Her POV
"Ayanna?" He says as he strokes my hair in the morning
"Hmmmm?"
"I'm gonna be a heck lot more busy from now on, with the promotions and the award shows and the tour- I- I won't get to see you as often~"
I look at him and smile "I know Namjoon... Don't worry about it. I'll be here. Plus I'll start getting busy too. We will call each other every night without fail though, okay?" I say as I extend my right pinkie. He intertwines his and takes my hand, running his fingers over my scar, sighing again.
"And what did I tell you about the sighing!??"
He leans in but I stop him, causing him to pout
"Morning breath" I say, and clarity dawns on him as he nods and gets up for the day.
....
The second he finishes brushing, he sneaks up on me dressing up, stealing a kiss, and giving me a smirk, as though he was proving a point
"Real petty eh?"
"Only when it comes to you~"
I roll my eyes at that response as I pull on my shirt and start wearing my coat.
....
Today was my first proper working day in a long time. We were going to work on the sets for the comeback shows and design for the concerts these coming weeks and I couldn't be more excited. Namjoon and I part ways in the lobby and I make my way up to the creative development department.

"Ms. Ayanna..." My boss says as I look up from my laptop
"Yes?"
"I would like you to work on the inkigayo stage team. I expect a couple of full sketches for the complete stage by the end of the day" he says with a smile
An entire stage?
YES
"Yes sir, I'm on it!" I say with a big grin as I start pulling up various files and references.
This is going to be fun... I think as I crack my knuckles and get to work.
Namjoon's POV
"Namjoon-ah! You've improved so much!!" Hobi says as he pats my back, as I kneel on the ground, catching my breath.
The comebacks were next week and this was when dance coach Hobi came out in full over working glory.
We all groan as he calls for another rehearsal before lunch.
Her POV
"Ayanna, these are great! Develop the first and the second one, I want full renders by the end of the day. Ask the team to assist you with anything you need. You're in charge of the inkigayo stage now"
Wait what
I stare at the empty space where my boss stood a couple of seconds back.
WHat
An entire stage?
WHAt
WHAT
I grin like an idiot as I start the rendering for the two final designs. I make a checklist of all the things that need to be done and start divvying the work between all my colleagues on this project.
I had a week to get this right.
And you bet I'm gonna ace this
Namjoon's POV
I reach for my phone after picking up a plate of food and text Ayanna
(Yes, Ayanna has a meme as her profile)
The last time she overworked she collapsed.
*Sigh*
I can only hope she takes better care of herself. But then again, the call every night will make me feel better.
......
We didn't meet up for the entire week leading up to the comeback shows.
If I asked her what she was up to, she wouldn't give me concrete answers.
She was hiding something again.
But I could see her trying to hide her grin everytime I called her so, whatever it was... It was making her happy.
Wait.
What could make her happy??
I sit and rack my brain as the noonas work on my hair and face. Tomorrow was the Inkigayo show.
What would make her laugh like that.

If anything, it's something work related

"Hyung!" Jungkook comes and waves his hand in front of my face "You look like you're in the fifth dimension. I can literally see you think. What are you thinking about?" He says as he sits down in the chair next to me
"Ahh it's nothing. Its about... the performance"
I see Jin cock an eyebrow at that, in my peripheral vision
"Ahh hyung don't worry about it! We'll do our best! And that's all that matters!" he says with a smile that makes me forget about everything.
I reach out to ruffle his hair but he blocks my hand saying "ahh no Hobi hyung messed with it once and I got yelled at by my noona so please no"
I laugh and pats his shoulder instead
....
"Worried about the performance huh?"
Jin says as we're wearing our in ear monitors for the rehearsal
"Ahaha yeah...."
He looks at me skeptically before leaning in
"You can always talk to us you know......"
"Yes. Yes I do"
"Okie dokie. Let's kill this show!" He says with a pat on my back
I'm so grateful I met these guys....
...
The next morning we entered the studio for Inkigayo. We were passing by the stage for our performance and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Something about it made me want to just stand there and stare at it for hours. Taehyung and Jungkook stay behind and stand next to me , and we were all in awe of the places and settings we get to perform at
"This is beautiful!" Taehyung says as he takes a closer step
"I think beautiful would be an understatement" Jungkook says as he whips out his phone and takes a dozen pictures.
I take a step towards it when I feel someone tapping my shoulder. I look around and it's Ayanna
"Jagiya! What are you doing here??? Oh I missed you so!" I say as I pull her into a hug.
"I missed you too Joonie~" she says as she breaks the hug, waving hello to Taehyung and Jungkook, before looking at the stage.
"It's pretty good innit?" She says with a wide smile, her hands on her hips.
"Pretty good? It's amazing!" Taehyung exclaims, stealing the words from me.
"The creative development team and the stage builders never fail to amaze me" I add, and I see her grinning at me
"What..... Am I missing something here?"
"How about you use that little noggin of yours" she says as she taps my head
"Oh! Ayanna! You de-" Jungkook started before being shushed by her as she looked at me expectantly
Judging by the way Taehyung and Jimin were looking at her and the stage and back again, trying really hard to not fangirl, all the pieces fell into place.
"Ayanna- did you- did you design this entire stage?" I say, my eyes widening at the realisation. The colours, the composition of the stage... All that from her?
She nods, the grin never leaving her face
"Oh so this is why we haven't seen you in a while!" Taehyung says
"Was it worth it?" She asks
"Totally!" He says as he looks back at it
"You never fail to amaze me" I say as I kiss her forehead
We hear our managers calling us in the distance
"Ahh I think we have to go now"
"You think?" She laughs "Go! Go get ready for everything!" She says as she starts pushing me slowly towards the dressing rooms
"You need to show me how you did THIS!" I say
She laughs as she says "Definitely! Now go!"
....
We're in her apartment,where I have finally convinced her to open a bottle of champagne.
"Your first complete project from start to finish! Don't tell me we can't celebrate that!"
She sighs as she holds out her champagne flute towards me.
She pulls up her sketches and renders and it blows my mind that it all started with these sketches. We talk for hours about it, her eyes twinkling as she talks about her passion. I can't help but smile the entire time, as we sit on her couch, sketches strewn on the coffee table, er laptop on her lap as we look at the pictures, she beaming with pride.
"Sometimes, I surprise myself!" She says with a grin such innocence that I can't help but fall on love with her again.
"Yah! If you go around surprising yourself, what about us normal folk! You can't do this to us!"
She scoffs "You're hardly 'normal folk', Namjoon" she laughs as she stands and takes my empty glass and starts washing up.
.....
She comes to the dance studio the next evening after work, only to be mobbed by the guys
"YOU DESIGNED THAT?" Jin exclaims
"Really? Really?!" Hobi says with wide eyes
"Can you sign my t-shirt?" Jimin comes with a marker, holding up his tee
"Yes, yes and no, Jiminie don't be ridiculous, it's not that big of a deal" she waves him off with a laugh.
Yoongi sits on the couch with a knowing smile on his face.
They gather around her phone as she shows some.of the process pictures, Jungkook's eyes becoming bigger and bigger as time passes.
...
Her POV
I sit there on awe as I see them practice their choreo, my feet moving of their own volition.
"Ayanna! Do you want to learn a couple of steps?" Hobi asks, as he spots my feet tapping
"No- nope. You guys are busy plus I would like to NOT embarrass myself."
"Oh come on! It'll be fun!" Taehyung says as he comes over and pulls me off the couch.
And that's how Jungkook's now has a video of me tripping over my feet in the beginning and dancing decently in the end with all of them, high fives being exchanged all around.
