He couldn't believe it. How could he have been so stupid? Ladybug was going to murder him, if his fans didn't first.

What would all his friends think? More importantly, what would she think?

'Please be home, please don't be mad, please let me in.' He thought knocking rapidly on her trap door.

"Just a sec Alya, looks like we got a visitor." A familiar voice said, directly below him. She opened up the trap-door smiling widely. "Hey Kitty! I have Alya over right now, but you don't mind right?"

'She must not know.' He realized. He plastered on a fake smile. "Not at all!" He followed her into her room, where Alya was lounging on her chaise.

"You're in big trouble." She said not looking at him.

"I know."

"Nothing's going to be the same after this." Alya still wouldn't look up from her phone. Chat gritted his teeth.

"I know."

"So, what are planning on doing?" Alya sat up and clasped her hands together. "Now that everyone knows."

"Knows what?" Came the question from the girl who had pulled up her desk chair to the chaise. "Is this what was so urgent that you had to come over ASAP?" Marinette asked.

"You haven't seen the news, haven't you?" Alya said. Marinette shook her head.

"I got so caught up in designing, I haven't been on social media since I got home."

"That would explain your nonchalance." Alya remarked. She let out a long sigh and look up at Chat. "Do you want to tell her, or should I?"

"Just show her the video." He said, voice heavy.

"Chat what's wrong?" Marinette's voice was filled with concern. "What's going on?"

"Just watch this." Alya handed her her phone, "it will explain everything."

'My father is a despicable excuse for a human.' Chat thought bitterly as Marinette pressed play on the video that would haunt him for the rest of his life.

Chat still couldn't believe it. His father, his own father, was Hawkmoth. It had pained him when he found out and it had pained him more when he gave him an ultimatum. Give up his miraculous or have his identity exposed to the world. He had chosen the former option. His secret would be out, but at least his miraculous was still in his hands.

He needed to find Ladybug. She could give out miraculouses to their team and then they could go and defeat Hawkmoth, once and for all.

He heard a shriek, no doubt coming from Marinette. He knew why. Hawkmoth had figured out his identity because he had caught him on transforming on one of the newly installed Agreste mansion security cameras. That Adrien had forgotten about.

"What a pathetic person." Marinette sneered. This was his worst nightmare.

'Marinette hates me.' He thought glumly. 'This has got to be-'

"How could he do that to you?" The question was directed towards him and she had a certain amount of venom is her voice.

"He's Hawkmoth." He sighed.

"What?" Marinette asked, her heart breaking for her partner.

"See girl? That's what the big news was." Alya told her, slipping her phone into her pockets. "I'll leave you two be. See you at school." Alya then exited the room.

Chat wished that she had stayed. Then maybe he wouldn't have to face Marinette's fury alone.

"Mari I'm so sorry, he didn't give me a choice." He pleaded

"Shut up." She growled. His ears drooped down. "I can't believe him. He's the one how should be say sorry, not you." She told him, her voice low and dangerous. Nevertheless, her words cheered him up.

"You're not mad?" He asked cautiously.

"I'm pissed." She told him and his ears drooped. "But, not at you." He turned to face her. He still on her bed and she was sitting on her desk chair by her chaise. She smiled at him. "Come here Kitty, you deserve some cuddles." She told him in a soft voice.

He made his way towards her and she stood up, opening her arms. As soon as they touched, he melted. All of his barriers broke and he started sobbing.

"Shhhh it's okay, Adrien." Marinette told him, running his fingers through his hair.

"I'm so sorry." He sobbed, burying his face into the crook of her neck.

"It's okay, Kitty, really." She comforted him.

"I just don't understand how he could do something like this." He sobbed into her shoulder.

"I don't get it either, but he'll be brought in by the police sooner or later. I mean, you know his identity now, so you can easily get him arrested."

"I know." He voice was heavy.

"But you don't want him too?" Marinette asked hesitantly. She wouldn't blame him if he didn't he was still his father.

"No, no, I want to turn him in. Trust me, Mari, that man is not my father. My father left the day my mother did."

"Oh minou." Marinette tightened her grip on him.

