Mattia drops me off at my house. I get ready for the party. I put on some makeup and my hair was still curled from this morning so I left it like that. I packed makeup wipes, some clothes, a charger and some more stuff for Mattia's house. Then I put this *outfit on and it's about time to leave.
* (Luna's outfit for the party)
I wait downstairs for Mattia's car to pull up in front of my house. We are meeting the rest of the boys at the party. I walk out of my house and lock the house then get into Mattia's car.
"You look nice, are you excited." He asked me.
"Thanks. You look really good too. I'm not really excited." I said.
"Oh I'm sorry." He said.
"Don't worry about it. I'll be fine."
We got to the party. Mattia parked his car and we walked in. It reeked of weed and it was hot from how many people were inside.
"Damn Luna really showed up to a party. You look fine as hell." Noah said walking up to us.
"Um... Thanks." I said.
"Here's a drink." Noah said trying to hand me a red solo cup with alcohol in it.
"I don't drink." I declined.
"Oh come on... Live a little Luna." Noah said.
"No thank you."
"You got so uptight. I'll change that by the end of the night though." Noah laughed.
"Shut the fuck up." Mattia said.
I took Mattia's hand and walked away.
"Thanks for shutting him up." I said to Mattia.
"Of course." He said.
The boys came up to us.
"Luna!!!" Alvaro said.
"You look good Luna." Alejandro said.
"You do." Kairi agreed.
I gave them all hugs and thanked them.
"Mattia want a drink?" Alejandro asked him.
"No it's okay." He declined.
"Mattia just because I'm not drinking doesn't mean you don't have to. I don't wanna make you guys be my babysitter. Go have fun." I told them.
"You sure?" Mattia said.
"Yeah of course. I'm gonna find some girls from my volleyball team." I said walking away.
I saw my friend, Sierra. I started walking over to her and Elena walked in front if me with Caleb. I met Caleb freshman year and we started talking towards the end of freshman year. At a party in the beginning of sophomore year Elena and Caleb hooked up. Elena was my best (girl) friend. We met in middle school and we were so close. She knew that I really liked him. He knew she was my best friend. That situation really hurt me.
"Wow Luna, you actually decided to leave your house? That's wild." Elena said.
"Yeah super crazy." I said sarcastically trying to get past her.
"Did you know last week was our 1 year anniversary of being together!" She said looking at Caleb.
"Wow! You slept with the guy I liked one year ago! That's incredible!" I said walking away.
This night is already rough. People in my school suck. I walked over to Sierra. She noticed me and said,
"Yooo! Luna you look nice. This party is so fun. You wanna hit this?" She offered holding a joint.
"No thanks." I said.
"Damn okay. It's good bud but suit yourself." She said
I walked away and noticed an open couch so I went over at sat on it. I need air. All this smoke is making me anxious. My sister, Genevieve, is in rehab. She's 23. She has been in rehab for 2 years now. Seeing teens drink and do drugs just hurts me because it reminds me of my sister. It all just triggers me.
"Luna! I got you this black cherry White Claw. It's basically water." Noah said sitting uncomfortably close to me handing me a can of White Claw.
"I'm okay, thanks though." I told him.
"It's literally soda but okay." He said.
He put his arm around me and said,
"I'm so happy you came to my party. I feel so honored. You know you are like known for not going to parties?" Noah said slurring his words.
"Yeah I'm aware."
He sipped whatever was in his cup and he was getting handsy. He had his arm around me and he lowered it, grabbing my boob. I took his hand off of me and got up.
"Stop now please." I said.
"Chill Luna. Let's dance." He said getting up stumbling.
"I don't like to dance." I said walking away.
He grabbed the belt loop in my jeans and pulled me back towards him. He pulled me close to him and put his drink down. He started dancing on me and placed his hand on my ass. I tried to push him away from me but he was 6"2 and strong so I really couldn't do much.
"Luna let loose, I'm just trying to dance with you." Noah said.
"Noah seriously stop." I said sitting back down on the couch.
"You aren't much of a dancer I see." He said sitting down right next to me.
