My mom creaked open my door. It was around 9am and said,
"Luna, we're going to leave in an hour to go get breakfast then on the gondola. Get up and get ready please"
"Okay" I said softly and rolled out of bed.
(an: if you don't know what a gondola is it's basically like a boat that is very common in italy. it's like a canoe that you can ride around these canals that are all over cities in Italy, if you are italian or from Italy i'm so sorry if i sucked at explaining that please don't come for me🤍🥺)

My mom shut my door. Mattia was still in bed, asleep. I sighed knowing we would have to either resolve a fight or he would drag the fight on. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, did the rest of my skin care routine, put on deodorant and perfume. I put on this outfit:
Then I also put on mascara, eyebrow gel and highlighter. I brushed my hair then I walked out of the bathroom. I looked at Mattia, he was still sleeping. Why do him and I always fight on vacation? I swear this shit is cursed for us. I grabbed my phone then I gently kissed Mattia's head,
"I love you" I whispered.
I walked out of my room and shut the door quietly. My mom and Gianna were waiting for me.
"We're going to go to a cute little cafe, our gondola ride is at 11am" My mom said.
"Okay!" I said.
My mom, my sister and I all walked a few blocks to the cafe. We all sat outside. My mom ordered black coffee and Gianna and I ordered cappuccinos.
All of us ordered an assortment of biscottis and cornettis (an: they ate italian croissants). We all ate then Gianna said,
"I'm trying to find myself a hot Italian man"
My mom and I laughed then Gianna said,
"No I'm serious, I'm about to download tinder"
"Gianna! That app is not good for serious relationships" My mom said.
"Who said it was serious" Gianna said.
I burst out into laughter and Gianna said,
"I'm kidding!!!" Gianna said.
We all finished eating, we paid then we followed my mom to the canals to find our gondola. My mom found our gondola. A guy greeted us, he spoke English very well, thankfully in my case. I nudged Gianna because he looked about her age and was pretty attractive, in her case obviously I have a fine italian boy already, Mattia of course. She smirked then we all got into the gondola.
"Welcome, good morning ladies. I'm Emilio" the boy said.
"Hi Emilio" Gianna and I said, in sync.
"Hello" My mom said.
Emilio started to row the gondola down the canal. He started to tell us about Italian history and the history of the buildings we were passing by. I was taking a lot of pictures and videos. He offered us all wine because apparently I'm at the legal age to drink in Italy... Who knew? I declined and so did Gianna, obviously. My mom accepted.
"This wine 'hits different' as you kids would say" My mom said.
I laughed and so did Emilio.
"Mom stop" Gianna said and laughed.
Emilio parked the gondola, we were still in the water but just kind of floating there.
"Where are you all from?" Emilio asked.
"New Jersey" I said.
"I have cousins over there actually!"
"Really?" Gianna asked.
"Yes I go there a lot actually. They own an Italian restaurant there" Emilio said.
"Well you should visit us next time you're out there" Gianna flirted.
"Maybe" He smiled.
My mom and I could sense they were flirting so we ended up having our own little conversation.
"Mom can you take pictures of me?" I laughed.
"Of course" She said.
My mom and I had a little mini photo shoot. She got cute pictures of me on the bot with a nice background. Emilio took a picture of all of us then went back to talking to Gianna. My mom was getting tipsy at this point and she said,
"Maybe I need to find myself an Italian man, look at your sister getting it"
"Mom..." I laughed.
"Hey Emilio! Do you have a dad?" My mom slurred.
"Mom! Of course he has a dad that's how babies are made! I'm so sorry she's um- a light weight" I laughed.
"I've seen far worse" Emilio laughed.
Gianna looked embarrassed and I smiled to reassure her.
"Do you know of any nude beaches around here?" My mom asked Emilio.
"Mamá!" Gianna snapped.
I was just enjoying drunk mom and laughing.
"Actually yes, there is one 3 blocks north" Emilio laughed.
"I need to go with Mattia's momma" My mom told me.
"Have fun with that" I laughed.
Gianna and Emilio ended up really hitting it off, our tour ended. Emilio have Gianna his number and gave my mom a complementary bottle of wine, probably not the best idea for my mom's sake.
"I hope you all had a great tour, it was my pleasure" Emilio said.
"Thank you so much!" I said.
"Thank you, love!" My mom said and we both got off the boat.
"I'll see you tonight? ..." Gianna said.
"Sounds good, bye, Emilio" Gianna said and got off of the boat.
"See you tonight?" I asked her as we walked back to the apartment.
"He wants to take me to dinner!" Gianna said happily.
"Yesss, Gianna!" I said and hugged her side.
"I know!! Thanks! We both ended up having so much in common and we have such great chemistry!" Gianna cheered.
"Yay! I'm so happy for you" I smiled.
"Thank you, Luna!" Gianna said.
We all walked back to the apartment. When we got there the Polibio's were all just taking it easy. Mattia and Gianluca were on the couch in the living room together watching a cartoon.
"Look at this! You need to try this" My mom said to Mrs. Polibio, showing her the wine Emilio gave her.
"It's 12:30pm?" Mrs. Polibio said, confused.
"She's drunk and our gondola guide thought it would be a great idea to give her a free bottle of wine" I said laughing.
"Oh my" Mattia's mom laughed and rolled her eyes.
"There is a nude beach by us, we have to go!" My mom said to Mattia's mom.
I shook my head, laughed then went into my room. I took off my outfit and changed into some more comfy clothes since my mom didn't have any more plans for us for the rest of the day really. I changed into light blue sweatpants and a white cropped hoodie. Mattia came into our room and grabbed his phone.
"Hey" I smiled.
"Oh hey" Mattia said, with attitude, then began to walk out of our room.
I quickly grabbed his arm and said,
"What's wrong?"
"I don't wanna talk right-" Mattia began to say.
"Don't give be the silent treatment, Mattia Polibio. That's so childish. I don't want an unnecessary fight to ruin our vacation" I said crossing my arms.
"It's not unnecessary" Mattia scoffed.
"Mattia, I can't control Caleb's feelings. He just never managed to get over me, that isn't my fault that's just how he feels. I'll admit, I was probably in the wrong for not telling you but I just didn't expect you to react like this. Can you please think about this from my perspective, you have millions on millions of girls who constantly hate on me just because I'm with you and they aren't. Cynthia openly was into you for months and she would physically show it, same with Isabella. Isabella kissed you, Mattia! Yes, all of that stuff bothers me, a lot, but I can't do much about it. Can you just lighten up?" I asked.
Mattia processed what I said then said,
"I mean... I guess- Well, you're right, Luna. I just don't like the idea of anyone else having you, or just liking you at all. I'm sorry I got angry I just want to protect you" Mattia said.
"No one else 'has me', Mattia. I'm yours, always. I know it's hard to think about other people being interested in me but you do not need to worry or be insecure. You will always have my heart, Mattia. You are so loving, caring and just hella hot. No boy could ever remotely compare to you" I said cupping his face with my palms.
"I'm sorry. I love you, mamas" Mattia smiled and kissed me.
"You come first, Mattia" I smiled and kissed him back.
