Namjoon's POV
"Oh oh oh! This means that the both of you can do normal couple things together! Albeit in the presence of security-" Taehyung says with such enthusiasm that it makes me laugh
We're on the floor of the dance studio after a round of going over the choreography.
"Ahh hyung I'm so happy for you!" Jimin says
"What about Ayanna? What did she say? Considering how it will affect her life-" says Jungkook softly, voicing something that was bothering everyone.
"And what about you.... We know how fans react when we announce relationships-" he says, looking at me.
"Ahhh-" I say, running my fingers through my hair, "I- we- we don't really know- but then again what is life without its uncertainties-" I say with a laugh
"Namjoon-ah... We're here for you okay?" Jin says, Yoongi silently nodding next to me, Hobi patting me on the back.
"Thank- thank you guys..." I say with a smile
"Okay okay let's go! That's enough rest for now!" Says Hobi as he gets up and claps, urging us to start again
I sigh before standing
How does he have so much energy?!
Sigh
I'm so glad to have them
I think as we start all over again
Her POV
I sat there, wondering how all this would affect us.
I mean most of it would be the same. I really don't see a lot of changes.
And not paying attention to what random people spoke of me
Well
I'm kind of the expert on that by now.
So I guess we'll be fine~ I sigh as I take a sip of my now cold coffee, which makes me want to spit it out.
Sheesh.
I decide to go back to the dining room and grab another cup.
On my way back I hear a voice call out
"Oh! Ms Ayanna? Is that you?"
I turn around and it's Bang PD-nim with his assistant. I frantically brush the hair off my face and walk towards him as he beckons me.
"I'm so sorry about your hand" he says as he gestures to it,
"Ahh no no... it'll be fine in a couple weeks, not that big of a deal-" I say.
He starts walking and I follow
"I'm guessing Namjoon told you about everything?"
"Yes..."
"Would you mind coming and chatting about it? In my office? Now? If you have nothing to do that is-"
I wish I could decline. So bad. I am not mentally prepared for this-
But then again I have no choice
Ugh..
"No I wouldn't mind at all." I say as I fall into step next to him.
.....
He tells me about the announcement
"We'll have security personnel with you at all times since you know how people react to the news." He says in a matter of fact apologetic way.
He goes on to talk about the limitations of it all. And how I will still be an employee here, but both of us need to be professional during working hours.
All the obvious rules and regulations. Nothing out of the ordinary.
"Oh and Ms Ayanna..." He starts with uncertainty "I hope you will be there for him. He's been through a lot and heard almost everything from everyone. The industry is brutal. I don't want it to hurt him more. He's really strong, but- you know?" he says with a solemn face
"Don't worry about that PD-nim. I won't be leaving his side anytime soon " I say with a small smile
He smiles back before standing up "Well, I guess that's all! Thank you for your work and thank you for understanding..." He says as he stretches out a hand. I shake it, grab my coffee and head out.
I take a sip outside the studio door again, only to find out it had turned cold again.
Aish...
I look at my watch and see that it's 1:00 in the afternoon.
Too late to get another cup I guess... Might as well have lunch.
I pile some food on a plate and seat myself on one of the tables. Headphones on, I just eat without looking up, my thoughts keeping me company.
Namjoon's POV
I enter the dining room with the guys to find her hunched over a plate of food,headphones on, her hair in a messy braid, done by one of the stylist noonas, her sweatshirt sleeves rolled up so as to not get food everywhere.
It reminded me of the time I saw her in the library.
I plop myself in a chair in front of her and stare.
She looks up and smiles, her face lighting up with amusement, doing a little head tilt.
She removes her headphones and continues to stare at me with a smirk.
"Namjoon! You need food!" Jin says as he places a plate in front of me, smacking the back of my head after, sitting down next to me
"Ahh! hyung!.... Thank you!" I say with a grin.
Everyone comes and seats themselves around us, Taehyung and Jimin on either side of Ayanna, Yoongi at the head of the table, Jungkook and Hobi across from each other as they discuss the choreography.
"I'm so excited for this comeback! I can't wait for the new music and the choreo and the-" she starts, an enthusiastic glimmer in her eyes
"Woah woah there fangirl Ayanna! Calm down" Jimin says chuckling
"You mean hyung hasn't made you listen to anything yet?" Jungkook says between bites
"I refused to listen. I want it to be a surprise like everyone else! And I can't wait!" She says, literally bouncing on her seat
We all laugh at her excitement.
"I sometimes forget how serious you can be when you're like this" Hobi says while chuckling to which she responds with finger guns and a wink, which makes me laugh even more.
