Hello! This is not May 24, 2020 Colorado talking to you. This is April 24, 2021 Colorado talking to you. I have decided to re-write the second half of this one-shot because I really hated the old one. For those of you who read the old one, I'm so sorry. For those of you who haven't, don't worry, you didn't miss anything. The spelling errors are purposeful. Vote and comment if you've enjoyed!                                                                                                                                                         -Colorado

Adrien Agreste loved being Chat Noir. Being a superhero gave him freedom, an adrenaline rush, he got to meet Ladybug, and gain a strong friendship with Marinette! Yeah, being Chat Noir was great.

This, was not.

It had all started two weeks ago, when Marinette walked in on Chat Noir batting away at a red string while she was getting pastries for them.

"Chat, what are you doing?" Marinette asked him snorting.

"I-I don't know." He said dropping the ball of yarn that he was playing with.

"Were you playing with that yarn?" She asked.

"M-maybe?" Chat gave her an uneasy smile.

"You dork." Marinette laughed.

"It's because of my miraculous Princess. I'm not like this out of the mask." He defended herself.

"Uh huh." She gave him a smirk that told her that his words went in through one ear and out the other.

"It's true!" Chat protested.

"I never said it wasn't."

"Your face said it all." Chat grumbled.

"Aw, is my kitty upset?" Marinette reached out and ran her fingers through his hair.

"Yes." He pouted, leaning into her touch.

"Aw I'm sorry mon chaton." She scratched his ears and he let out a purr.

"Hey!" Chat yelled bucking away from her. Marinette cackled so hard she fell backwards onto her chaise. "Marinette!" He scolded burying his head in his hands.

"Sorry, I couldn't help myself." She gave him a smile and he sighed.

"I hate these cat tendencies." He muttered.

"I don't!" Marinette chirped cheerfully.

"Yeah," Chat scoffed" because it give you ammo." He said, somewhat bitterly.

"That's only part of it." Marinette told him and he turned to look up at her. "Sure, it's fun to tease you about it, but honestly?" Her cheeks were dusted pink, but he couldn't figure out why. "I think it's adorable."

His heart pounded in his chest. He was so grateful he had a friend like Marinette who never judged him.

"Thanks Mari."

"You're welcome." Her soft smile turned into a devious smirk. "I wonder how cat nip would affect you."

"Marinette!"

"What? I'm just saying! It'd be funny!"

"It'd be like I'm high." Chat wrinkled his nose in disgust.

"It'd be hilarious!" Marinette cackled.

"You and I have very different definitions of hilarious."