"It's just heartbreaking," his voice cracked on heartbreaking, "because if my father's Hawkmoth then Nathalie is probably Mayura. My family or what I thought was my family never cared about me at all." He said sobbing. Marinette stroked his hair softly. "I have anywhere to go, I don't know what to do. I feel so lost. I-"

"Chat Noir." Marinette said gently, cutting off his rant. "You can stay here."

"W-what?" He asked, finally looking at the girl.

"Stay here. My family loves you and I'm sure they'll be happy to have you stay here."

"Marinette, I can't do that. I'd hate to be a bother."

"You won't be I promise. I'd be worried sick if you didn't stay."

"Thank you, Princess. Do you really think your parents will let me?"

"I'm sure of it." Her voice sounded so determined, it warmed Chat's heart. "You can hide out here for a while, okay?" She wiggled out of his embrace.

"Okay, where are you going?" He asked her, she gave him a large smile.

"To get us some snacks of course! And to ask my parents if you can stay, but don't worry they'll say yes."

"Thank you for everything, Marinette."

"Of course! I wouldn't be a very good friend if I didn't help you out." With that she disappeared.

"There's nothing we can do, Tom." Marinette heard her mother say as she walked down.

"It's just so wrong." Marinette rarely saw her father mad, but now he was a ball of rage. "His own son! His own son! Sabine there's gotta be a way-." Marinette cleared her throat.

"Hi sweetie." Her mother gave her a small uneasy smile.

"Maman, Papa, I have a favor to ask of you." She said nervously.

"Okay, what it is sweetheart?" Her father asked her. She took a deep breath.

"ChatNoirdoesn'thaveaplacetostayanymoresoIwaswonderingifhecouldstayhereplease?" She said closing her eyes awaiting for the verdict.

"You want Adrien to stay here?" Tom asked her.

"Please?" She begged. "He's one of my best friend's and Chat Noir has saved my life so many times."

Tom and Sabine exchanged glances with one another.

"Okay." Sabine said smiling.

"Really?" Marinette's smile grew so wide, it started to hurt. Tom nodded.

"Really. That's what we were discussing before you came down. If there was anything to do to help the poor boy."

"Oh thankyouthankyouthankyouTHANKYOU!" Marinette jumped up and down and went to go hug her parents. "Oh um one last thing." She smiled nervously, wondering how they're going to react.

"Yes?" Sabine asked patiently.

"He's um actually here right now so..." Marinette told them nervously. To her surprise, Tom laughed heartily.

"Oh we know! We could hear him on the roof." He said winking. Marinette's face became hot as she thought of all the time's Chat supposedly "snuck in".

"O-oh! Um, cool, well I promised him I'd get some snacks so..."

"That boy is too thin." Sabine commented. "We'll make sure he's actually able to eat properly." She moved into the kitchen and started pulling out all sorts of snacks. Putting them on a plate, she handed the to Marinette. "Here."

"Thanks Maman. He'll be ecstatic." Marinette pecked her mother's cheek. She headed up the stairs and opened up the trapdoor. "I'm back!" She called.

"Hey Princess." Chat Noir was still transformed, lounging on her chaise.

"Hey. Guess what?" She asked smiling.

"What?"

"My parents said yes!" Marinette exclaimed happily.

"Really they did?" His eyes shown like a little kid's on Christmas. Marinette nodded. Chat stood up, walked over to her, and wrapped his arms around her waist, burying his head in her neck. "Thank you."

"It's m-my p-pleasure." Her stutter was starting to come back as the news slowly registered in her mind. "OHMYGOD ADRIEN!" She screamed. Chat let go of her immediately.

"Yes?" He asked. She put the plate of snacks down and looked at him with wide eyes.

"Adrien." She whispered. He gave her a cat-nip eating grin.

"Yes? That's my name."

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry." She said as she wrapped her arms around him.

"It's not your fault, I don't know what motivated him-." He said hugging her back.

"That's not what I was talking about." She whispered gripping him tighter.

The adrenaline she had been running on was slowly running out. She had been pre-occupied in making sure her kitty would be okay she hadn't really registered what his identity meant for their relationship.

