on a new book, etc etc. If we put it in or not is debatable but still. You'll get on our radar and we'll make sure to put your books in the Archives so we can recap you again in the future!
So yeah- if you want to be put in the author recap go ahead and try those things- like seriously. Or be in the recap team so you can self advertise .w. That was a joke- do not take the recap team thing seriously- do not join the team just to self advertise or I will attack you-
There were several in the 1k milestone this week; Raicon-Quesamigos on their art book, LoxodontaMaximus on their one shot book, and- oh lookie here it's a self-insert of KingChocoFacialHair who hit 1k reads on their sh-t posting book. Hrm Smutler you might want to re-read that last paragraph, Mr. We-Don't-Put-Bullet-Points-Of-Ourselves-In-The-Recap. (you cant just fuck off- IM JOKING ILY PLEASE DONT -Smutler) (haha -proceeds to fuck off- that sounds so wrong wait no wait shit-)
Extra achievements this week my dudes- AlterlineSucks (u don't suck :() (oh god that face that it forms) snagged 145 followers and is almost at 150, RenDiggityWilly hit 200 followers and has begun, uh; -checks notes- writing the one-month sm- whoops, never mind, mOVING ON-
Xyekem blasted through 100 followers, Cramsalesman rocketed through 200 followers, Anon1909 zoomed through 50 followers, TsunamiStarz kabloomed through 300 followers, like woah save some growth for the rest of us guys.

Moving on to some community events! The fluff vs. angst challenge set by _adrilia_ was set into action this week, with Team Angst posting their part on the account TeamAngsty and Team Fluff posting their part on TeamFluffy. The recap team is unbiased, of course, but #TeamAngstFTW (for legal reasons, that's a joke; both sides did great and we look forward to hearing the readers' decision!)
