We got ready and got into the HMS pogue to pick up the others
"Hi Miss Amy! You guys get through it?" asked my brother being polite
"Still here" she replied giving us a friendly smile
"She totally looked at me" said JJ "no she didnt" i said rolling my eyes but John B backed him up "I saw it"
"Look at this place, Agatha what did you do?"
"She is a crazy lady"
"Hard core"
"Hurricane surge, we'll be cleaning this all summer" said JJ making me groan "That is my nightmare" i replied not wanting to even think about cleaning this place up
"Well, look who we got here" i said as we approached pope
"We have a safety meeting. Attendance mandatory" said John B faking a walkie talkie with his hands
"I cant. My pop's got me on lockdown"
"Come on man, your dad's a pussy. Over" JJ said going along with JB and doing a walkie talkie
"Oh, I heard that, you little bastard" said Heyward from behind pope
"We need your son"
"Yeah, and island rules. Day after a hurricane is a free day" JJ said making me chuckle
"Who the hell made that up?"
"uh... Pentagon, i think. We have a security clearance" JJ replied to Heyward
I knew that in order to get pope out of there we had to distract his dad and he had to make a run for it, so i started talking to Heyward
"Hi Heyward! How are you?" i asked him
"im doing fine Ava, thanks for asking how about you?"
"im great thank you" i said smiling while the boys told pope to make a run for it, Pope started running towards the boat when Heyward noticed what was going on
"I promise i'll do it tommorrow Dad" said pope to his dad that was already scolding him to get back there and help him clean
"youre gonna clean shrimp, youre gonna clean fish..." said Heyward clearly mad at us
"Im sorry Heyward, have a great day!" i said feeling guilty
"We'll bring him back in one piece, I promise"
"Good job princess" JJ said looking at me then giving me a high five
Then we went and picked up Kie
"oh top of the mornin' to ya" said JJ
"Good Morning"
"Morning"
"Watcha got? You got some juice boxes? " i asked her as I saw a cooler on her hands "you know, just some yogurt and carrot sticks"
"How about my type of juice box?" asked JJ "Yeah"
Kie, John B, JJ and i grabbed a beer, pope didnt want to drink so he took control of the driving and JB came to drink with us.
We were joking around when JJ told us he had a party trick "oh God here we go, im moving" i said
I knew what it was, he had been trying it for weeks but he never succeded, i just laughed at him knowing he wasnt going to make it
"Hey pope, can you go a little faster" he said standing at the edge of the boat and raising the beer
"We've tried this like 6000 times" said John B sitting at the back
"I got it. Its gonna work" he said letting the wind blow the beer into his mouth, failing miserably
"Oh my god, youre getting beer in my hair" said Kie trying to cover up
"Okay all right, all right" said pope trying not to get the beer in his eyes
I stood up to try and get the beer out of JJ's hand when all of a sudden the boat stops throwing us both flying off the boat
"Jesus pope" said Kie grabbing her head
"you okay Aves? JJ?" John B asked us
"I'd never seen my back bend like that" i said in pain
"I think my heels touched the back of my head" said JJ, normally i would have laughed at his comment but i was in too much pain to do so
"Kie you okay?" he then asked "im alright"
"Pope what did you do?" i asked him still groaning "Sandbar. The channel changed"
"No shit" said JJ while we swam towards the boat "Ugh, this is probably gonna mess this whole place up" JB said while helping me climb up
"Hey, I saved the beer though" JJ said happily "Congrats JJ" i said
"Guys... I think theres a boat down there" Said Pope catching our attention "Shut up" "No way"
"No, no, guys im serious. Theres a boat down there. For real. Its a boat" he said pointing at it, thats all he had to say to get me back in the water "Holy shit, he's right, lets go" said Kie, JB and her took of their clothes and got in the water with me and JJ
"you think theres a dead body down there?" pope asked us still taking his clothes off "Guys wait up!"
"Get your ass in here!"
"Come on pope, hurry up"
We all dived down until we reached the boat, we got a good look at it and went back up since it was too deep and we were running out of air
"you guys saw that right?" JJ asked us really excited
"Yeah, I did"
"Yeah"
"Thats a Grady White, a new one of those is 500 Gs, easy" JJ informed us "Thats a primo rig"
"Thats the boat i saw when I surfed the surge" said John B "Maybe it hit the Jetty or something"
"Wait you saw a boat?" i asked him since he didnt tell me that yesterday
"You surfed the surge? What the heck" Kie said worried
"wait, wait. Do we know whose boat that is?" asked pope
"No, but we're about to find out" John B said in a cheerful tone
"Its too deep" i said "For the weak and Feeble, Aves" he said
"Well im not resuscitating you. Im just making that clear up front" I told him i got a 'thats fine' as a reply from him
"John B" said Kie worried
"What?" he asked
JJ and i looked at each other knowing exactly what to do next
"Diver down fool"
"Diver down"
"Yeah he is" said JJ while we both pushed him off the boat, we looked at each other and did our handshake. Some time passed and John B wasnt coming up, we all started getting worried
"Should we go get him?" asked pope, on cue John B came out coughing, all of us let out a breath we didnt knew we were holding
"Oh my god that took forever!" said Kie relieved that he was okay
"Any dead bodies?"
"Looting potencial?"
