"go away, luke."
"alexa, it is nine am." luke whines, trying to take the pillow from my grip. "time to get up."
"hardly." i tell him, "it's like three am at home. give me a break." i whined back at him, him responding in a soft chuckle.
"we've got some here to be, hurry up. we will get you a redbull or something."
"where?" i open one eye to see his face, his grin taking up his entire face.
"michaels, we're throwing a party for your arrival."
i nodded with a groan, turning over onto my back and looking at him.
"hurry and change, we leave in ten."
he leaves quickly as i get up and lock the door, grabbing a pair of dark blue jeans and a dark green cropped tank top.
i brush my hair out and put on mascara, and put on my white high top vans.
i grab my phone, wallet, airpods and some pads (just incase) and rush down the stairs.
"ready?"
"as ready as ever."

we pass by all the houses in this gated community, and apparently luke notices.
"it's pretty, right?"
"it is." i say, in kinda an awe. "it's gorgeous. sydney is pretty, but gosh is it beautiful here as well."
luke laughs softly, "wish you could live here, huh?"
you have no idea, luke.
i don't answer, and nothings else is said until we pull up to michaels home.
i got out of the car, and immediately hear a squeal.
"is that alexa i hear?!"
i gasp, turn to the front patio and there michael clifford is.
i jump, rushing into his arms and giving him the biggest hug ever.
"oh my gosh, you're so much taller! almost as tall as me, and my god has your hair grown."
i smile, touching my hair subconsciously.
"come on in, we've got everything."

it's gorgeous in here. michael introduced me to his amazing dogs, and i took some photos i'll definitely be posting later.
i step away for a second to grab a drink, but here my phone ringing.
fuck.
it's my dad.
"dad, hey." i mumble.
"alexa, you've been at jacks too long. come home, he's probably getting tired of you, you're needed at home." he says in a raspy voice.
"i'm, im not at jacks, dad?" i mumble even quieter.
does he not know?
"than come home from wherever you are, alexa hemmings."
"i'm not near home, dad." i clear my throat, "i'm at luke's."
there's a pause for a second where breathing isn't even heard.
"you're what."
"california, with luke."
"alexa georgia hemmings. your mother must be worried sick, im buying you a plane ticket right this instant."
"what? dad, no." i snap.
"excuse me?"
"mom knows."
another pause of silence, nothing is said and nothing is heard.
"fuck you, and fuck your mom."
