"He said it looked something like this" said Kie showing us Pope's drawing "Thats 50 feet down and theyre using a 100 feet rope. So i guess this little wagon will go.... straight to the gold room"
Sarah and I started laughing at the awfuly drawn diagram "Who drew this?" asked Sarah
"Who do you think?" said Kie looking over where John B and Pope were, I notice Kie staring at Pope a little longer than necessary and i bumped my knee with hers, she looked at me and i raised my eyebrows at her
"What?" she asked me
"You-" i started saying but was cut off by JJ
"Kie, this better work. We cant pawn this of theres a giant what symbol on it" said JJ putting the gold in the vans floor
Kie grabbed her blowtorch and said "Its gonna work"

When we had melted the gold we immediately went over to the pawn shop
"Hell of a job melting it down, Dr. Frankestein" said JJ
"Like you could've done any better" argued Kie
"I could've done much better. I took a welding class" said JJ making chuckle knowing well he didnt take any classes
"When?" asked Kie
"Whoa, Whoa. Hey, sh!" said John B shutting them up "Chill out. Okay?"
"Easy for you to say that, youre not the one that has to pawn this piece of shit off" said JJ "How did I get this job anyways?"
"'Cause youre the best liar" said Pope
"Are you sure i can do this?" asked JJ "Yes, we're sure JJ, you can do everything" i said and kissed him, he pulled me closer to him and deepened the kiss but i pulled away and said "You can do it"
He looked me in the eyes and said "yeah, I can do it" he pecked my lips quickly and walked into the shop "Afternoon ma'am"
"Afternoon" said the lady eyeing JJ suspiciously
"I see you buy gold" said JJ "Thats what the sign say, dont it?" answered the lady
"Well, I sure hope you buy a lot of it, because im about to blow your mind" continued JJ
"I aint got much mind left to blow, so have it" she said "How about them gold apples" said JJ showing her the gold
"That aint real" she said chuckling making me roll my eyes "That aint real?" questioned JJ in disbelief
"It cant be" said the lady "Feel how heavy it is" told her JJ
She struggled picking it up and JJ hummed "Lets get some light on that" he said
"Spray-painted tungsten?" said the lady
"Spray-painted tungsten? Really? Okay" said JJ "Why dont you see how, uh, soft it is?"
"You mind?" she asked him "No, go for it" said JJ
"Wow. Would you look at that?" he asked her mockingly, a light laugh slipped my lips at his sarcasms, he looked at me and winked while everyone else gave me warning looks
"Hold you horses" said the lady "We aint got to the acid test yet"
"Ooh! The acid test" JJ commented "My favorite, guys"
"Well, it aint plated, and it aint painted" she muttered when she was done with the test
"Ma'am, im telling ya, this is as real as the day is long"
"It looks like somebody tried to melt it down" she said with an accusive tone making me wince
"My mom" i heard JJ say "She had all this jewelry laying aorund the house, and she thought it was best to-- to melt it down. To 'Consolidate' it" lied JJ as I hid my smile
"Seven pounds? Thats a lot of earring"
"Okay, to be honest ma'am...its really hard to see my mom fall apart with alzheimer's" said JJ
"Mm-hm, alzheimer's? Give me a minute" said the lady "Take your time ma'am" said JJ acting hurt
She went to the back of the store and came back quickly
"So, I, uh... I talked to my boss" she said
"And?" asked JJ
"And, uh, this is what I can do" said the lady and handed JJ a paper, he looked at her with a seriously look
"Fifty thousand?" chuckled JJ "You think I walked in here not knowin' the spot price?" argued JJ "Ma'am, I know for a fact that this is worth 140, at least"
"Well, sweetie, you in a pawnshop. This aint Zurich. Do I look swiss to you?" asked the lady
"Ninety, or i walk" said JJ
"Seventy. Half price... and, um... I dont ask questions about where you got this" she said
JJ looked at us and we nodded slightly "Im gonna need that in large denominations, please" he said and we all smiled
"Well, here's the snag. I dont have that much denominated, not here anyway, I can write you a cashier's check" said the lady
"Cash... No, ma'am. I want the cold hard. Thats what the sign says. Cash for gold. And thats what I expect. Im gonna get it in cold hard" stated JJ pointing at the sign and then looking back at the lady
"Well, I have to send you to the warehouse. I have the money there. Is that all right?" she asked
"Where's this warehouse?" asked JJ