"Then what were you talking about?"

"The rejections." She told him. His body tensed and he put a little room in between them.

"What rejections? You've never rejected me." He asked her confused. He was still holding her, but it was looser than before.

"Not as Marinette." She muttered. "I can't believe I rejected my partner, for my partner." She let out a breathless laugh.

"Part...ner?" Chat asked. "What do you-" The revelation hit him like a train. Marinette giggled and bit her lip nervously.

"Surprise?" She squeaked out. He nodded looking at her wide-eyed.

"You can't be! You were Multimouse! I saw you and Ladybug in the same place at the same time." Marinette frowned and looked down sadly.

"You're disappointed. I knew this was a bad idea." She blinked away her tears.

"WHAT NO!" Chat exclaimed pulling her closer to him. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm NOT disappointed. I could never be disappointed. I'm in denial right now because it's too perfect."

"What do you mean?" She asked. Chat put his forehead on hers.

"You and Ladybug. I don't have to choose. You're the same person. It sounds too good. The two people who I love, the two people who I'm torn against, are the same." He let out a joyous laugh. He pulled her closer, nearly crushing her.

"L-love?" She stuttered against his chest.

"Oh um, yeah." He told her awkwardly. "Is that um, is that okay?" Marinette nodded quickly.

"Yeah! It's totally okay! It's better than ok!" She told him excitedly.

"Really?" He asked smiling.

"Yeah, I love you too, Silly Kitty." He picked her up and spun her around. His laughs blending with her screams of exhilaration.  "Put me down!"

"No! Never!" He called. "I just found my Bugaboo and you think I'm going to let you go?"

"I can't breathe!" She said. He let her go immediately.

"Sorry! I got way to excited!" He told her.

"It's fine Kitty Cat." She said ruffling his hair affectionately.

"So, uh, when did you fall for me?" He asked.

"Well, it's a funny story actually." She told him nervously. He sat down on the chaise and she sat besides him.

"Go ahead, Princess."

"So, you know how I rejected you as Ladybug?" She asked.

"Yeah, it's kinda hard to forget." He gave her a half-hearted smile.

"I'm so sorry. The reason I rejected you as Ladybug is because I already liked somebody else."

"Don't remind me." He muttered.

"That somebody else was you."

"What?" He whirled around to face her.

"I rejected Chat because I liked Adrien." She told him. He tackled her.

"Oh my gosh that's great!" He told her happily.

"It's crazy! I rejected you for you."

"So wait, did you ever fall for Chat?" He asked and Marinette nodded, blushing. He hugged her tighter. "When?"

"I don't know exactly. It was a slow fall. I just realized one day that I liked you and that I had for quite some time." She said, petting him softly.

"Wow." He said softly enjoying her warmth, her words, the sensation of her hands in his hair.

"What about you? When did you start liking Marinette?"

"I've always had a tiny crush on you Mari, I was just so in love with Ladybug that I didn't realize it."

"Oh." Her voice had a hint of disappointment in it.

"But, I eventually saw past Ladybug and started to realize my feelings for you. I was still torn however. Although, if I'm being honest I prefer the Marinette side of you. It seems more human." He told her smiling warmly.

"I like Chat Noir better, he seems less fake." She pecked his cheek.

"He is. He didn't have to put up with his father's wishes, at least, he didn't use to." The comment brought reality crashing back on them.

"I'm sorry chaton. We'll figure this out I promise." Marinette told him. Chat nodded. "It's us against the world, remember?" She told him softly. "It'll be okay."

She was right, it would be okay. Because he had her and she had him and that's all he needed.

I am very con-Gabriel. He is a terrible father and is only doing things for himself. I like to thing that he was a lot different before Emilie slipped into her cometic state and that her being gone had a lot of negative mental impact on him that nobody knew about. I feel like he would give up his son's identity in a heartbeat, I mean we saw what he did in Chat Blanc. I won't go into specifics if you haven't seen that episode yet. Anyway, vote and comment if you've enjoyed! Bye!                                                                                                                                                                    -Colorado
