The next morning we took the drone out to the dock and set it up. John B and Kie jumped to the water, while Pope, JJ and i watched from the live camera footage.
John B looked at the camera and pretended to brush his teeth with his fingers, I chuckled at him being and idiot
"Whats this?" asked JJ on his way to touch something on the computer
"Dont touch that!" said pope slapping JJ's hand away "Im trying to work out this thing"
"God bless geeks, pope. Truly, man" i said
"What would we do without you to control the drones" said JJ
"Technically its not a drone, its an ROV" started to say pope but JJ was quick to cut him off
"Shut up, shut up, its too early for that right now"
"Shouldnt of asked" i told JJ chuckling "I know" he said
"Hey, once we get footage of the wreck, we'll bring it to a lawyer in town and file a formal claim" said John B
"Thats bullshit, why do we have to do that?" asked JJ
"Well, there is a maritime salvage law. You cant just go to the ocean floor and scoop a bunch of stuff up" said pope
"I know, I know, its just that lawyers arent cheap bro" said JJ
"As soon as they see the footage, they'll work for a comp" i told them
"How do you know all of that?" asked Kie to JB and me
"'cause our dad said like, a million times" i answered her question "Yeah, thats fair" she said climbing up the dock
"This tether is, like, really long. In the wrong weather, it could get pushed around" said pope
"Then we'll go at dead calm" said John B as we all heard thunder in the distance "At slack tide?" asked Kie
"So, now we just gotta wait around for the right weather" said pope "And today is not that day"
Since we couldnt do it today, JJ and i decided to help out pope to make some food deliveries
"You guys get this deliveries over to Figure Eight" Heyward said making JJ and i look at eachother annoyed that we had to go over to kooklandia
"Ava, make sure that you get straight back here when youre done, no fishin'. I promised delivery by this afternoon, rich foolks dont wanna wait for you lazy sons of..." Heyward said, JJ extender his arms for him to give him more bags
"Oh, JJ, thank you" Heyward said giving JJ some bags, then continued saying "sons of bitches" i laughed a little at his comment and we left
"Doesnt even look like the storm hit there" said pope
"Thats because they got generatiors, pope, get used to it" i told him annoyed
"And then they say the juice will be out all summer at the cut" said JJ
