About 5 minutes ago Riley finished doing my makeup, specifically my eyeshadow. She had applied a combination of gold and bronze onto my eyelids and it looked incredible with my dress that was golden and shiny.
My maid had left me to do finishing touches while I waited for the prince to arrive.

My dress was tight on the chest but flowed outwards in shiny golden layers, glitter like sparkles all along the material.

I was finishing weaving a golden leaf headband into my hair that was in a crown braid when a knock came at the door.

"Hold on." I said as I quickly checked myself in the mirror, applying a clear lip gloss onto my dry lips.

I quickly slipped on my heels and went to answer the door.
Prince Thomas stood waiting patiently outside my room, a white rose in his hands.
When he noticed I opened the door he looked up and smiled, taking in my outfit.

"Wow, Bells, you look gorgeous." He said, handing me the flower he held. His suit was a dark blue and he had a lighter blue shirt underneath.

That white rose. The same flower I had in my hair on our first date.

I took the rose from him and smiled, "Thank you."
I turned and closed the door to my room.

Thomas then took my hand and used it to guide me in a circle, showing off the shiny golden dress that I loved.

"I'm beginning to think every colour suits you." He says with a genuine smile.

I couldn't control the blush that spread over my cheeks at his compliments. He was too perfect.

He extended his elbow out to me and I linked my arm with his so we could start walking to the elevator.

"Where are we going tonight?" I ask as we step into the elevator and point to the buttons for each floor.
I hover over 3 and 4 because I know we will probably be going somewhere on those levels.

Prince Thomas takes my hand and leads my finger up to the top button, pushing it lightly so it flicks to orange on the rooftop level. I grin curiously up at him. He's full of surprises.

"I thought a nice rooftop date would be romantic. I gathered you were the romantic sort." Thomas says as I turn around to face him and I nod my head eagerly in agreement.

"You're very thoughtful." I say as I hold his hands and lean into his chest, not realising we arrived at the rooftop floor.

"Bells, turn around."

Thomas turns me slowly and I want to squeal at the site. A candle lit dinner underneath the stars awaits us, fairy lights set up along the balcony and flower petals scattering the ground.

"Wow." I say, stepping out of the elevator and letting my eyes take in the scene.

It's so special I love it.

"This is amazing Tom, did you do this yourself?" I ask, turning to see him watching me with a smile, his hands in his pockets.

He nods, seeming bashful, "Yeah. Do you like it?"

"Of course I do."

I had to give it to him, this was pretty damn perfect.

"Why don't we take a seat, I had some dessert brought up." Thomas offers and I grin, maybe he knows I'm a sweet tooth.

I let the prince pull my chair out as he offers and he makes sure I'm comfortable before he sits opposite me, such a gentlemen.

The table has candles and flowers and is decorated perfectly. I'm sure if I showed my friends back home this they would probably demand I marry him.

Prince Thomas lifts up the lid from the plate to reveal the most amazingly decorated chocolate cake.
It had drips of melted chocolate down the side and chocolate shards in milk and dark across the top. Plus the whole cake was coated in chocolate shavings.

"That looks delicious." I say.

"Here, I'll get you some." The prince starts to cut some slices up for us and it looks like mud cake inside.

I'm basically salivating as he puts a plate in front of me before getting some for himself.

"A nice big slice."

"Thank you." I say, waiting for him to get some for himself before I enjoy a spoonful. It's like heaven in my mouth, "Mmm."

"There's more where that came from if your still hungry." Thomas says with a laugh, taking a bite himself, as I close my eyes and enjoy the chocolatey flavour.

"Oh my god marry me." I blurt out.

Suddenly it's not funny and I shoot my eyes open, looking to see Thomas has awkwardly stopped laughing.
"I didn't mean it like that." I say in a whisper and Thomas nods knowingly as he sits with his cake.

"Isabelle, I know." He says and avoids eye contact as he eats his cake too.

I want to slam my hand against my head for not thinking before I spoke. I'll blame it on the period hormone.

"It is a nice cake." Prince Thomas says, trying to pass the fact of what I said, but I can't get over it.

I nod, feeling awkward.

He tilts his fork in my direction, "Not as good as your baking though I'm afraid."

I smile my thanks, then trying to change the topic, "So that dance teacher says everyone already there knew how to dance? Is it compulsory?" I ask and Thomas seems eager to talk about dance now too.

He nods, "All members of the royal family must learn all the common dances, majority of the important ballroom ones that are done at events. But a lot of the guards learn also to help out. It's a break from their routine that they enjoy." He explains as we nibble on our cake.

"Dancing's fun, I used to do ballet as a kid. As a young girl seeing professional ballerinas, I wanted to be just like them." I say and I look up to see Thomas listening fully to what I'm saying.

"That's cool. I thought you must of had some kind of lessons, not a lot of people pick up ballroom very quickly." The prince says as he leans over to give me some more cake since I polished off the first slice.

"Well ballets not exactly the same, but I suppose it helps. Even if I haven't been at the barre in 6 years."

"You seem to have a lot of talents."

"Hmm. I'm terrible at math. Any gardening I've ever tried to do has ended up with a bunch of dead plants. Oh and my only artistic ability is stick figures, so nowhere near the painting you do."

"I'll have to remember this, just in case I hear anyone else claim you can do it all."

"Who've you been talking to?"

"No one. You just impressed everyone with your dancing today."

"I think it was mainly Prince Archie leading that made us do well." I say honestly.

"He's always been one to show off. I only hope he was being nice to you, my cousin is not known for his subtlety or decorum."

"He was pleasant enough to dance with I suppose. Although I'd have to admit, I much preferred you as my partner for that last one." I say.

Looking up to Thomas I see it was the right thing to say, because his eyes lit up with gratitude.

I finish off my cake and wipe my mouth, watching as Thomas stands up. He extends his hand out to me.

"How about another dance my lady?"

I smile and put my hand in his, allowing him to help me up. The prince is prepared for this, a small speaker for music that he quickly hits play on.

Best Part by Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. begins to play softly and I'm glad he chose it because I like this song.

Prince Thomas puts a hand on my waist and hold my hand tightly with his other.
I go to move the hair from my face but Thomas beats me to it, brushing it softly behind my ear and leaving tingles across my skin.

When you hold me...and kiss me slowly...it's the sweetest thing

We sway to the beat and Thomas continues to smile at me.
I sigh and rest my head on his shoulder, smiling into the material of his suit.

I listen to the lyrics, smiling as the song refers to the coffee that I need in the morning, because it reminds me of Tom's gift.

It's so romantic, under the clear, star filled night sky, swaying to the tune of the music.

I lift my head and look into Thomas's green eyes, that are fixed on mine. I let go of Thomas's hand so that I can wrap both of mine around his neck, feeling a little flushed at our proximity.

Thomas guides his hands to my waist and holds me close to him.

"Thank you for this Tom." I whisper so softly he might have missed it but he just smiles.

"Anything for you Bells."

Then I lean in and press my smile to his, his soft lips caressing my own. And as his hands tighten on my hips to hold me close I know he can feel the connection too.

Now I'm falling for him so fast I can't see anything else around me.