Soon we were on the way to get our money, I was sitting next to JJ and i had my head on his shoulder as he had the gold in his hands
"So they keep money out here?" asked Pope
"Thats what she said" said JJ and then chuckled as he realized what he had said "Thats what she said" and i chuckled with him
"Stop" said Pope
"Ive never even heard of Resurrection Drive" said sarah
"'cause youre rich" said JJ "Youve never heard of it either" i told him "Thank you" said Sarah as I backed her up
"Theres nothing but weed back here" said Kie
"All right, just 'cause its weeds, doesnt mean its, like..." JJ started saying but trailed off when we heard sirens from behind us
"Cops? Out here?" questioned Kie
"God! Are you kidding me?" exclaimed JJ and i sat up straight as I felt JJ start lo panic
"What did we do?" i asked
"Why are we getting pulled over?" asked pope
"Stash that" said John B to JJ who had the gold
"Chill guys" said Kie trying to calm us "I hate cops" i muttered
"Did you bring the gun?" asked my brother frantically
"He didnt, I made sure he left it at the Chateau" i said
"Thank God" said Kie "Please, just everything else in your bag"
We all started panicking as JJ didnt hurry to pack up his stuff, we all started asking him how much stuff he had on him but then we heard a gun loading making us all freeze
My heart began to race as I saw the gun pointed at my brothers head and I started shaking a little
"Why dont i just go ahead and see them hands in the air" the person said to him, JJ saw me shaking and interwined our fingers trying to calm me down
"its going to be okay princess" whispered JJ in my ear
"All yall's hands up in the air right now!" the person yelled making me let go of JJ's hand
"You, out of the car! Lets go!" he said to John B "Out of the car! Lets go! Hurry!" he continued screaming
I looked at JJ freaking out "Let them out!" the guy said and JB did nothing
"What are you waitin' on? What are you waitin' on? Let them out!" yelled the man
My brother opened the door and the guy told us to get out impatiently, JJ tried to tell him we had nothing on "We're broke-"
"Shut the hell up!" yelled the man, now he was pointing the gun at JJ "All right! Just relax!" JJ exclaimed
"Blow your damn head off!" i flinched at his words but got mad that he was threating JJ and my protective side came out
"Dont point your fucking gun at him" i yelled angrily
"Shut the hell up bitch!"the man screamed and now pointed his gun to me, I instantly froze regreting my decision
" Lay down in the ditch! Lay down in the ditch!" he ordered shoving gun in my head making me lay down
"Ava!" exclaimed John B out in worry
"Get the fucking gun out of her head, or i swear to God" JJ threatened him
"what exactly are you gonna do big boy?" he asked JJ with a chuckle escaping his lips
JJ didnt say anything but instead he looked at me and we made eye contact, he gave me a reassuring look that made me smile a little as the guy continued screaming at us indicanting what to do
"Dont let me see you look up! All right?" he yelled, JJ broke our eye contact and i saw him get angrier every second "Thats all ya'll gotta do"
"Its a set up, guys" said Kie as we saw the guy looking through the van
"That old bar shanked us. Fuck! Goddamn it!" said JJ punching the ground in anger, I grabbed his hand and caressed it making him relax a little, then he gave me a reassuring squeeze
"Wait. No, no, no, no. John B.... No..." i heard sarah whimper, I looked over at them and saw my brother slowly getting up
"John B. Dont be a hero, man" whispered pope, JB looked at me and i shook my head at him "John B, please stop!" i said also whispering
However he didnt listen to us and made his way to the guy's car, the guy didnt notice because he was still going through our stuff
"All right, ya'll stay like that. Unless you want your brains blown out all over this road, dont move your goddamn heads, okay?" he shouts and walked to his car without realizing John B was missing
We all looked up in panic as we heard grunts coming from the car
"Guys! I got the gun!" we heard John B exclaim, we all got up and JJ ran to my brother
We all started beating up the guy and John B hit him in the back of the head with the back of the gun
"I got the gold!" we heard Pope shout from the other side of the car
Sarah grabbed the door of the car and started hitting the guy a few times as a proud smile appeared in my face as I saw her actions
Then Kie and Pope kicked him "You son of a bitch!" exclaimed Sarah as he stayed in the floor panting
JB took of his mask "I know this piece of shit! He's a basehead" said JJ angrily
"Probably knows my brother" said Sarah in an annoyed tone
"He sells coke to my dad" continued JJ and i grabbed his hand at the mention of his dad
"Listen, I couldnt hurt any single one of ya'll-" the guy started saying making me scoff at his words but JJ hit him

"Come on, lets get outta here" said Pope, JJ reached down to the guys pocket to take out his wallet
"We got one last stop" said JJ angrily and walked to the van "Lets go see where this son of a bitch lives"
"Im gonna remember this shit!" exclaimed the guy "You cant hide from me! I know exactly who ya'll are! Huh? Youre gonna see me again! You hear me? You hear me?" he shouted at us
I was sick of his voice so i walked over to him and punched him in the face, making him fall again and grunt "Thats for messing with us" i said
I looked at John B and he threw the keys away, we catched up with the others and left