We finish up on lunch and head back our separate ways. She decides to head back to her apartment.
"Don't worry about me. I'll drop by sometimes when you all are working hard to cheer you on!" She says to the guys before they leave and we're in the corridor, alone
"Ahh I'm sorry I can't keep you company-"
"What did we decide on the incessant apologising?" She says, her arms crossed
I lean in and give her a kiss
"Yah! I didn't mean that!" She says once we pull away, a small smile on her face that she's trying to hide
I grin and walk her back to my studio, where she grabs her backpack and we close the door.
"Oh! I spoke to PD- nim" she says once we're outside
"Already?"
"Yup."
"How'd it go? What did he say?"
"It went well. All the regular things of how I'll be under watch all time after that and how I'd need security and all that jazz- wait what's with that sad look?! Hey!" She says as she snaps her fingers in front of my face
"I told you to not worry about this! We need to focus on the album and comeback now! Ok??" She adds in a small voice, bringing her hands to my face, before squishing my cheeks and going "You're so CUTE!"
I roll my eyes with a smile and take her hands,
"Your duality scares me sometimes" I say, recalling how she was most of the time calm and composed
"Psshh you're one to talk about duality. DON'T get me started on YOU and the GUYS. Do you know how many ARMYs you've killed at this point because of your" she whispers with a flutter of her lashes "sexiness"
Oh my god did she confuse me sometimes.
She removes her hands from mine, taking care of the bandage on her right, before stepping back and saying
"I'm gonna go now okay? You need to go, you're probably delaying the practice-" her voice returning to normal.
Ahh I had forgotten about that
"Okay... See you tomorrow?"
"Yuss! Definitely!" She says as she walks backwards towards the elevator
"Practice hard!!!" She says as she finally leaves, waving frantically as the elevator doors close.
I smile and make my way, sighing as I remember how many times I messed up in the choreography.
It was gonna be a long day.
Her POV
I open the door of my apartment with my left hand, practically cursing my right hand as I drop my bag on the floor.
I lie down on the couch, head hanging over the edge, playing music on my speakers.
I'm completely useless like this with one hand. I can't even tie my hair. I barely get a shirt over my head. Don't get me started on the pants.
Sigh
I start to feel light headed. So I sit up straight and hear my phone buzz. It's Kiara. I smile as I pick up the call
"Yooo! What's up Ayanna?"
"Oh nothing much, except for the fact that my right hand is out of order for two weeks-"
"What?! Wha- why??"
I recount the dramatic events of the week.
"Ohmygosh Anna you're supposed to tell us of all this-"
"And what would be the point of that-"
"Aish woman! I will smack you through the phone. We're friends. We're supposed to keep each other informed about the things in our lives! And an attack where you were pretty fricking badass is something we ALL need to know. I'm calling Eve and Vi too, you little shit I-"
I laugh at her reaction as she dials the other two to join. I am forced to recount the details again,much to their awe.
"Oh so that's why there was this picture of the two of you coming out of the hospital?. I couldn't see your hand under that long coat-" Eve says
"What picture?" I ask her as I get a message with the attached picture
"Oh my god Eve you saw the both of them leaving the hospital and you didn't tell us? Heck, you didn't ask her what happened-" Vi says, in a mildly irritated tone
"It slipped out of my mind. I was meaning to send it to y'all but you know how I get sometimes" she says with a laugh
"How long till it gets better?" Vi asks.
"Two weeks"
"Ahh shit. How are you gonna manage, considering he's gonna be busy with the comeback-"
"I think I'll manage just fine. I still have one hand. I won't be cooking and I've been excused for the time being from work so it's fine-"
"Anna what about your hair, folding your laundry-" Eve asks
"I'll figure it out don't worry about it" I say, cutting her off.
"Anything else you would like to share with us that you thought would be an insignificant development in your life?" Kiara asks,sarcasm lacing her tone
"Oh, BigHit is planning to announce that we're dating-"
"WHAT" all of them scream in shock, so loudly that I have to hold the phone away from my ear.
"Calm down sheesh what-"
"Were you even planning in telling us?!" Vi yells at me, which is unusual since she's usually the calm one
"You all would've gotten to know tomorrow anyway so what was the point-"
"Goddamit Ayanna, you're supposed to tell us all this!" Eve says
"I'm gonna come all the way to Korea and smack you if you don't tell us what you've been up to cause I swear to god you try us sometimes" Kiara declares
"What does it mean though? How will this work? I mean-" Vienna starts off cautiously
"I don't- don't know- but.... But we'll figure it out" I say with a nod
We'll figure it out.... right?
