After meeting Lisa's parents, Jisoo and Lisa decided to join their other friends who were partying at their favorite club. They told them what happened to Jennie and what their plan was. The two drowned themselves in alcohol to relieve their nervousness and stress from the day. Seulgi, being Seulgi, is overjoyed for Lisa, despite the fact that the wedding is just a plan to help Jennie's family and there are no feelings involved.
"Hey Lisayah, why are you so sad? Aren't you excited you're going to marry the love of your life in a few days?" Seulgi teases Lisa.
"You don't understand Seulgi, you're not even in my situation." Lisa said as she drank the whiskey straight from her glass.
"If you're feeling uneasy, I can marry Jennie instead. You know my family is just as powerful as yours." Seulgi chuckled and winked at Lisa, but the other only gave her a deathly glare after that. "You know I'm just kidding Lisayah. My father will kill me if I get married unexpectedly, and you will definitely kill me if I touch Jennie." Seulgi laughed awkwardly and gave Lisa a peace sign, then a beautiful lady approached them.
"Hi, dance with me hottie." The lady said, winking at Lisa.
"Is she checking me out?" Lisa whispered to Seulgi. "Don't worry Lisayah, I'll handle this." Seulgi replied, winking at her.
"I'm so sorry, baby girl. My friend isn't available anymore, so I'll dance with you instead." Seulgi said as she slowly dragged the lady to the dance floor. "Womanizer." Lisa muttered to herself as she looked at Seulgi.
That night, Seulgi paid all the bills of the club's customers, even though they didn't know all of them, just to celebrate Lisa's upcoming wedding. The perks of being a rich kid.
After drinking and partying, their friends decided to bring the two to Lisa's penthouse because they knew Jennie would be even more upset if she saw the two ladies' state. Wendy, the group's soberest member, brought the two home and message Rosé that they were already asleep at Lisa's place.
'Damn that chicken and monkey.' Rosé thought to herself after reading Wendy's message. She's relieved that Jennie is already asleep and won't question her about why the two didn't return that night.
The next morning.
Lisa and Jisoo woke up with severe headaches as a result of their heavy drinking, but despite that, the two decided to go straight to Jennie's house.
Jennie, Rosé and Mrs. Kim are eating breakfast when they arrived. Rosé stood on her seat and greeted them with a frown, but still kissed Lisa on the cheeks and pecked Jisoo on the lips. Mrs. Kim gives them a small smile, while Jennie remains silent and continues to eat her food. The two decided to join them for breakfast and discussed what had happened with Lisa's parents the night before. They were in the midst of a conversation when Jennie excused herself to go to her room. Jisoo gave Lisa a look and told her to follow the other lady, so Lisa excused herself and followed Jennie to her room.
"Auntie, did you talk to Jendeukie?" Jisoo asked.
"No, my dear Jisoo, I think she's so mad at me that she hasn't talked to me since she woke up, and if Rosé doesn't plead with her to eat her food, she won't eat at all." Jennie's mother said with a sad voice.
"Just give her some time auntie, Jendeukie will definitely talk to you again." Jisoo told her aunt.
"I didn't want Jennie to get involved in this mess, but I don't have a choice. I also don't want to force Lisa into it, but she's the only one who can help us. I know she'll protect Jennie from them. I can't imagine what they'll do to her if they get her." Mrs. Kim said.
"Don't worry auntie, Lisa will take care of her. Speaking of Lisa, her parents invited us to dinner with the rest of Lisa's relatives They want to talk about the wedding. And also auntie, I just want to remind you that they don't know about anything. All they know is that Lisa and Jennie are in a relationship and they want to get married soon." Jisoo said, and Rosé's eyes widened. "Can I come, too, baby?" The blonde asked. "Of course, let's go with Auntie and Jendeukie. They definitely needed our support." Jisoo said.
"I don't want Lisa to lie to her parents, but I have no choice," Mrs. Kim sobs once more. "Don't worry auntie, everything will be fine soon." Rosé and Jisoo reassure her.
LISA
Why do I have to follow Jennnie? 'Damn Lalisa, you're so stupid!'
I know Jennie needs some alone time, so why do I have to obey Jisoo unnie's order? I decided to leave if Jennie didn't open the door, so I knocked once, but she quickly opened it. Another lucky day.
"Why are you here, Lisa?" Jennie asked.
"Can I talk to you?" I asked and scratched my nape. She opened the door wide to let me into her room. I sit on the sofa in front of her bed, and she sits on the edge of her bed.
"I-i really wanted to talk to you to, Lisa, I want to talk to you about the wedding, I thoroughly thought about it last night...and," Jennie said seriously, fidgeting her fingers. I'm afraid of what she'll say next. What if she declines my offer? I can't afford to give her to those jerks.
"I-i will marry you, Lisa, but I have conditions." Jennie said. I'm relieved by what she said, but damn, there are conditions.
"All right, tell me about it. But I'll only accept those conditions if it ensures your safety." I replied. She nods and takes a deep breath.
"There are only two of them. The first is that I know you will pay all of my mom's debt. I know it's not really hers, but she tolerated my dad, she kept it from me for so long, and I'm so hurt about it. But a debt is a debt, Lisa, and I want to repay you-" Jennie is still speaking when I interrupt her.
"You don't have to Jennie, you're my-" And I'm still not finished when she starts talking again. "No Lisa, it's my condition. A debt is a debt. If you paid it, we are now indebted to you, but if you can't accept it, I have no choice but to decline your offer. I don't care if they will take me, after all, it's our debt in the first place." She stares at me intently. She never gives me a choice. I sighed and returned my gaze to her.
"Fine, fine pay me if you want to, but I will not force you to pay me instantly." I told her, raising my two hands as if I was giving up, and she nodded. "So, what's the second and final condition?" I asked, and she looked away from me, fidgeting her fingers once more.
"Uhmmm can we forget about what happened to Jeju. I want us to be like as we are before, you and me as best friends. I don't want to ruin our friendship and I don't want to be unfair to you coz you know I'm with Mino. Lisa can you not fall for me more when we got married. That's my last condition." Jennie said then looks at me.
I'm at a loss for words. Is she for real? She has no right to ask me that. I have feelings too. She is concerned about our friendship, but what about me? I'm also human.
"All right, I will forget about Jeju, Jennie. I won't fall deeper in love with you when we get married as well." I said, and suddenly there is a glint of hope in her eyes. She's about to say something, but I keep speaking. "But we can't be like before, we can't be best friends anymore, Jennie. I'm sorry." I said without looking at her. I'm currently holding all of my emotions. I'm in a lot of pain inside right now.
Jennie looks at me as if she's about to cry, but she only nods. "Lisa, I respect your decision." She said and looked down.
"Jennie, I'll let you pay me and promise not to fall deeper in love with you, that's your two conditions, isn't it? A-are you going to marry me?" I asked again, and she just nodded her head without looking at me.
"Thank you Jennie. I'll leave you now. By the way we are going to my parents later they want to talk about the wedding." I didn't wait for her answer and leave her room. I wanted to shout and curse but I can't. This pain I'm feeling is too much. Why do I have to fall for you Jennie. Why?
