Troubles P.O.V
I slammed the fridge door shut with my left foot as my arms were full with Sodas, I wasn't thirsty, I just needed to get some stress off my shoulders and calm myself down.
I lined them up along the table, one next to the other, an inch gap between them before stepping back until I was up against the wall, I pulled my gun from my pocket and took a deep breath in before shooting each can one by one, my teeth biting chewing onto my bottom lip.
The sound the bullet made as it made impact with the can, the fizz of the soda and then sound of the gun itself brought a slight smile to my face, honestly, I missed being able to shoot people and get away with it, it's not that i'm a bad person, it's that I just loved to shoot stuff. I then lowered the gun and placed it back into my pocket,
"I used to be so calm.." I said outloud "I used to be so nice.. Destiny calmed me.. Destiny made me feel like I could be a better person.. but now I'm back to the way I was before.." I sighed loudly, walking over and picking up a can, closing my mouth around the bullet hole and drinking it from there.
"Sun Down" I said out loud once more
"Sun Down and I'll have my baby girl back in my arms" I was confident that Bert would confess everything, if not I'd have to go to Plan B, Plan B was defiantly a risky one.
I sat down on my sofa, kicking my shoes off and laying down, my mouth never losing contact with the hole in the can, I finally moved it away from my lips as I reached down to grab the tv remote,
"SunDown.. Just wait unti SunDown.." I kept saying to myself, reasurring myself that everything was going to be alright.
I flicked on the Television to see there was a news story on the whole case,
"what the.. we agreed it wouldn't be on T.V!" I scoffed and sat up, my eyes glued to the screen.
"I'm standing here outside a court house where a 17 year old girl was trialed for two attempted murders.." the news report said with a smug look along her face,
"Destiny Willows was found guilty after she attempted to kill Bert Millions at a local hospital with a knife and after she had attempted to kill another citizen with a gun in the back of the neck. so far, nobody but Mr.Millions has pressed charges" I punched the sofa next to me, He's a liar! how could they not see that! They're all liars!
"at this point in time Destiny will be facing 10 years of jail time, Bert millons talks of the terror attack" the tv then switched to Bert standing outside the courtroom, moments after I had told him that he must confess by sundown if he knew what was good to him, he had at-least 10 microphones shoved under his noses witht he same amount of camera surrounding him.
"It was terrible!" He moaned "She just jumped over the bed and attacked me like some sort of wild animal! I'm getting all shaky just thinking about it" I narrowed my eyes at the screen
"I think it was appropriate for her to go to jail.. I think it's safer for everyone.." He then looked directly at the camera and said slyly
"and she will defiantly be staying in that jail past sundown. and there is nothing anybody can do about it" he was obviously directing it at me, everybody else would've been so very confused.
I was just about to jump up off of the sofa and march all the way down to Berts house and shoot his head off when my phone began to ring, startling me slightly, I answered the private number quickly
"Hello?"
"I believe you saw my little message on the news..?" Berts evil voice said from the other end of the phone
"god I hate you.." My husky voice replied
"I'm not asking anybody to like me" He chuckled before continuing
"I'm not confessing anything, I love my freedom"
"Do you like breathing..?" I mumbled, standing up, chewing my bottom lip once more.
"Oh Breathing, I really love that"
"well if you love it, and you want to breath some more, I'd confess by sundown" He let out one big 'HA'
"Look out your window, the sun is ever so slowly setting, even if i did confess, she wouldnt be let out of jail so soon" I groaned and walked over to the wall, pressing my forehead against it
"Well once I prove that she's innocent, you'll be going into jail for the death of my parents and every other death you've caused!" He laughed
"I wont be going into jail Trouble.. I can promise you that"
"You might not be going to jail, but you'll be going into a grave if you don't stop being a smart ass.."
There was a moment of silence before I broke it
"Just listen here Bert. if you don't confess that you're the guilty one in this situation you will meet an early death, ya hear me?" He laughed once more and let out a large sigh
"I'll never confess"
"then I guess your heart will stop beating"
"I'd like to see you try" He chuckled
"This is the last time I'm going to tell you, Sundown" and with that I hung up, ditching my phone at the wall in anger.
a few hours later I had fallen asleep on the sofa and was awoken by a loud banging on my door, I jumped up and saw that the sun had set, I stood up, my hair all messed and my eyes barley open. The loud banging on the door continued,
"I'm coming I'm coming!" I said sleepily as I quickly opened the door, D stood there with his arms by his sides
"D..?"
"Trouble- Jason- T- I really don't know what to call you.." He chuckled slightly
"Call me Trouble.. why are you here? did he confess?!" I quickly said as I pictured Destiny sitting in a jail cell all alone without me to comfort her.
D shook his head
"he didn't confess.. that's why I'm here.." I gave him a strange look
"If he didn't confess, did you have fall back plan?" My eyes lite up as I remembered my fallback plan.
"oh yes. yes I do.."
"did it involve a Jail break..?" I moved out the way of the door
"come in.."
We both sat at the kitchen table, Ds eyes wandered to the punctured cans of soda
"uh.." He mumbled, pointing to the cans
"I was angry.. thirsty?" He chuckled as I slid one across the table to him,
"so, this Jail break, need any help?"
"I might need a little help- wait.. why are you helping me..? You kidnapped Destiny and all.." He sighed loudly and took a sip from the can
"I know as well as you that she is innocent.. she wouldn't hurt a fly if it came and pooped on her sandwhich" I nodded slowly.
"so.. back to the plan.. please explain" He put the can down slowly
"I was thinking of going there when it's lights out at the jail, try to find Destinys Cell and break her out.. that's as far as I got.. I don't know how I'm gonna get in.." D laughed
"Can I just rearange the plan a little?" I nodded slowly
"How about we leave now and get there before lights out so I can go in and 'visit her'" a slight smile was brought to my face
"Please continue.."
"then I'll drop you a text-"
"wait.. that's not going to work.. they'll make you give them your phone"
"I wont give it to them.. simple"
I laughed slightly
"anyway, I'll text you what Cell I'm in, and then you can climb through a window or something.." I nodded
"I'll just climb through the roof.. I think that'll be easier.. we'll work it out when we get there" He smiled and stood up.
"Well we better hurry if we want to get there before lights out aye?" He chuckled
"go wait in the car, I have to grab a few things" He smiled and nodded before running out
"I'm coming for you Destiny" I said to myself as I made my way upstairs quickly
"I'm going through with my promise.. I always keep my promises.. always"
