"Marble Madness" but written differently.
3rd Person P.O.V.
(Connie) Here.
She hands him a book.
(Steven) What is this?
(Connie) It's my favorite series. It's about this girl named Lisa. And she's a witch. I mean, she doesn't know she's a witch at first. And she has a familiar, which is sort of like this spirit companion that everyone in the world has, and hers is a talking falcom name Archimicarus. Anyways, she goes on this quest to find her father after he's kidnapped hy a mysterious one-eyed man.
(Steven) This book sounds interesting. I'll read it when I have the time.
(Connie) I'm sure you'll like it.
Something crashed into the ocean.
(Connie) Whoa...
The gems heard the rumble from inside and immediately went outside.
(Steven) Its one of those robonoids but this one is much larger than the other ones.
(Connie) What?
It started marching towards them but Garnet hopped in front of it to halt it.
(Garnet) Amethyst! Pearl!
They both started falling from the sky and landed on the robonoids to create a critical hit and destroyed it. Goo was everywhere.
(Steven) You alright?
(Connie) I love hanging out at your place...
Steven wiped the goo off of him.
(Pearl) We never seen one this big before.
(Amethyst) Or this gooey.
(Pearl) Amethyst, we need to be careful. We don't know what this stuff is.
(Amethyst) (snickering)
(Pearl) Oh, no. Don't you dare get that stuff on me!
(Amethyst) Goop hug!
She started chasing Pearl.
(Amethyst) C'mere, Pearl!
(Pearl) No, go away!
(Amethyst) I want a hug!
(Connie) Peridot, is that the gem you told me about?
(Steven) Yes. From what we know, she tried to rebuild the Galaxy Warp Pad so Homeworld can use it to get to Earth.
(Connie) Thats bad, right?
(Steven) The gems are terrified of them returning, so I guess that is bad. Hopefully, they never get here.
(Pearl) AHH, AMETHYST, LET GO OF ME!
Steven walked towards Garnet, inspecting the broken device.
(Steven) What do you think it was trying to do?
(Garnet) We destroyed it, thats all that matters.
(Steven) Is there anything we can salvage? We could use some of the technology.
(Garnet) The technology that these robonoids have are not useful for us. Even if it was, theres nothing we could salvage from this one.
(Amethyst) Goop hug!
Amethyst jumped to Garnet. Pearl walked by and Garnet pulled her into the goop hug. Amethyst gave Steven a look as if she plans on giving him a goop hug.
(Steven) Don't even think about it.
Later
Steven was reading the book that Connie reccomend him. Then a rumbled occured. Steven had an idea of what it was and he bookmarked the page he was reading.
(Garnet) Something entered the atmosphere.
Everyone went outside. The saw a star.
(Pearl) Its It's another one of those things!
It landed
(Garnet) It landed on Mask Island.
Everyone went to the Warp Pad to stop it.
On the Island.
They warped. They saw the machine moving around and checking the environment.
(Pearl) Is it looking for a Warp?
(Garnet) We have to stop it!
Everyone but Steven charged at the mech and destoryed it.
(Steven) Thats the second time this week. What is it trying to do?
He wiped the goo off him.
(Pearl) We're not really sure.
(Garnet) It's not trying to do anything now.
Later
Steven was reading the book again. Finally, some peace and quiet.
(Rumble)
(Steven) (Sighs in frustration)
He bookmarks the page before closing it. The gems bursted into the room again.
(Steven) What now?
The gems were annoyed as well.
(Amethyst) Grr, what is with these things?! This is like the fifth one this week.
Garnet used her future vision to detect the location.
(Garnet) We'll find it in the desert.
Everyone went to the Warp.
At the desert
They found it quickly and tried destroying it. Amethyst had her whip wrapped around it, Garnet was pushing it back, and Pearl was jabbing her spear into it multiple times.
(Pearl) (deliberately) Stop. Coming. Here. You. Stupid. Balls!
(Amethyst) Yeah, let it out. Get crazy.
The machine tugged which made Amethyst nearly lose her grip.
(Steven) Stop!
They stopped.
(Steven) How many more of these things are we going to fight?
(Pearl) We don't know! They just keep coming and coming and we don't know anything!
(Steven) It probably does.
(Pearl) What do you mean?
