Embers pov
Even after I turned off the camera Devan wouldn't stop smiling.
"I've never seen you this happy about something for this long," I giggled
"It's not everyday you find out your having you first child,"
I went up to him and I wrapped my arms around his next. His arms arms snaked around my waist and he hugged me.
"So you're happy?" I asked him
"Definitely more than happy baby," he put his head on top of mine as we rocked in each other's standing embrace listening to the soft hum of jingle bell rock.
I smiled inside and out knowing that he was just as happy as I am.
"Hey we should get going to your parents house," I said
"Yeah... but let's just like this a little longer," he didn't let me go
My head lying against his chest calmed my anxiety from earlier.
Just then Devan's phone rang
He mumbled a curse word under his breath as we reached over and grabbed his phone
"What?" Devan asked sounding annoyed
"Where are you?" I heard Collins say fro
The phone because he wasn't being quite
"I'm at home why?" Devan replied
"Well get over here!"
"Give us like five minutes and then we'll be on our way,"
Collins was in the middle of saying something but Devan hung up on him
"Told ya' we should've left," I teased
"Yeah yeah," he said letting go of me and walking to the bedroom. I went and slipped on my shoes and Devan came out wearing black sweat pants and a hoodie
"Let's go before I s calls me again even madder,"
We both laughed a little

Devan opened the door and Collins was on him
"Where have you been?!" Collins yelled
Devan took a step back and wide eyed stared at him
"I'm sorry not all of us are single lonely people. Some of us have a wife to tend to,"
Collins was set back by this
"Devan i swear you better run,"
"Eh, it's up early for that," Devan walked over to the back of the couch. He sat on the top and then fell backwards so his legs were still dangling over the top
"Mom!" Collins walked off somewhere.
I joined Devan I'm sitting in the couch.
"Do you two always fight on Christmas?"
"It's only tradition," he laughed a little
"Collins Shoo," Anna pushed Collins I to the living room
He flopped down in the floor and crossed his arms like a child.
"You're family is weird," I confessed
"Yeah, well they're yours too now,"
"Oh great,"
I was sitting in the couch regularly and Devan was still sitting backwards. I picked up his head and set it in my lap.
"DEVAN!" Collins yelled
"I'm trying to nap what?"
"Y'all are no fun,"
"Collins you're older than me but you're acting like you're still 5." Devan threw shade a his brother
"So?"
"It's not even noon and you e already blown my eardrums like that one Christmas,"
"We.. we dint talk about that Devan,"
Devan has a smirk on his face.
Just then a knock was in the door
"Collins," me and Devan said at the same time
"I'm on it chill,"
We heard the door open. I turned my head around to see a flash of pink. I quickly snapped my head around and I put my head in my hands
"Oh god please no. No no no no no no no," I muttered under my breath "please not her,"
Devan shot me a look
"Devan!" A high pitch voice said
Devan rolled his eyes and sat up
"Oh hi Wengie!" He faked his excitement
"How's my favorite person ever?!"
"I'm fine. How are you?"
"I'm great now that I get to see you,"
I turned my head slowly The the left and for caught a glimpse of her trying to grab Devan's arm. He pulled away.
She looked at me
"Ember, is that you?"
I turned around completely
"Yep it's me, hi wengie!"
"Wow your hair is so long now," she was being polite
"Yeah," I said vein nice back "I stopped cutting it short and I've been letting it grow out,"
"Well it looks nice,"
"Thank you,"
"What are you doing here?" Devan asked
"To come see my second family of course!"
"Oh," Collins replied
"Yep! I wanted to see my Devy," she stole my nickname
"Umm actually wengie," Devan said inching closer to me
I could tell he felt uncomfortably around her because last time wengie and I were together Devan and I broke up. We both don't want that to happen now.
"He's married," Collins finished Devan's sentence
"Oh my god really??" She said "congrats!"
She only seemed a little jealous
"Who's the lucky gal that swept you off your feet?"
I held up my hand
"'Twas I,"
She shot me a dirty look
"I thought you two broke up like four years ago,"
"No we got back together after the fight went down," he shot me a look and sadness that danced within his eyes showing the fear of him loosing me if he didn't grab my wrists in time.
"Oh,"
Devan repeated the same thing as before. He flipped over the back o the couch and landed. He put his head back into my lap as I was going through my phone.

I was laying down in Devan's bed waiting for the rest of his family to show up.
A light knock was on the door and it opened slightly. In came a Devan.
He looked at me and smiled softly
"Hi," he breathed out
"Hi," I patted the spot next to me in the bed.
He came over and laid down next to me.
"Everyone is here now. It's not as many people as you think. It's just my parents, Collins of course, my grandparents and my aunt Sarah and Uncle Tom, and their kids Juno, Daisy, and Lucas,"
I nodded actually becoming sleepy.
"I was planing on telling them all,"
I looked at him
"You know,"
"Oh," I blushed out of embarrassment
He smiled at me.
"We can tell them yeah,"
He eyes sparkled
"You're pretty," I giggled
"You're pretty," he snickered back at me
"Come on," he said sitting up and sticking out his hand. I accepted it and we walked out to where everyone was
"Hey Ember!" Daisy called coming and giving me a hug.
We went to the living room where everyone was sitting. Me and Devan we're sharing a chair because of limited seating. I didn't mind though. I sat on Devan's legs and he wrapped my arms around my hips keeping me from falling. From time to time Devan would rest his head in between my shoulder blades. I could tell he was tired. I mean we were up until almost midnight and then I woke him up at 5:00 this morning.
"While everyone is here," Devan spoke up "Ember and I would like to tell you all something,"
"You're getting a divorce?" Wengie called
"No," I interrupted Devan
"Is this what i think it is?" Collins asked
I nodded and he gave a smirk
"Ember and I would like to say,"
"Hold up," wengie said from the back "I've gotta go! Sorry text me what the news was!" She left
I leaned back and whispered "well then,"
"Ember and I are having a baby," Devan said before anyone else could interrupt us
"EEEE," daisy squealed "congrats!"
"Devan!" It was his grandpa "why are you having a baby this young?"
"I'm um. I'm married grandpa," Devan became nervous. He tensed up and he started fidgeting.
"Don't you know any better than to go and get,"
"Okay grandpa it's okay. She's my wife," Devan cut him off
"I should've taught you better than I did Collins. Ha! He's older and still single,"
I let a giggle out and Collins shot my a death stare

Devan I'm tireddd," I complained "let me sleep in for my birthday tomorrow,"
"Maybe," I he said "only if you let me pay you in birthday cuddles,"
"Deal, I'm so fine with that," I laughed a little
We walked inside and I went to the bedroom. I flopped down and laid longways on the bed.
"Will you get me a cookie?" I asked him
He walked out and returned with the package of Oreos
"You know me so well," I laughed
"Of course I do,"
