It was Tuesday morning you and Alana were getting ready for school, when you finished your morning routine you headed downstairs
"Morning Lana where's dad?" You asked your sister
"He had to go to work early today as always" Alana said with a groan
"I can't believe him he didn't even stay to congratulate us for getting to go on our first mission with the whole team" you said to your sister
"Yeah...well let's hurry eat breakfast so we won't be late for school" Alana said with a smile
"Yeah your right...I can't wait for the mission after school" you said with a grin on your face
"Me too (y/n/n)" Alana said incase you didn't remember y/n/n mean your nick name
(Time skip at school)
It was your third period of the day you had math class now and you were day dreaming about you and Dick while you placed your hand on the necklace he gave you, you snapped out of your thoughts when a piece of paper hit you, you picked it up and read it
Where did you get that necklace I bet you stole it
"What the- who sent this" you asked yourself while you looked around the class then you noticed your school bully Becky looking at you smirking. You groaned at the sight of her
"Thief" she mouthed you read her lips
"I am not a thief" you mouth back.
It was like that for the whole day but you lost it at lunch, you,Alana and your girl friends was sitting in your usual spot in the cafeteria laughing while you all had lunch when all of a sudden you felt cold liquid run down your head you looked up to see none other than Becky
"Why you little-" before you could finish your sentence she slapped you in the face, everyone in the cafeteria fixed eyes on you two Alana was about to say something but you cut her off by shouting at Becky
"Your going to regret that!!" You shouted
"Ohhhhh what are you gonna do steal my pencil's" she said snickering, you punched her in the face
"Ouch!!!" She shouted in pain that's when one of our teachers Mr.James walked in
"You two in the principal office now" the teacher shouted. You and Becky followed him to the office
"Knock the door and wait" he said walking back to the teachers lounge, Becky and I looked at him until he disappeared into the room down the hall, you looked at Becky who now had a bloody nose
"We are in so much trouble" you said looking at her face
"Yep and I'm sure we might get suspended or something, not only that but you destroyed my pretty face!!" She shouted
"Oh shut up you just have a bloody nose" you said looking at her in disbelief. You knocked on the principal's office door
"Come in" you heard a lady say, you both walked in and the principal gestured to you and Becky to sit down
"Now what happened here" the principal asked. You and Becky began talking at the same time arguing with each other
"Quiet!!" The principal shouted
'i wish I could smack the principal right here and now' you thought to yourself
"You don't have to explain anything I'll just check the camera's" the principal said, yes our school had cameras after all it's Gotham academy we're talking about
"You both get detention after school today" the principal said looking at you both disappointed
"But Ms.Roberts I have important things to do after school" you said to her
"Well you should have thought about that before you punched Becky" she said
" But-"
"No buts, you both will go to the science lab after school and Mrs.Agresst will stay with you two for detention" the principal said with a serious face and a stern voice
"Okay" you and Becky said and you both walked out of the office. You looked at Becky and she looked at you then you both looked down at the floor and headed to class since lunch break was over
(Time skip after school)
You and your sister walked out of class
"I can't wait for us to get on the mission today" Alana said with a bright smile on her face
"Yeah about that, I'm gonna be late for this mission" you said looking down and the floor
"What why?" She asked
"Because of what happened in the cafeteria" I replied
"Oh don't worry I'll tell the team, maybe they'll wait for you" she said with a reassuring smile
"I hope so" you said, even if you know that wasn't going to happen
"Hey umm I have to go to the science lab I forgot something in there" you said, you lied because you didn't want to make her sad or anything
" Oh ok I'll wait here for you" she said smiling
"U-UHH no you should go to get ready for the mission I don't want to make you late" you said trying to convince her to go on without you
"Ok but hurry I don't want to have my first mission without you" she said looking slightly sad
"Hey don't worry" you said. You both hugged and she waved at you and headed out of the school. You ran to the science lab
"Sorry I'm late" you said as you stepped in the lab
"It's ok take a seat next to Becky" the teacher said. You did as she said. A few minutes have passed and the teacher was lecturing us on why we shouldn't have fought, when all of a sudden your phone began ringing. When you checked it it was Alana
"Um I'm sorry miss (L/n) but no phones allowed in detention hand it over I'll give it back after detention" the teacher said, you handed over the phone and waited for time to pass by
(Nightwing's POV)
"Where is she?!" Cassie asked impatiently
"I don't know last time I saw her she said she had to go to the science lab because she forgot something there" Alana said with a disappointed look on her face
"Well we can't just sit around here waiting" Kidflash said
"Call her again" I said to Alana
"I've already called 6 times" she said
"Ok I think we should take this mission without her" I said
"But don't you think we should wait a few more minutes?" Artemis asked
"Yeah one more minute" Miss Martian said
"I'm sorry guys but nightwing is right we should get going" Batgirl said
"I can't believe she would let us down like that" I said
"I agree with you nightwing, but we can't blame her besides we don't know what trouble she might have gotten herself into" Aqua lad said while he placed his hand on my shoulder
"We should get going" Guardian said
"And we will pay her a visit after the mission" Superboy said
"Alright then let's get to the mission" I said the team and I including Alana walked to the ship
(Back to your POV)
It was 9:57pm and you were walking home from school when Becky stopped in her car and offered you a ride, you took it as you didn't want to walk and also because your were exhausted. You guys finally arrived at your house
"Nice house by the way" Becky said
"Thanks Becky" you said at her smiling
"And thanks for the ride" you added
"No problem" she said and she drove off . You headed inside the house
"Alana I'm home!!" You shouted hoping she was back from the mission already, you didn't get a reply so you just went up to your room, when you got there you turned on the light
"What the heck are you doing here!!" You shouted as you was caught off guard by the team, they were dressed in normal clothes
"Where were you!!" Dick shouted
"I was in school" you said shocked that he actually shouted at you
"What was so important at school that you couldn't make it on the mission?" Artemis asked
"I-i it's just t-that" you couldn't even speak you observe the faces of all the team members, they looked angry and disappointed
"I can't believe you right now" Alana said really sad and angry
"I know I'm sorry I didn't mean to let you guys down its just that I got in this mess in school and I couldn't get out of it" you said looking down
"Well guess what, you did let us down" kaldur said, and with that the team walked out of the room leaving you there alone speechless
"I thought Dick was my boyfriend and here he is not even supporting me he didn't even listen to me" you thought to yourself
You decided that you needed some fresh air so you threw on some leggings and a hoody.

You heard the team talking in the living room, you walked down the stair and into the living room and headed for the front door
"(Y/n) where are you going?" The person asked, you didn't turn around you knew it was Dick, you could feel the team starting at you
"(Y/n) answer the question" you knew it was Artemis that spoke this time
You put the hood over you head hiding your face then you slightly tilted your head to the side
"Out" was all you said and you know they hear the anger in your voice
"Where could you be going at a time like this" Alana asked
" Yeah it's 10:30" Superboy said
"Why would you care" you said even angrier then you walked out and slammed the door ignoring the calls of you team mates
(Time skip to the middle of Gotham)
It was 11:45 you went into a bar and let off enough steam, you were heading back home when you heard someone behind you
"Well, well, well if it isn't (y/n)"
You turned around
"Who are you and how do you know my name?" You asked, it was lady with beautiful features and she was wearing a mask
"Don't worry about that" she said
Stepping closer to you
"You should worry about that behind you" she added
"What?" You asked turning around
"Ahhhh!!" You screamed out in pain you held your neck, she injected something in your neck
"No, no, no" you mumbled as you fell to the ground and your eyes felt heavy then black spots filled your vision, the last thing you saw was the lady's face then you were out cold