I cringed. I honestly didn't know what to do I knew this boy would just follow me. I started scanning the room looking for Mattia. I felt Noah slide his hand on my inner thigh. I tried to move his hand and get up but he grabbed my face and tried to kiss me. I pushed him off of me.
"Fuck you Noah! Are you stupid? Do you know what stop means?" I said getting up. I looked around the room I was in for one of the boys but they were no where to be found.
Noah started to get up. He was so drunk he had lost all of his coordination though. I saw Mattia and tried to push my way through all the people to get to him. I think he saw me because he was heading my way. Noah grabs my hand and grabs my ass again.
"Noah stop!" I yell at him and slap him.
"Chill the fuck out Luna!" He yells back.
Noah gets punched in the face and falls to the ground. I look around and it was Mattia who punched him. I sigh with relief. I was on the verge of tears. I get close to Mattia and look up at him and say,
"Can we please go?"
He sees my tears forming and grabs my hand and says,
"Yeah, of course. Let's go."
Mattia, holding my hand tightly, walked up to Alejandro because he was the only one we could find, said to him,
"Alejandro, I'm going back to my place with Luna. You and the rest of the boys can still come over but if you want a ride we are leaving now. So come or get a ride."
"What? Hell no Mattia stay with us." Alejandro said.
Mattia looked at him and motioned towards me. Alejandro looked at me and saw my eyes filled with tears and then realized.
"I'll get the boys. This party was kinda wack anyways." Alejandro said.
"We will be in the car." Mattia said walking me out of the party making sure I'm right by his side holding his hand. He opens the car door for me then shuts it for me. He gets in the drivers seat and starts his car. I told him everything from all of the drugs and alcohol, to what Elena said to me and the Noah forcing me to dance with him and touching me.
"I'm so sorry Luna. You didn't want to come in the first place. We should have listened. I should have stayed with you. I can't believe Noah did that to you." Mattia said getting mad, gripping the steering wheel very tightly.
"Mattia don't blame yourself. You knocked Noah out for me. Thank you." I said putting my hand on his arm trying to get him to relax his tight grip.
"I'm sorry." He said in a very sad tone.
He gets out his phone then plugs his phone into the aux. He starts to play "Nights" by Frank Ocean and looks at me with a slight grin.
I smile softly, "You know me so well."
This was my favorite song to listen to when I am sad. I closed my eyes and listened to the music. I leaned my seat back and felt Mattia's hand touch my thigh. I kept my eyes closed but put my hand on top of his. We waited for about 5 minutes for the guys and Mattia played more songs that I loved. The back door opened and I could hear the guys voices and Mattia started driving to his house. He kept his hand on my thigh the whole way there. The guys talked to eachother but I just kept my eyes closed. All I really wanted to do was shower and get into warm clothes. Mattia parked and I immediately walked out of the car and into his house.
(Mattia's pov)
I watched Luna get out of my car. I turned around to face the back seat to see all the guys confused faces.
"What is going on?" Asked Alvaro.
"The drugs and alcohol got her thinking about her sister and shit. Then Noah was being an ass and was all over her and wouldn't stop. Also Elena was with that guy she used to like. It all just got to her head and she's really upset. Can we all just chill and be there for her. She needs it right now." I told the boys.
"I'll beat Noah's ass. I'm serious let's go back." Alejandro said.
"Believe me I did then Luna asked me to leave." I said.
"Start the car." Kairi told me.
"Why?" I asked.
"We're getting her starbucks and her favorite snacks. I'll text her and let her know we will be back." Kairi said.
"That's a good idea." I said pulling back out of the driveway and driving to starbucks.
I ordered Luna a venti iced vanilla latte with almond milk. I also got drinks for the boys and I. Then we drove to Target since it was next to starbucks. We all went into Target. We went to the snack isle and got cheeto puffs, hot cheetos and sour patch kids. Those were Luna's absolute favorite snacks. I also got snacks for the guys and I. We were walking to the cash register and Alvaro saw these pink fuzzy pajama pants and said,
"Bro she would love these we should get them for her."
I nodded and said,
"She will. I'm gonna have no money left." I laughed.
"We will pay for our stuff Mattia don't worry." Kairi said.
