"What are these?" I asked my girlfriend
"it's just a few gifts, go pick them" she giggled
I made my way over to the floating balloons that had small boxes tied around the strings. My hands gripped the thread and tugged it down, unraveling the box
"This is adorable" I laughed as my eyes came into contact with a demon shaped pendant
"Open the next one" she smiled, I nodded and grabbed ahold of the next balloon
"Where did you even get this" I laughed at the sword pendant
"It's just goofy stuff, I know you like your chains" she smiled, I chuckled and kissed her forehead
"Chase is waiting outside, let's go" she said, I nodded and we made our way through the balloon and confetti filled lobby. My eyes landed on the man braced against the black Cadillac
"Happy birthday Miss Amon" Chase greeted me with a wide smile
"Thank you" I replied, the man pulled a small box from behind his back. I furrowed my brows
"It's a gift, take it" he chuckled, I quickly unraveled the box to see
"Melanie Martinez Merch! AHHHHHH" I screamed and attacked the driver
He laughed as I hugged him tightly, squealing into his shirt. This is freaking amazing!

It's my birthday Sarah, shut the hell up. I pulled away from Chase and we both held the biggest grin money could buy
"I'm glad you like it"
"I love it" I pouted and held the bright pink sweater in my hands, pulling it to my chest
"I would drag this on right now" I laughed
"Why don't yo-"
"Yes, yes I will" I said, I dragged the sweater over my Billie Eilish hoodie. It fitted perfectly and even gave my clothing an interesting style
"Come on, let's go" Aelia giggled and hopped into the car
The car drive went on for a few minutes, Chase and I talked about some stuff while Aelia had a wicked smile on her face the entire drive. I wondered what the hell she had up her sleeve
"Where are we?" I asked as Chase opened the door
"A restaurant" she smiled
"What the? Look at how I'm dressed! I can't go into a restaurant looking like this?!"
"It's okay, I called in already. I know you'd wanna wear something you're comfortable with all day" she laughed and intertwined our fingers
"You're amazing" I smiled and kissed the side of her head
"Yeah, I know" she said in a sassy tone and threw her imaginary hair over her shoulder. I laughed and we made our way into the building
Upon entering, I was greeted by the heavenly smell of Italian food. Aelia spoke to the employee and got us our seats. The unique textured walls produced a smooth yet flowing look, the viny plants ran along the wall to give it a more natural appearance. The marbled tile floor beneath me gave the restaurant a more warm and clean look.
The host had gentle eyes as he led us towards our table. My brows furrowed when I noticed there were three chairs. I turned to face Aelia
"Don't worry about it sweetheart" she smiled
"What's going on here? DID YOU GET ME MELANIE MARTINEZ??"
"No, I wish I did" she laughed, I groaned and sat down in the hand crafted chair.
Suddenly I noticed the atmosphere around me, everyone seemed so happy and comfortable. The soft sounds of the piano filled the room. The waiter held a soft pale crystal like glass of white wine.
"I actually have a surprise for you today" Aelia smiled, I glanced at the girl on the opposite end on the round table
"You're just spoiling me today aren't you?" I snickered
"I just want you to have the best day you could possibly have" she smiled sweetly, her hands reached out to mine. I met hers half way and intertwined them
"So when does this surprise com-"
"Daddy long neck is here amongst the QUEER BITCHESSS" a voice rang through my ears, I snapped my neck around to see my father standing there with a wide grin
"Daddd"
"Honey bunnn" he squealed and engulfed me into a tight hug
"Happy birthday sweetie"
"You're here! What are you doing here?"
"My daughter in law Aelia happened to arrange everything" he smirked and winked at my girlfriend, I turned to face her
"You're truly amazing" I smiled
"And I'm starving, let's eat" Lucifer said as he took the vacant seat.
The waiter came back over ready to take our orders. Lucifer placed his order for duck confit, Aelia had the chicken while I had Choucroute garnie.
"I missed you so much" I groaned
"I'm here honey, Not for long, but I'm here" he assured
"How was your trip up here?" I asked
"Girl don't even get me started, I told this ass to take route 89 and he took 98, how does that even make sense! So it took three hours for us to even get back on the road. He starts smoking out of nowhere, we talk for two minutes and he suddenly thinks we're friends. Then he calls his girlfriend and puts her on speaker, they get into a fight, then he calls his ex! And tells her he'll be coming over after he drops me off. Then out of nowhere, the tire goes flat. So there I was, in the car, waiting for this man to replace the tire when I simply could have just flew here" Lucifer rolled his eyes.
