The graphite from your pencil scrawled across the page of your notebook as you took notes from the textbook reading. You were attempting to get some homework done with your boyfriend Nishinoya. The keyword being, attempting.
"Hey, (Y/n)!" Nishinoya called from his spot sprawled out on your bedroom floor with all his books wide open. You hummed, beckoning a response. Nishinoya got to his feet and walked up behind you. He wore an exaggerated pout as he threw his arms around you.
"I'm bored," He whined. You chuckled and looked to his head that was tucked into the crook of your neck.
"Well, it's not supposed to be fun," You stated with a little laugh.
"I know, but we've been at it for so long," Nishinoya complained, "and I just wanna spend time with you instead!"
"But we are spending time together," You pointed out with a smirk.
"I know, but-" You cut Nishinoya off with your sharp wit,
"If you know, why are you complaining?" You asked, a teasing smirk still present. This only seemed to irritate your boyfriend.
"Stop being smart with me, you know what I mean!" Nishinoya nearly exclaimed. "Put away the books, gimme kiss." Nishinoya pursed his lips and leaned in, but you put your palm to his face and pushed him away.
"Maybe I'll give you a kiss if you finish your homework," You said, returning to the textbook pages in front of you. You heard Nishinoya groan and flop back onto the floor.
"But English is so hard," Nishinoya grumbled, burying his face in his hands.
"I can help you with it if you want," You suggested after closing your textbook. You were finished with most of the work you planned on getting done that night, but there were still a few pages that needed to be filled. However, you thought that Nishinoya took priority. You loved that little ball of energy with all your heart, even if he could be a little much sometimes. You would love to spend all day with him the way he meant it. However, you knew that if he failed to keep his grades up he couldn't graduate and it would eventually interfere with volleyball. That would be the last thing he would want, so you figured a little pain now to prevent a lot of pain in the future.
"Will you?" Nishinoya questioned, an excited smile on his face. You nodded your head and joined him on the floor with your notebook. You flipped it open to the proper page and started explaining the English lesson to your boyfriend. However, mid-way through your sentence you glanced at him and saw that he was staring at you. You cleared your throat and pointed to the page you were reading from.
"You should be looking at this and not me," You reminded him, a small blush on your cheeks.
"Gimme kiss!" Nishinoya said, leaning in toward you once again.
"Noya, no!" You cried, pushing him away.
"Come on, (Y/n)!" Nishinoya shouted, falling onto his back. "I miss you... You know I've been super busy with practice lately and I miss your kisses." You sighed, understanding his feelings. You knew both of you had been busy and had not gotten to spend any real quality time together in a while. You thought for a moment, nibbling on your bottom lip. You crawled over to where Nishinoya laid on his back with his hands over his face. You moved his hands and kissed his lips gently.
"There, you get one kiss," You said with a warm smile. "But if you want any more, you're going to have to earn them. And for the record, I agree that we need to spend more time together, but not now." You chuckled at his pouty expression. "If you hurry up and get this done, we can go get ice cream or something." As if diving after a stray ball, Nishinoya sprung to his books and got to work.
