I studied myself one last time inside the bathroom with a paper with a written checklist in hand to see if everything is complete and in place.
Hair? Freshly showered.
Check
Breathe? I raise my hand to my mouth and exhaled. It smelt good and I had extra mint in my pocket.
So check
Smell? I lift my arm and smelled my underarm on both sides. The body odor is good. Armpit? Applied deodorant and not wet?
Check, Check
Teeth? I looked in the mirror and my teeth were perfectly aligned and nothing stuck in between the creases.
Check
The foods? Perfectly set up
The flower pathway? I look outside and I saw the perfectly spread rose petal pathway that was illuminated by tiny candles on the ground (stream btw for my baby chipmunk!)
Yep still present
What am I still forgetting? I closed my eyes and tried to think hard because I know I tend to be forgetful sometimes and I may not have listed everything.
Shit! the flowers!
My breathing became quick and I ran outside the bathroom to check it but it soon died down when I saw the bouquet of roses on top of the table.
I have been a nervous wreck since this morning, after asking my baby chipmunk out. I planned for us to go on a date. Like how it ought to happen.
I thought that it would go as planned but just this morning the reception I had at this famous Italian restaurant got canceled.
Like who would cancel a reservation the day before someone asked for it?

You don't know how mad I was. I threw my phone at the wall because of too much pressure building up inside of me, it smashed into pieces.
I didn't even care that my phone broke, I can always buy a new one but this date is something I can never replace. Good thing I had asked my friends what to do.
I wanted this date to be perfect, like how perfect she is.
I called Lisa and my cousin asking what I have to do, a perfect solution and they gave me a suggestion to personally cook dinner for the two of us. Thank god I can cook but what if she doesn't like my cooking or if I fail because of being too much of a nervous wreck?
What do I even cook?
I know she loves peppers, that's one thing maybe I should make a pepper filled with chicken stuffing and put some sauce I can find from youtube from an account that at least is a Michelin level. Would that be even good?
I never knew that dating would be so hard.
My heart was pumping out of my chest with worries stuck to my chicken head.
I slapped myself and looked at the reflection in the mirror. Even an amateur can tell how nervous she is.
I slapped my face again
"Come on Jisoo, you can do this, you are Jisoo and you are amazing and as Lisa said, GROW A STRONGER PUSSY!" I nodded at myself for the motivational words I gave.
One more slap and the doorbell rang.

I haven't even cooked yet!
Fuck this, I'm just gonna show her my amazing side and show her how I will make the best food she will ever taste in her food life.
I glide my hands to the creases of my outfit to try to get the wrinkles out and to look good.
Good thing my parents went on a business trip or I won't have any place to prepare. Albeit I can go to Jennie's house, but I would not like to bother her.
And I know even though Lisa is nice and would love to help me, I think she'd rather spend the time devouring my cousin in their house.

One last breath and I went and got the roses for my Rosie and went towards the door that is separating me from my wifey.
I gave myself another pep talk.

I nodded and inhaled and exhaled deep and opened the door with the flowers in my back and was greeted by her
Chaeyoung in her glorious form.
The dress she was wearing was fit tailor-made for her body, her hair that flowed down her shoulders and her eyes that screamed nervously made my own nerves settle down.
I guess I wasn't the only one who was nervous
"h-hey, you look amazing" I stuttered like an idiot and handed her the flowers that matched the color of her dress.
"hmm you don't look too bad Ms. Kim" she replied with her sweet voice that got my knees shaking
I offered my hand for her and welcomed her to the nicely decorated house I work hard to perfect
As soon as she step inside the house, I heard a gasp coming from her and it wasn't the sexual one I tell you that.
I looked in her direction and she had her soft hands to her mouth covering it.
"y-you did all this?" she asked while looking at me shocked. Diverting her focus from the simple but elegant setup I did earlier.
I nodded my head and unknowingly rubbed my nape with my hand. One of the things I do when I am shy.
"Even though it is not as perfect as the reservation at the Italian restaurant I had planned, I still hope that it made your expectations," I said shyly.
"Baby, this is more than what I had in mind" I looked at her in shock.
"b-baby?" I asked at the sudden endearment
She looked at me and smiled
"If you are okay with that" I smiled so widely I think I broke my lips
"I would love that"

"Ummm" she moaned
"Did you really cook this all by yourself?" she asked as she munched at another piece of the cheese and pepper-stuffed grilled chicken I cooked.
"Is it good? It was my first time and you did see me cook earlier" she nodded not being able to talk more because of the food in her mouth
"It is amazing," she said after she swallowed her food and took another piece
My baby is an eater
Wonder what else she can eat

"So after the main dish we have here, some mango pie I ordered from your favorite store" I placed down the thing I ordered from a famous desert store down the street.
"Mango!? Really? But I remembered that you don't like mango" I nodded at that
"But you love it so I am willing to have it on the table, just please do not make me eat it" I looked at her and pleaded and tried to reason out why I am not eating that pie filled with the devil's fruit.
"I am full just by seeing you eat it," I said with a playful look of disgust on my face.
It wasn't really playful but let's not say her favorite fruit is disgusting in front of her face.
She laughed at my face
"Thank you Jisooyah, thank you for doing all this. This has been an amazing night" She held my hand that was placed on the table. She caressed it slowly with the thumb of her hand.
"Anything for you" I exhaled and stood up again but this time going beside her and offering my hand for her to take.
"Alexa, play my soundtrack," I shouted for my Bluetooth assistant to hear and placed my hand on her waist as hers went to my neck
"A dance for my lady," I said, and she giggled. She placed her head on my shoulder as the song began.
We were dancing to the music and I had the urge to tell her something. A thing I have been keeping since we met.
I lifted her chin up for her eyes to meet mine
"Rose, baby, I know we just started this relationship yesterday, but I have known you for a long time. And I have always felt the connection we had since then" she was looking at me with an expectant look
I breathe in again
And exhaled
I looked directly into her eyes
"I love you"
