Hannah.
Her name circles my mind, searching for possibilities on why would she ever take up this job.
"what the fuck are you doing here?" I ask.
"same as what you are doing" she says with a fake smile.
"why?"
"there's a hell lot of money... So why would I refuse such a great offer"
"how did you even know?"
"I knew from the very beginning there was something real shady about you. Never expected you to be the one doing this job"
"don't you dare fucking tell anyone about this"
"you mean... Don't tell amber?" she smirks.
"or.. Why she gonna leave you for doing thus dirty business?" he fake pouts.
"shut the fuck up Hannah... And I swear to God you tell her anything about this, I am gonna ruin your life"
"oh please caiden, like I don't have anything better to do than go snitch to your pretty lady"
"argh...hannah let's just get this over with, let's go" I say and wave over to the car.
She walks up and I open the door for her and he gets in. I circle to the driver's side and get in.
"still the same manners I see"
"how... About we just don't talk the whole drive"
"urgh... Such a boomer" she huffs.
After atleast 30 minutes we reach out destination, I pass on the keys to the staff and open the door for Hannah. She takes my hand and steps out fixing her dress.
We enter the luxurious mansion her arm around my arm. I try to take out my arm from hers. But she pulls back and whispers
"we need to act like a couple.. Ortherwise our cover will blow off"
"who even said you that?"
"boss.. Duh, didn't your dad tell you all this?" she asks with a question.
"actually, he dint fucking tell me. So please be my guest Hannah"
"okay... So in the guest list, it's Mr and Mrs Anderson, and we have a package of pick up from a dude wearing a green coat and blue pants. The package comes in a small pouch. We get that say goodbye to all and leave. Done " she says with a smile.
"fine.. Let's just get this over with and don't fuck this up"
She rolls her eyes we enter the party, wide smiles on our face.
We meet and greet some people that seem familiar and I keep a searching, eye out for a dude in green coat.
A waitress walks over to offering me champagne, I take a glass and search for Hannah around the ballroom.
I see her talking to an aged man wearing lots of gold rings and chains, Hannah seductively running her hand over his shoulders, I walk over to them without her letting mess up this delivery.
"hey, beautiful" i say in the most approving manner.
"hey, there caiden"
"how about we go for a walk hun?" I say eying the man next to her.
"oh, okay, see you later Mr. West" she winks and leaves.
I grab her by her arm and move her to a side.
"what the fuck are you doing Hannah?"
"being social, what do you think?"
"yeah, how about no. We just came here to get out package and leave."
"yeah, if that all we do that'll make us more suspicious, so just be free and chill"
"okay, fine"
"wait caiden, behind you in the right, a man dressed in a green coat"
I turn back and see the man.
"okay, I'll go get the package just Stay normal and just.... Just Be here"
"alright" she rolls her eyes.
I make my way through the party, and towards the man.
"hello" I say.
"hello?"
"yeah, umm PCK FOR D" I say to the man.
The code word I was supposed to use to receive the package.
"ah, Mr caiden right?!" the man exclaims.
"yes, and I think you know why I'm here for" I say with a small chuckle.
"ah,yes. Yes. Right away." he says and hands me a small pouch and drops it in my hand.
I quickly take it and shove it in my pocket. Looking around to see if anyone saw us. But thankfully everyone was busy in the party.
"thanks, sir. I'll go on my way now"
"yes, and say hello to dyer from my side" he says and leaves.
I walk up to Hannah who is busy talking to some ladies, wearing chothes which show too much skin for a party outfit.
"hey babe" she calls on to me.
"hey, Hannah.its getting late. Let's head out eh?" I ask her poliety so she'd get my message that our work here is done.
"oh my God, is that your husband ?" on of the girl with platinum blonde hair asks eyeing me from top to bottom.
WTF, I feel insecure now.
"yes, babe caiden say hello to, titty, Trixie and caty" Hannah says with a smile.
these women got names that sound like a strippers name.
Now I know why they dress like one.
"hello, ladies" I smile back and the girls begin to giggle and bat their lashes at me.
"I think it's time for us to go, and it's a long drive back home, so" I say.
"oh, not to worry you love birds, I have an idea" the platinum blond one says.
She scurries off somewhere and I look at Hannah to bid goodbye to the rest.
As we walk towards the exit a call of my name stops our tracks.
"caiden, Hannah!" the platinum blond one says whose name I guess is titty.
"yes? " I ask.
"I have just spoken to my husband, and he owns this hotel. And we are giving you the golden suite to stay the night. I you don't have to take that long drive anymore.
" no thank you miss. I really appreciate it but it would be better if we take out leave."
"oh come on, Hannah tell him. You all will get some time alone too"
"I think it's okay caiden let's leave sharp early tomorrow, but it did get late now and the road is not safe at this time."
I fume with anger as Hannah says this, I just wanted to get this over with, not spend an entire night here.
"alright" I say in defeat and walk our way to the reception to get our pass key.
I fucking hate this.
The only name circling my mind, was amber.
I want to go home, amber is my home.
I can't inform her or even talk to her.
She must be worried sick.
WTF is wrong with me? Why didn't I inform her?
