Later that day, about five minutes before noon, a limo pulled up to the tunnel that led us to Uma's ship. At first, I was confused, but when Jay and Carlos jumped out of the limo, my confusion went away. However, it returned again when a girl jumped out of the limo too.
"I'll go get the swords," she said, going towards the back of the limo.
"Who's she?" I asked, not realizing I had spoken aloud.
"That's Lonnie, she's Mulan's daughter," Evie said as the girl- Lonnie- walked back to the front of the limo with the swords.
"Do you have the wand?" Mal asked.
Carlos turned his attention from a dog to Mal. "Yeah, here."
Mal held the wand and admired it. "What a beauty. It looks almost exactly like the real one. Great job."
"Hey, not to burst anyone's bubble, but it's noon," I said. "Are we ready?"

"You were always quite the drama queen," Mal smirked.
"Oh yeah, and nothing too big or else Ben is fish bait," Uma said, uncrossing her arms and placing them on her hips instead.
"Okay," Mal said before looking around. Her eyes found the dog that Carlos was talking to earlier and she smiled. "Although it seems absurd, turn your bark into a word."
Everyone went quiet, waiting for the dog to speak.
"Talk, dog!" Mal whisper-yelled.
"Does this vest make me look fat?" the dog asked, causing everyone to erupt into laughter.
"Give me the wand!" Uma yelled, holding her hand out for the wand.
"Give me Ben!" Mal said, holding the wand away from Uma.
"Harry, bring him over," Uma ordered.
As Harry brought Ben over to Uma, Gil decided now was a good time to ramble to Ben.
"Before you go, tell your mom that Gaston says hi and tell your dad that my dad wishes he'd finished off your dad when he had the chance," Gil babbled.
"That's enough, Gil," I said.
Gill shrugged me off as Uma gave Harry the order to cut Ben loose.
"I never get to have any fun," Harry fake complained, using his sword to cut Ben's ropes and let him go.
"Ben, go!" Mal shouted as she handed Uma the fake wand.
Once the wand was in Uma's hand, she smiled and pointed it up to the sky. "By the power of the sea, tear it down and set us free!" Uma waited for something to happen and, when nothing did, she turned to Mal with a fire in her eyes. "No! You do not get to win every time! Get them!"
