LISA
Seulgi and I decided to return and eat with our friends after our conversation. The playful Seulgi has returned and continues to tease me.
"Lisayah, I'll help you with Jennie tonight." She says, smirking at me.
"Don't bother my friend, you know she's already taken," I told her. "I'm still sad about it, but I can't do anything because I don't want Jennie to ruin her relationship with Mino because of my selfishness. All that matters now is that we enjoy our time together."
"Lisayah, for once in your life, fight for your feelings for her because if she likes you too, you'll regret it forever." Seulgi said, pouting. I will consider it, but I just shake my head at her.
When we arrived at the dining hall, we sensed our friends' gloomy mood. "What's with the long face, everyone?Do you dislike the food?" I asked, then Seulgi and I sat next to Jungkook and Taehyung. I'd like to sit next to Jennie, but she's already between Joy and Jisoo unnie.
"Lalisa, we love the food, it's all delicious. Thank you so much, but we're just worried about Jennie, she looks so pale after returning from the restroom." Joy said.
I didn't notice Jennie wasn't looking well when we arrived, so I got up and went straight to her. I touch her face with my both hands and examine her face intently to see if she is pale, but her eyes are not looking at me.
"Hey Nini, look at me, are you okay?" I asked, growing concerned for her.
When her gaze fell on mine, tears started to form in her eyes, then suddenly she looks away.
"Nini, look at me, are you sick?" I try to hold her face again, but she shoves my hands away. She stood up and wiped her tears.
"Guys, maybe I'm just tired from the trip. Don't worry about me. I'm just going to rest in my room." Jennie said to our friends without looking at me.
"Nini, I'll go with you." I told her.
"N-no." Her voice is stuttered. Is she upset with me?
"But Nini." I said with a pleading voice.
"No, Lisa. I can handle myself, and you haven't even eaten your food." She said and walked away. Jisoo unnie grabs my hand as I'm about to follow Jennie.
"Leave her alone for now Lisa. When she feels better, she'll join us." Jisoo unnie told me.
Jennie's mood is completely unpredictable today. What's really going on with her? I couldn't understand her anymore, and I'm starting to feel worried for her.
I returned to my seat, and Seulgi and I ate our meals while the others chatted again. After we finished eating, some of our friends went back to their rooms to rest, while others decided to go sightseeing.
As for me, I went back to my room to rest for a while, but I couldn't sleep well because I was still thinking about Jennie. So I went to her room to see if she was all right. I knocked on her door but received no response.
"Nini, are you there?" I asked again, after a few seconds she unlocked the door and opened it. Jennie didn't greet me and instead returned to her bed.
I followed her and sat beside her bed. When I look at her, her eyes are closed.
"Nini, are you still feeling dizzy? Do you want me to get you some medicine for that?" I asked, touching her arm, but she suddenly moved it away.
"I'm fine now, Lisa, and I'll be out later to join you all." She said, her eyes still closed.
"I'm glad you're feeling better now, Nini. I don't want you to miss the bonfire tonight." I told her.
"Don't worry, I'm going." She says as she opens her eyes and sits. Her eyes appear puffy, possibly because she fell asleep.
"Nini, is it okay if me and the others drink tonight? I promise we'll drink moderately." I said to her.
"Do whatever you want Lisa, it's your life." She said flatly, not looking at me.
I'm so confused now because before, if I asked her permission to drink, she would rant on me until I decided not to drink anymore, but now she talks to me as if she doesn't care what I do with my life.
"Nini, tell me, is there something wrong?" I asked, looking at her intently, but she stood up and walked towards the window. Her face was expressionless, so I went to her side and hugged her. I'm glad she didn't push me away this time.
"Nini, tell me what's going on. Don't push me away. Do you have a problem? You can tell me everything." I sincerely said to her.
She's now looking at me intently after hearing what I've said to her. Then her eyes well up with tears.
"Yes, Lisa, I can tell you everything. I can always tell you everything." Jennie said without breaking our gaze.
"What's the matter?" I asked.
"You-" Before Jennie can finish her sentence, the lovers barge in.
"Jendeukie." "Jen." Jisoo and Rosé said. These two have an uncanny ability to interrupt our moments. Then Jennie moved away from my embrace and sat back down in bed. I just sigh when I see them.
"Jendeukie! Are you okay now? Your door is unlocked, so we go inside to check on you. Oh Lalisa! you're here as well." Jisoo unnie said. I just nodded and Jennie excused herself to use the bathroom.
"Lalisa, what did you do to Jennie? Why is she crying?" Rosé asked.
"I'm not doing anything Rosie, other than checking on her and asking her if anything is wrong, then the two of you suddenly came." I said, disappointed.
"So we arrived at the wrong time." Jisoo unnie said..
"Yup, the two of you always interrupt us." I sighed.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Lisa." Rosé apologized.
"It's all right," I said. Then Jennie emerged from the bathroom, looking as if she had washed her face.
"I'm fine now, unnie. We can go out now. Where are the others?" Jennie inquired.
"Oh, that's why we're here as well. They just got back from the market and bought a lot of foods that we're going to eat at the bonfire later. We're going to ask if you want to join us to help prepare them for later." Jisoo unnie explained.
"They've already gone to the market, they're so unfair." I told them.
"Lalisa, Seulgi is going to ask you earlier to join them, but the others said you might be sleeping, so they went ahead without you." Rosé explained. I pout, and the two chuckled while Jennie continues to ignore me.
"Come on guys, let's go help them." Jennie said, going outside first, followed by Rosé. Jisoo unnie and I will also be following.
"The kitten is still in a bad mood." Jisoo unnie said quietly to me.
"Yup, unnie. I don't know what's wrong with her. It's as if she's mad at me again, but I'm not doing anything." I added quietly.
"Don't worry, Lisayah. My cousin might just be on her period." She chuckled. I pinch her on the side and motion for her to remain silent.
"Ouch!" Exclaimed Jisoo unnie. The other two then turned to face us.
"Are you all right, babe?" Rosé asked. I grab Jisoo unnie's shoulder and tickle her.
"She's fine, Rosie, we're just goofing around." I told her. Jennie rolled her eyes at me and continued on her way. Rosé did not bother us and continued to follow Jennie.
"You'll pay later, Lisayah." Jisoo unnie said.
"In your dreams." I laughed at her.
Then she leaned in close and whispered something into my ear. "Don't be angry with us Lalisa, I'll get my revenge later, but it will help you with Jendeukie." She laughs and runs away from me.
What's up with that Chicken's head, and then I chased her down.