"Thanks guys." I said.
Kairi texted Luna letting her know we went to the store and that we will be back quickly.
We checked out and went back to the car and drove back to my house. I pulled into my driveway, we all walked into my house and then we all went down to the basement. I threw a bunch of blankets onto our new huge couch. I turned on LED lights and threw the remote to Alejandro.
"I hear my shower running, I think Luna is taking a shower. I'm gonna go put the pajama pants on my bed for her." I told the guys and ran up to my room.
I put the pajama pants on my bed then put out one of my sweatshirts for her to wear. I went back downstairs and the boys and I watched the soccer game that was on.
(Luna's pov)
I turned off Mattia's shower and grabbed a towel. I walked out of his bathroom and into his room and saw the clothes laid out for me. Oh my gosh. They got me pink fuzzy pants! I love them so much. I put the pants on and Mattia's sweatshirt, hung up the towel, grabbed my phone and went down to the basement. The guys turned their heads when I walked down the stairs.
"Luna's looking good in those pants though!" Alejandro said.
I smiled a little and walked over to the couch and gave them all hugs.
"I love them thank you guys for going out to get them."
Mattia handed me my favorite starbucks drink and Kairi handed me a Target bag full of my favorite snacks.
"Stop! You did not! Oh my gosh!" I put down my drink and snacks on the coffee table and hugged all of them.
"Thank you. I love you all so much. I couldn't ask for better friends." I said sitting down next to Mattia and reaching for my drink.
"What do you want to watch Luna?" Kairi asked me.
"I'm fine with anything. You guys can keep your game on. Just nothing scary please i just wanna relax." I said putting a blanket over myself.
"Okay." Kairi said leaving the game on.
"Nah I'm gonna get all pissed watching soccer right now give me the remote." Alvaro said.
The guys laughed. Alvaro put on Deadpool. I sighed and laid down. Mattia motioned to his lap. I laid my head in his lap and he adjusted the blanket for me. Mattia played with my hair as we all watched the movie. I rested my hand on his thigh and felt my eyes getting heavy. I closed my eyes and started to fall asleep but I was abruptly woken up by my phone vibrating. I picked up my phone and looked at it. I got a snapchat from Noah.
"Fuck..." I whispered to myself.
"What?" Mattia said looking down at me.
"Nothing. It's nothing." I said sitting up and looking at my phone.
I opened Noah's snap and he said
"Why'd you leave, come back over."
I exhaled and just stared at his snap for a few solid seconds. Mattia leaned over trying to see my phone but I clicked the lock button and put it face down.
"Luna, what is it?" Mattia asked me.
"Don't worry about it." I said scooting back over to him and laying my head on his shoulder. He put his arm around me. My phone kept buzzing and I picked it up. It was another snap from Noah. I could see Mattia looking down at my phone too. I opened his snap and it said,
"I'm sorry for what I did tonight I was way too drunk. Come back over i'll make it up to you ;)"
Mattia say up and took my phone.
"Mattia!" I exclaimed and tried to pull my phone out of his hands but his grip was to hard.
The other guys looked over at us. Mattia showed them Noah's snaps.
"Block him Luna." Alejandro said in a serious tone.
"He's gonna try and take advantage of you." Kairi said.
"Tell him to fuck off." Alvaro said.
My phone vibrated again and it was Noah. Mattia opened it and his face got red. He was pissed. I leaned over and Noah's snap said,
"Why'd you even leave my party bitch? You think you are all that cause you have Mattia by your side following your every move. None of those guys are actually your friends you do know that right? They want you for your body and looks. But who could blame them."
When I read that my heart sunk. I looked at all of them and I felt my eyes tear up. I ran upstairs to Mattia's room and locked his door. I know that's rude to do since it's his house but I just needed to be alone. I couldn't take anything else tonight. I was at my breaking point. I sat on his floor holding my knees to my chest and I was just sobbing. But silently, I didn't want to wake the Polibio's up.
(Mattia's pov)
I read the snap Noah sent Luna and I could literally feel my body tense up and my face get hot. I showed the guys what Noah said and they all were furious.
