Hello Everyone!
I have been so excited for this part to finally come out because this is where the fanfics really start moving away from the actual show.
I hope I didn't scare you off with that last sentence, so thanks if you are still with me. The fanfic is still 100% Miraculous Ladybug with the Marichat ship right at the front (though there is some Adrienetting), so do not worry. The plot is different though from the show because as my friends and I were fan theorizing at the end of season 2, I started to get a grasp of the background of Gabriel and Emilie (at least in the sense of this is what should happen). Season 3 has though debunked some things in this fanfic, but I hope you all still enjoy it. This fanfic is also essential to the fanfics coming up because it has more than a few key plot points that will change the story, at least for this fan filled saga.
A couple WARNINGs too, before we begin. One, this all was thought up before season 3, so not everything matches up with current episodes. Two, in the show (Christmas Special), it says Adrien's mom died a year ago. That might be true for the show, but not for this fanfic since it didn't fit for how the story was working. Three, the story begins in present day, but once the diary is found it switches to flashbacks from Emilie's point of view. My editors (friends) had complaints about it, so I just wanted to clear the whole thing up. Also, this is the 6th Fanfic in the series, and though some important things happen in precious fanfics, you don't necessarily have to read them to follow this one.
But, before we dive right in, I would like to give all credit for the original characters and show to the one and only Thomas Astruc. I would like to thank the artists who inspired me as I was looking through pintrest, and if a picture is the source of a scene, I'll make sure to put it at the beginning of the chapter.