"Sounds hectic" Aelia laughed as she sipped on her wine
"I'm tired of human beings, no offence Aelia-"
"Non taken" she laughed
"Some of them just lack so much common sense, it's really shocking to see" Lucifer groaned
"Don't belittle the humans like that, they're all different" I assured
"Oh we know they're all different, believe me"
"How's hell been?"
"Enough talk about me, how's your date going?" he asked
"We've been having the time of our lives" I chuckled
"Awwww, do tell" he cooed and placed his chin in the palm of his hands
"The other day, we went duck feeding at this lake, my God it's beautiful-"
"God?"
"Sorry, my Lucifer it's beautiful" I corrected, he smiled and nodded for me to continue
"They were so cute, I can't evennnn" I groaned
"Luna noticed one of the ducklings was stuck around a boulder and he got separated from his mom, she didn't think twice before she jumped into the lake" Aelia giggled
"What was I supposed to do? Stand by and let him lose his family?" I pouted
"Anyways, she got completely soaked but she picked the duckling up into her hands and ran down the lake to place him back with his family. She had the cutest smile on her lips when they welcomed him back" Aelia said
"Then the bitch attacked me" I rolled my eyes. Lucifer erupted in laughter
"Sh-She bit you didn't she?" he laughed
"Yes, here I was trying to return your child that you forgot about and the first thing you do is clamp your wet beak on my legs" I groaned
"Parents are like that, we may not see the real problem but we're always gonna protect our babies when it comes down to it" Lucifer smiled
A few hours went by, my father and I talked the whole time. I'm sure we annoyed every single person in that restaurant but I didn't care. Any time I spend with my father is worth treasuring. I loved him more than life itself.
We made our way into the car after the restaurant, it was already 9pm. We really did talk for a long time, but I wouldn't spend my day any different.
There's just a bond between my father and I that no one could break. As much as I loved everyone around me, my father always came first. I'll never forget the person that made me who I am today. The person that bent over backwards to make sure I breathed air everyday. I love him with all my heart, Aelia knew this, I guess that's why she knew I couldn't spend my birthday without him.

"So this is the Chase I've been hearing about?" Lucifer questioned
"Good evening sir" Chase glanced at the man in the mirror
"I'm Luna's father, I've heard alot of good stuff. Thank you for putting up with my knuckle head daughter" Lucifer laughed
"Not a problem sir, the girl's have been pretty helpful to me too" Chase smiled
Chase drove a few minutes, the car ride consisted of silly stories and long banters. It was simply perfect.
The city was filled with darkness of the night, we crossed the Seine in silence. Without the traffic we walked right down the centre of the street and not far away lay The Eiffel Tower, like a skeleton of metal projecting up into a sky.
My eyes came into view with the triangular iron shaped structure. It's gorgeous lights reflected unto my eyes.
Standing at the base looking up I can truly say I never appreciated its size. The legs are as far apart as your average town plaza and the metal is dull. I reached out to touch it, cold of course. The clang of our feet on the concrete floor echoed.
A smile crept onto my lips when
I stepped foot into the elevator. As each level passed, the faster my heart race sped up. Aelia's fingers intertwined with mine. The city came into view.
"This is beautiful" I whispered as I stepped foot out the elevator and onto the platform
"It really is" Lucifer muttered.
I turned to face the man with a smile on my face. She did the same and wrapped a hand around my shoulder. I felt Aelia's fingers slip from mine as she walked away, giving us some privacy
"I love you Luna" he said
"I love you too dad" I mumbled and leaned my head against his chest, the comforting hug of my father invaded my senses
"I'm so proud of you Luna, I don't think I've said that enough. I always knew you were special from the day you were born. I took you in my arms and saw something in you that just amazed me. You had a glow, you were different from the other demons and I couldn't be happier to call you my little girl" he chuckled, ugh God don't let me cry.
"I had the opportunity to see you grow up for thousands of years, you've shaped into the best possible version of yourself. You're not a little girl anymore, you're a woman." he said, I sighed and pulled away from his embrace with raised eyebrows
"You've been here for a few months and it's hard to recognize you Luna. At first it was... Weird" he chuckled
"But then I started to understand the new you and I couldn't be happier. You're so much more mature than you ever were, earth really has changed you" he said
"Dad... What are you trying to say?" I asked.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in before turning towards me
"If you want to remain on earth, that's fine by me"