"I'm going to his fucking house." Alejandro said standing up.
"Nah we need to check on Luna." I said standing up too.
"That's so fucked up. Does Luna believe that shit? We've all been friends since we were toddlers." Alvaro said.
"Nah, i've been friends with her since we were babies." I said.
"I know we are all mad as fuck. But you guys need to sit down. We aren't going to his house just calm down. You know if you are all mad like this you will stress Luna out even more. I'm gonna go check on her. Stay here! Watch the movie or something." Kairi said grabbing Luna's phone from my hands.
(Luna's pov)
I heard a knock at the door.
"Mattia go away." I said.
"It's Kairi." Kairi said.
I got up and opened the door. I walked back over to the floor and sat down. He sat down next to me.
"Noah is known to be an ass. Do not blame yourself for what he did to you. It's because he is fucked up and doesn't know how to treat such an amazing girl like you. Also do not believe a word he says. We have all been friends since we were 3 years old. We didn't even understand the ABC's back then we are not using you. I promise you that. You've known Mattia your entire life. You think he's using you? You are the light of his entire life. Do you know that? He loves you so much Luna I don't think you understand. He will do anything he can just to make you happy. He is no way shape or form using you at all. Mattia is your best friend and he genuinely cares about you. We all feel the same about you too. We would do anything for you Luna Not because of your looks or your body you are our friend and friends do anything for each other that's just what friends do. We love you for who you are. Block Noah or something, don't let him text you anymore." Kairi said to me.
I was crying even more. But this time it was out of joy. What he said made me forget any questioning I had about the boys loyalty to me. Kairi always has known how to make me feel better. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him very tightly. He hugged me back.
"I love you so much." I said still hugging him.
"I love you too, Luna."
I let go of him and wiped my tears off with the sleeve of Mattia's hoodie I was wearing.
"Let's go downstairs." Kairi said getting up and putting out his hand.
I reached for his hand and he helped me up from the floor. We walked back down to the basement together. I noticed Mattia was playing with his hair. He always does that when he is stressed or angry. I hopped onto the couch from behind it. I smiled at all of the boys. I felt their angry energy.
"I know our friendship is real. I know you all love me and care about me. And I love you all so much and would do anything for each and every one of you. Just reading that from Noah made me break down after everything that has happened tonight. You guys are my best friends and I wouldn't trade our friendship for anything ." I said.
Mattia exhaled.
Alejandro, Kairi and Alvaro were all smiling. I scooted over and hugged each of them. They each said I love you. Then I looked over at Mattia again.
"Mattia. Relax. Breathe." I said sitting down next to him.
I look out my phone and showed the boys me blocking Noah.
"Good job." Alvaro said.
"Thank god." Alejandro and Kairi said.
I smiled at them.
"Turn on that soccer game. Unless Alvaro is gonna get stressed." I said laughing.
Alejandro turned on the soccer game that was on and I shifted my body towards Mattia. He was still tense. I rubbed his thigh for a little bit then I put my hand on the back of his neck and lightly scratched his hair.
"Are you okay?" I asked him putting my hand back on his thigh.
He shrugged.
"What's up, Mattia."
"I just hate that I let this night be so bad for you. We should have stayed home like you wanted to." He said, frustrated.
"Mattia everything happens for a reason. It is not your fault. If anything you made it better. You punched Noah, you took me out of the party, you drove me back here and made sure I was safe. You did everything you could have and i'm so grateful for what you did for me tonight. Noah is just an ass and so is Elena there is no changing that."
"I hate what he said. I'm not using you." Mattia said looking at me with pain in his eyes.
"Mattia I know you aren't. I just broke down because I was so stressed and angry from this entire night. I never questioned our friendship." I told him.
"Okay." He said looking back at the TV.
I scooted closer to him and wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him.
"I love you so much Mattia." I said.
I felt him relax and exhale.
"I love you more Lulu." He said back.
I curled up next to him and he put a blanket over us and I immediately fell alseep.
(Author's Note: In Mattia's basement the couch is really big and I was picturing it this. It's just a really big couch that fits a bunch of people so they all slept on it in this story)