"No, no, I found this motel key" said JB holding up the key for us to see
"A key" pope said disappointed "Yes, a key, Pope" replied my brother "Great, we salvaged a motel key" said JJ
"Guys we should report the wreck to the coast guard, maybe we'll get a finders fee" i told them
"Yeah, and not work all summer. Thanks, Agatha, ya batch" JJ said making me chuckle at his comment

We went to the desk and tried to tell the man that we had found a boat but he wouldnt listen to us
"Excuse me"
"uh excuse me sir, we found a boat"
"Youre gonna wanna hear this"
"Hey! Calm down" said the man to John B clearly annoyed, we decide to leave since we knew it was no use
"Well that went well" said pope sarcastically
"So, whats the plan?" i asked
"I know how we're gonna find the guy who owns that boat" JB said
"We dont know whose room that is. It could be anyone" Pope said not wanting to get in trouble
"Im in" said JJ tossing me the keys, I catched them and Kie said "Cmon, i'll be lookout"
"Finders fee, just sayin' " i said trying to convince Pope "and hey, at least you'll only be an accomplice" John B added "Cmon Bubba"
When we arrived the place looked really messed up
JJ whistled and said "I thought the Chateau looked bad"
"This place is a shit show" JB said
"Motel or meth lab?" i asked
"You be the judge" answered Pope
"Doesnt look like the kind of place somebody with a Grady-White stays" said my brother "No. Looks like a place someone with a Grady-white would get killed" i said looking at the place
"This is your captain speaking HMS pogue comin' in for a landing" said JJ jumping out of the boat and tying it up
"All right, here goes nothing" said John B getting out of the boat
"Hey" pope said touching my shoulder
"dont let him do anything stupid"
"oh we will" said JJ "im not Making any promises, but i'll try" i said looking at them
"Be careful" Kie said to JB, JJ and i looked at eachother and smiled knowing we'd thought the same thing "I mean it" she said, John B just breathed out a 'yeah' while blushing a little bit
"why are all these matresses out here?" asked JB trying to ignore what had just happened with Kie "after a hurricane they ditch em' cause theyre all moldy" said JJ
"Just be so careful John" JJ said while rubbing his face making fun of him "God youre so wierd" said John B annoyed
"yeah what was that all about?" i asked him curious "i dont know. Maybe she wants us to be careful" he said "Since she heard youre being threatened with exile, she's been like, oh! Be so careful John B!" JJ said rubbing my brothers shoulders "Oh just give me that John D already" i couldnt hold it and i laughed
"When are you gonna swoop on that man?" he asked "You know the rule, no pogue on pogue macking" John B said, I looked at JJ but i catched him already looking at me, I quickly looked away with a blush starting to rise on my cheeks
"Why dont you swoop on her?" JB asked JJ, to which he replied "Ive got my eyes on someone right now" then glanced at me quickly
Now see its in moments like these, that I think he likes me but then again it might be my head messing with me, maybe he likes someone else and just looked at me to see if I was with them or if I stayed behind, Ugh why. I zoned out of their conversation just lost in my thoughts then all I hear is John B saying "its like every girl who just has a heartbeat youre like uhhhh"
"It used to be that way, not anymore, remember ive got my eyes on somebody" JJ said
"This is it" John B completly ignoring what JJ had just said, JJ knocked on the door and with a really high pitched voice he said "Housekeeping" i chuckled at his impression "Should we try it?" i asked them holding the keys up "Yeah" JB said "No power, no security cameras, nobody's gonna know" said JJ
I opened the door and we started looking for stuff that would help us know who was saying there, I was looking through some papers with JJ when he said "Hey guys, come here, maybe this is where they were fishing"
"Let me see" said JB looking at some coordinates with a map "No, thats off the continental shelf. Thats big swell, nobody fishes there"
"Okay" JJ said and continued looking through stuff "Look Aves, tissues for when you get lonely" i cracked up a smile "Shut up JJ"
I was looking at the papers JJ was previously looking at, while John B was trying to open a safe, he tried some numbers but it wouldnt open
"Punching shit at random, that will... definetly work" JJ said looking at my brother struggle "Maybe try this" i said handing John B a paper with some numbers written on it, he tried them and it worked
"Uh... JJ" i said in shock of what I was seeing
"youre gonna wanna see this" John B said showing him the money, JJ ran over to us and grabbed a gun that was with the money
"Dude, dude, dude, dude, This is a SIG sauer" JJ said all excited with the gun in his hands "put the gun back JJ!" said JB freaking out
"This is a fucking spendy gatt, man. Just... Bam! Bam!" JJ said moving the gun as if he was shooting at something around the room
"we are not stealing anything!" John B said
"Hey princess just take a picture of me. Right here" JJ said posting with the gun "You want me to take a picture of you?" i asked not believing how stupid he was "yeah, Ava, like.."
"And make our own incriminating evidence? Is that what youre talking about?" i said, then we heard a sound come from the window
"wait, what was that?" JJ asked while John B was looking out the window, he moved over to the window next to the door and breathed out "cops"
"Shit!" i said freaking out then thought "The window! Cmon, cmon, cmon please open!" i said but it wasnt opening, JJ and John B helped me, we managed to get out and closed the window just seconds before the cops barged into the room
We stood at the edge of the window, JJ was grabbing me by my waist so i wouldnt fall, we tried to squeeze the most we could so we wouldnt be seen, I was trying not to slip since we were just at the edge. John B looked inside making me nervous so i moved a little to the side but to my surprise there was no more space, I lost my balance and almost fell but JJ hardened his grip in my waist and kept me from falling, but as he did the gun slipped from his pocket causing a loud clatter, I closed my eyes and got closer to JJ, hoping that we wouldnt get caught, a few second later JJ whispered in my ear "come on lets go"