(Steven) Let it go and we'll follow it.
(Amethyst) Are you nuts?!
(Pearl) Thats too risky!
(Garnet) We can't fight these things forever. Well, we can, but I don't want to. Lets listen to Steven. If we see anything we don't like then we'll smash it.
Amethyst lets it go and everyone hopped on top of it.
(Amethyst) We're dead.
(Steven) Not yet. Maybe not at all.
The machine stood on its legs and marched foward. It went to the Warp Pad and warped.
Somewhere
They Warped to the Kindergarten. The gems had scared looks on their faces.
(Garnet) Kindergarten...
(Pearl) Oh, why here? This site had been damaged enough by the gems that were incubated here 6,000 years ago. (Breathes shakey) That's it! It's been confirmed! This thing is up to no good.
She attempted to draw her weapon but Steven stopped her.
(Steven) Wait. We don't know anything yet. Let it continue.
(Pearl) Fine.
She left her weapon inside her gem.
The machine hopped off the Warp Pad and moved to a direction.
(Pearl) What does it want here?
(Steven) We're not sure yet but I think we're about to find out.
(Pearl) I don't like this at all...
(Amethyst) I'm kinda with Pearl on this one.
(Steven) None of us do but we're doing this to know what it wants. We should know so we need what to protect.
(Pearl) I can't believe we're doing this.
It stopped.
(Garnet) Something's happening.
Everyone jumped off of it. Its legs dissapeared and a green spark emits underneath it for a second. Then a green floor emits and it turns into am upside down pyramid.
It fits into the floor and glows neon green. It moves into the ground and opens an opening.
(Steven) It revealed something.
They all looked down the hole. None of the gems seems eager to jump down so Steven jumped first.
(Steven) Lets go.
They hesitated at first but jumped down anyway. They landed on a green platform that is lowering.
(Pearl) What is all this?
It lands and a room lit up in green. A podium appears. They heard a noise and they found a mini robonoid making its way to the podium with a hand on it. It pressed a button and a screen emitted.
Peridot was a gem to be seen on the screen. Everyone jumped out of sight.
[Screen] (Peridot) Establish Gem production link with control room. Plug robonoid had successfully landed on planet Earth and entered Prime Kindergarten control room in facet 5. We'll proceed to perform status-check of Kindergarten.
The screen moved away.
(Amethyst) It's Peridot...
(Pearl) (gasp) Is she trying to re-activate the Kindergarten? Doesn't she know it'll destory all life on Earth?
(Steven) Not if we have anything to say about it.
(Garnet) Okay, here's the plan: we can't let her see us, so we wait for an opening. When she's distracted, we destroy the power source on the far wall.
(Steven) That'll take too long.
Steven got out of hiding and out in the open.
(Gems) Steven!
Steven sneaked around and stayed out of Peridot's sight.
[Screen] (Peridot) Now counting all operational injectors checking for aberrations in perimeter.
She controlled the mechanisms.
[Screen] (Peridot) This gem tech is archaic.
Steven was looking for the power source. He found it but Peridot was facing that direction. He needed something to smash it with.
It was obvious that it needed to be sturdy and strong, like a big rock. He tried looking for any debris that could've been lying around for him to pick up. No such luck.
Those hands that Peridot is control should do the trick. But how is he going to use them when she can quickly move them. He just has to be quicker.
The right fist was close to the power source. Perfect! Now, Steven has to give it a hard shove and it'll destroy it. Steven now was trying to think of ways to push it without Peridot seeing him.
He figured it out but it was risky. He can run up to it, jump at it, and push it with his feet at full force and it'll definitely destroy the power source. The only flaw was that Peridot could hear him running.
He tested to see if she could hear but knocking on the floor. She didn't respond to that so she must not be able to hear him from over there. Steven backed up and got off to a running start.
He got close enough and did exactly what he thought of doing. Peridot only got a glimpse at Steven before the screen completely shut off.
(Amethyst) Is it over?
(Pearl) What were you thinking? She could've seen you!
(Steven) But she didn't. Besides, what does it matter whether she saw me or not? Its not like she would assume I was with you.
(Garnet) That is true. It wouldn't matter if she saw him. You did a nice job but be sure to let us know next time. Lets go home. Theres nothing here for us.
