[Not edited!  Long chapter!]

Reckless. They were very very reckless on the ride home.

And soon, from all the laughs, giggles, swerving and almost falling no thanks to Scarlet. The world had finally gone silent and easy.

It was pleasant to have the silence linger around them, as they rode from the sidewalk turning into the street. They passed various shops and different entries of the town.

One of them, Scarlet knew, to be the one she took to get to the Aladdin Theatre and its arcade. She also knew that it took her to meet the one and only boy she found there.

The thought of him made the butterfly's continue to rush through her stomach and soon she found her self smiling up at the thought of them together. But those thoughts couldn't last for long, as they were just a fantasy as much as this world.

She sensed another realization around her, her head and her eyes scanning every which way they could possibly can, and for the first time in what seemed like a long time, she felt like she had woken up.

Her eyes last fell on Beverly. Her hair, her back, and her body seemed to become distant. Scarlet wrapped her hands tighter onto Beverly's sides and laid her head against her back.

Static.
Long television static closely becoming white noise erupts from Bev's body, Scarlet quickly pushed her head up pursing her lips.

"You okay? You're getting a little tight there," Beverly asked carefully, suddenly her body flickered fracturing from her head. Scarlet gulped loosening her grip on Bev's sides. "Y-yeah, just missing my family..." She lied and replied worriedly.

Soon the apartments came into view. Scarlet and Beverly are already up the steps, unlocking the door, and seeing through. "Bevy is that you?" Beverly's dad howlers from the living room as Beverly pulled in Scarlet and quickly shutting the door.

"Yes daddy, but I-"
"You brought a friend over?" He talked over her walking into the hallway. He leans against the doorway a beer in hand, starring down at the two. Beverly's eyes flashed between his disappointed look and the beercan he held.

She stayed quiet keeping her eyes on her father and slowly pushed Scarlet behind her.  The man took a sip of beer and eyeing them up and down. He licked his lips letting his hand drop down to his hip. "I saw her in your bed this morning, Bevy."

He set his can down on a nearby table. "Why was she in your bed? How come you didn't tell me first?" his voice became forceful and demanding. He waited for her to answer.

Scarlet watched has Beverly's eyes shifted direction. "This is Scarlet. She's just a f-friend from school," Beverly stammered says barely gesturing Scarlet to her dad. Scarlet nodded along behind Beverly and then something strange happened.

Beverly's dad paused like literally paused for a split of a second and Scarlet only caught it just in time before his face twitched as he sprang to life again. "She can s-staY for now." He said again suddenly, his words glitching out with him.

"Thank god..." Scarlet mumbled feeling a little relieved, but nevertheless still worried.
"But not for long," he adds, taking his Beer off the table and existing from the doorway. Beverly quickly grabbed Scarlet's wrist and dragged her to her room. Once in the room, Beverly shut the door and locked it.

"I'm sorry about that" Beverly says sadness clouded her features. "Hey it's okay Beverly it's fine," Scarlet reassures her, letting her backpack fall off her shoulders. "No, no it's not okay. My dad is not okay," said Beverly masking her face in her hands.

"Listen it will get better. I can see it!" Beverly pulls from Scarlet's grasp and looks hopefully at her. "You can?" Beverly says peaking from her hands. "Did you see that with your future vision?" She snorted pulling her hands away, exposing her blushed face, and she brushed her palms together.

Scarlet chuckled and rolled her eyes. "Yes, of course," Scarlet says throwing her hands up and giving Beverly a cheesy smile. To Scarlet's relaxation, Beverly laughed along with her. She wasn't lying, as Scarlet did almost forget that she told Beverly she had a "future vision".

She felt bad for Beverly. Living with this a monster like that all your life? She couldn't imagine, but she also couldn't see her friend stay in this state for long. "I really hope so..." Beverly's voice softly trailed off and she engulfed Scarlet into a hug.

"Come on Bevy, We gotta figure out what we're going to do tomorrow," said Scarlet rubbing Beverly's back once more before pulling away and helping her friend off the floor.
"Maybe we can meet the losers somewhere fun?" Scarlet suggests grabbing her backpack. Beverly took her own bag, plopping herself onto her bed, and started to unpack.

"Hmm maybe, what could we do?" Beverly asked taking out some books from her backpack. Scarlet watched knowingly as Beverly stopped to catch a lighthouse postcard slide out. "I wonder who wrote you that?" Scarlet said cheeky, smirking.

She grabbed her lollipop bag and took one out, quickly unwrapping it.
"...January Embers, My heart burns there too." Beverly wistfully whispered and a warm smile grew on her face as she kept re-reading the love note.

"Possibly Bill?" Scarlet said with a suggestive tone, eating the lollipop, glancing back up to Beverly. "You really think so?" Beverly asks doubtfully sitting at the edge of her bed. "Oh totally! Did you see how he looked at you at the quarry? He had total heart eyes!" Scarlet winking at

Beverly, but her face turned sour and she took the lollipop out of her mouth, checking the flavor on the wrapper. "Ugh! Cherry!" she huffed, putting the lollipop back in the wrapper.

"Well, what about you and Richie?" Beverly suddenly asks just as suggestive as Scarlet. "What about us?" Scarlet said avoiding Beverly's gaze. "Oh I don't know, maybe because you guys are almost always around each other? I mean did you see what he did at the Quarry!?" She said still happily gazing the letter.

