I fidgeted with my phone for the past 30 minutes. I wanted to call Naya so bad but today I told her not come since I told her I would be fine for the day. Truth to be told I missed her, I missed her voice, I missed her smile, her laugh that invaded the room, just her presence made everything in ease. I actually wanted to take a step into our friendship, a big one actually. I wanted to ask her out on a date, we knew a lot about each other already it's like we were dating already yet we aren't and I don't get that sometimes.
I looked at her name on the screen, i mustered up all the courage to press the call button and I lifted my phone up into my ear. Its ringing.
"Hello" I stayed quiet for a moment "Demi?" I cleared my throat before speaking "Hi Na-Naya" Damn Dani you're talking to her on the phone and you're still stuttering, it's not like she's in front of you staring at you intensely. Okay now I can't get that image out of my head.
"Hey Dems, what's up? Did you fall? Want me to go over there right now?" Her voice was immediately filled with concern
"No Naya I'm fine I just called you because.... I missed you" I mumbled the last part.
She stayed quiet before speaking up "I sorta miss you too" I could her the nervousness in her voice.
"Um I actually called you to ask you something" I started fidgeting with my fingers
"What's that?" She said out of curiosity
"goonadatewithme" I said rather fast
"Demi can you speak a little slower por favor" Oh my god my heart just skipped a beat hearing her talk spanish
"Do you maybe want to....go on a date...with me?" I asked in a hopeful voice
"Yeah. Sure when?" I fist pumped once I hear her say yes, I mean after all she couldn't see me
"Here? Tomorrow at 4. I know it's early for a date but I kinda want to spend the day watching movies and stuff like that....with you" I said kinda shyly
"Awww that's cute. Yeah sure I'll be there if it involves cuddling up with you" I could practically see her sending me one of her signature winks though the phone
"Okay great! See you then" Once I hung up I dialed Leas number quick
"Hey De-"
"Guess who got a date?!? Me! And with Naya, oh my god is this even real? is this what feeling happy feels like" She only laughed
"Okay well good luck on your date Demi, make the best out of it" She hung up.
After I spend the whole day fantasizing about me and Naya and getting married....woah too soon, you aren't even together....yet. Before I knew it it was time for sleep time and I drifted off into a deep sleep.

I spend my whole day trying to think of ways to make this date at least a little more romantic, I mean just staying in and doing nothing isn't romantic.
At the end I thought of something brilliant. A simple indoor picnic. Its dumb I know but I mean as long as Naya is impressed then I'm okay. I started setting up little things around the living room, I actually got up and did everything instead of being on my wheelchair. I set a blanket on the floor of empty space in front of the tv, I had a fire place but I never actually turned it on, this would probably be my first time turning it on in this place. I mean it was midway through October so I really had no reason to turn it on since isn't that cold,but yet I find myself turning it on for Naya just for her, all of this for her. I looked around the room making sure it's clean around the living room. I gave myself a pat in the back for all of this and made my way to my room to get ready.
Once I was done taking a shower and trying to pick out an outfit which was extremely difficult, I didn't know what to put on. At the end I just ended up going with a simple outfit, black skinny jeans and just a button up shirt with some vans. I put my hair to the side like always of course and made my way to the living room with my wheelchair. I honestly hate driving around with this wheelchair, I could walk more now but I can't wait to be able to just use crutches in a week. My arm is supposed to be good by then, hopefully.
I grabbed the basket in top of the counter in my kitchen and put it next to one of the sofas in the living room where hopefully I would be next too.
It was 3:54, only 6 minutes until she's knocking on my door. I felt this nervousness that I always feel with her start building up, my palms were starting to get sweaty, just them I heard a light knock on my door. I went to the door and took a deep breath before opening it only to find a nervous Naya pacing back and forth murmuring things to herself
"Hi Demi. No that sounds to plain, hey Demi how's it going?....ugh no that sounds like an everyday thing, You can do better than that Naya" she said to herself, it was rather amusing seeing her like this especially since it's the first time seeing her this nervous
"I think it's cute" her head snapped from the floor and her eyes met mine, she gave me a weak smile and a small wave
"Hi Demi. I-I'm sorry you had to witness that" she mumbled
"It's okay, that was cute seeing you like that" she looked at me with such an intense stare making me get lost in her eyes, I broke the eye contact and cleared my throat "Um...come in" she smiled shaking her head lightly before entering the house. She started pushing my wheelchair to the living room
"Mrrrrrrr" she said making me giggle, I would never get tired of hearing that. She stopped once she was the living room and the fireplace on
"Awww Demi" she went around and kissed my cheek, I got up from my wheelchair surprising Naya a bit
"Okay I forgot you could walk" she giggled. She grabbed my hand and led me to the middle of the living room were everything was at. I slowly sat on the blanket that was covering the carpet of the floor
"So warm" she said getting closer to the fire. I positioned myself on the floor with my legs out while my back was hitting the sofa "Its only 40 degrees outside" I said
"That's still kinda cold okay I mean hello I kinda came from California" she said sarcastically making me laugh
"Sorry I'm from Texas so we're kinda even" she shrugged and sat in front of me crossing her legs. Her shirt was just a t-shirt hanging loosely from her, I could honestly see her boobs making a wave of pleasure hit me. It was honestly so hot, feeling them with my hands while our naked bodies gri- okay that's enough Demi
"Um I have food" I said nervously pretending I just didn't think about her like that. I brought a little picnic basket from the side of the couch, I saw her face light up once she saw my little tiny food basket
"Okay that's cute, where do you get these stuff?" I shrugged
"Online" she raised her eyebrows and smiled at me sweetly
"Okay so I didn't want to go a cliche and make actual food so there's chips, tortillas and chicken" I said kinda feeling shy about it, I hoped she liked it.
"Oh my god that's so cute" she said making me blush "this is so nice, I like how you put your own thought into it" I grinned and took out the things off the basket "I forgot to tell you that there's drinks here um water?" She nodded "of course" she gestured towards her stomach making me giggle
"You're cute okay, this is cute, overall this is cute and I can't stop saying that but it's just cute"
"Thanks" I said sincerely, hearing her say that really made a wave of confidence hit me
"So if this date goes well then hopefully there will be another one"
"Yeah I mean so far it's going great I don't see why not" I high fived myself mentally 'Good going Demi good' .
"What if we skip the second date and go straight into a relationship" I said, what? Who even says that? On a first date oh my god.
"I mean I know you a lot already and dates are usually just to get to know each other more and just to see if those feelings are there but I don't need to see because my feelings for you have been there for a while" My heart skipped a beat at her statement 'my feelings for you have been there for a while' just hearing her say it made me have chills down my spine
"Oh mine well I liked you since forever uh maybe before we met" I blushed hoping she didn't think I was weird "I mean I had a crush on you before we met, but just meeting you made it confirm that it wasn't a crush anymore, I actually liked you" she smiled and moved from in front of me to sit beside me
"If that's the way of you saying 'I like you' then I like you too" I blushed, just seeing how close we were made me feel those butterflies in my stomach
"Yes I like you A LOT" I said as emphasizing 'a lot'
"Care to show me how much you like me" she whispered getting closer to me, I saw her leaning in, this was it, this is what I've been waiting for. I closed the gap by lending in and immediately I felt this new pool of sensation cross my stomach, it felt amazing, her lips against mine, I could taste the cherry Lipgloss she was wearing. Once we were running out of breath we broke the kiss up
"That. That was something else" she pointed out licking her lips before leaning in for another kiss, this one was short and sweet.
"Okay I think I found my new favorite hobby" she ran her fingers around my neck
"Mmmm what's that?" She whispered against my lips
"Kissing you"