"Okay, but that just seems like Richie! I'm sure he's flirted with other girls before." She forcefully pushed a tone of disbelief. Scarlet reached into her backpack took out the family photo.

She sighed and stared at the happy picture. Longing for the feeling of being cared for again.
"Richie wouldn't like me like that..." she whispered. "Scarlet I'm pretty sure that Richie hasn't been around any girl to flirt like that. And if he didn't like you, which I doubt, do you like him?"

Like before Scarlet pondered on the thought of her liking, Richie. The strange feeling popping up again. How could she forget that? His adorable glasses that make his brown doe eyes big, his soft brown hair, his stupid fucking jokes. Richie Tozier, out of all the losers there was, he took her heart.

What a mistake, she thought. Her head pushed her back a few days ago to when she was laying on the couch in between his arms. The warm feeling of being held, being cared for, for just a second. Falling in love with Richie Tozier wasn't the mistake. Falling in love with a fictional character was.

Scarlet thought about this for a little longer. He's fake. This is all fake...or is it? Yes, it is. This isn't real love. She looks back down at the picture of her loving family. "I know what fake love looks like, it shouldn't be this," she mumbled to herself.

She sighs and puts the photo back into her backpack and with gloomy eyes, looks back up at Beverly. "Yeah I do, I like him a lot, Bev..." She quietly answered.

Beverly smiled back at her and winked. Then strangely she glitched. What the fuck.
Just like her dad did. "T-ThaAtss- So- O-" Beverly's words glitched with her as her face and body broke from the setting. Just like it did while riding the bike, parts of her face and arms cracking and fusing back together.

Scarlet never witnessed something as bad as this. Sure there's glitches, and stitches, and Basic programming errors, but this? Could the DVD be scratched? No, she never used it until now. Is her DVD player broken? Questions like that raced through her head. Is someone or something toying with the portal...

"That's so cute! Scarlet, you should tell him!" Beverly suddenly screamed. Everything coming back to normal. She went back to smiling and reading her note. She shifted with her knees now in front of her and kept on smiling. Dreamy eyed and repeating the words "My heart burns there to".

That wasn't the only strange thing that has been happening. What Scarlet thought the strangest thing to happen was when voices came out of the hallway. "Beavery!" they said through the closed door. "Beverly over here!" they called and Scarlet darted her eyes towards Beverly, but she still sat there, reciting the same words as if she couldn't hear anything. She almost seemed like a robot.

"Come save us Beverly!" a tiny voice whispered then,

"Come down here!" A boy yelled, his voice echoing

"We've come to meet you!" an older male voice gargled

"We all float down here,"  They said in unison. Their voices bound together

What the actual fuck. "Hello?" Scarlet called out. She looked back to Beverly who was still in a trance and then she stood up. Slowly walking her towards the door and the voices were growing louder. "Who are you guys?" Her voice faintly echoed back to her.

"I'm Veronica" A tiny voice chimed.
"Betty Rimson" another one girlish voice spoke.
As they introduced themselves scarlet tried following their voices across the door as they spoke. Figuring out where they were, but the voices all came from the same spot in the middle of the door.

"Beverly, come closer." One of them demanded. Scarlet clenched her jaw and reached for the doorknob, her hand shook as she actually turned it. She quickly swung it open, ready for a jump scare, but no one was there.

The Hallway was empty. Scarlet backed up in fear. She rubbed her sweaty palms together as she unclenched her jaw and let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in. She stared into the empty hallway and then heard them again.

"Come closer." Another demanded again. This time the voice echoed out from the bathroom and scarlet stretched her neck to get a better view of the bathroom walls. No ones in there either.

And like a smack in the face, the scene fell into place. This is how it's supposed to be! she thought. This is the Bloody bathroom scene!...but if Beverly's in here...

"Wanna see? We float," They croaked creating a realization. Scarlet's eyes flew open and she quickly reached for the door and slammed it shut and locking it. "We change," The bonded voice slowly drained into nothing.

Scarlet turned Beverly as she happily read her note, unware of the hair crawling up on her wall and wrapping themselves on her legs.

"Beverly!" Scarlet screamed and as fast as lightning the vines wrapped tightly on Beverly's body. From her Neck down to her feet she was pushed up against her wall.

Beverly started to scream her head off. She tried fighting back, but the vines were too strong and kept her help. "Scarlet! Help me!" She screamed. "Daddy! Daddy!"

Scarlet stood still watching in horror as Beverly was held up from her bed. The door started rattling, Scarlet pushed herself and ran to the door swinging it open. She expected it to be Beverly's dad, but all she saw was red.

A wave of gushing dark blood poured out of the hallway and into Beverly's room soaking everything in it. Everything except Scarlet. The wave crashed into her, but nothing was affected.

Nothing was damaged, unlike Beverly who was still screaming after a wave of blood crashed into her. Soaking her in blood along with her bed, the postcard which she never let go of and the walls.

After everything calmed down, well as calmed down as you can get. The vines of hair unwrapped themselves from Beverly and disappeared under the bed. Beverly was still proper up against the wall, sobbing harder. She gazed around in terror her and her face grew wide as she slides down from the wall onto her bed.

[ Hey guys! I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while I'm just starting to lose motivation for this story. I'm just not happy with what I've written, but I am going to finish this story! Because if I don't I think I might go crazy haha. So in the near future chapters will be lacking a little bit. They won't be as written good, I mean try writing something you don't like- it's hard. I'm sorry again if you did like this story, I wish still liked it :/ but its time to make room for bigger things Ig.]
