Narrator:Takeo has become commander of Azur Lane, but he still has to know the basics of being a commander.
Enterprise:"Ok, let's get the most important thing out there."
Takeo:"Yeah?"
Enterprise:"None of us are gonna follow your orders."
Takeo:"Huh...wait, what?!?! Then what's the point of being a commander?!"
Enterprise:"We aren't gonna follow your orders...yet."
Takeo:*Sigh* "You could've said that first."
Enterprise:"You have to earn the ships' certificates."
Takeo:"Certificates?"
Enterprise:"Yeah, it's like claiming a piece of property, the have to give you their certificate, then they are yours to command."
Takeo:"Gotcha...ok, so I just have to ask for certificates? That's kind of messed up that I have to own you girls, isn't it?"
Enterprise:"We don't mind. We have no choice but to work for you."
Takeo:"Ok..."
Enterprise:"Also, no need to ask for now, cause I've got a couple of volunteers."
Takeo:"Volunteers?"
Enterprise:"They asked me to be the new commander's first fleet."
Takeo:"Ok, let's see them."
Enterprise:"Ok."
*Enterprise opens the door and four girls enter the office, two of them are familiar*
Enterprise:"We have made allies with all the regions of battleships, from the Royal Navy to the Sakura Empire, to the Iris Libre."
Takeo:"So that's why I don't recognize her."
*I point towards the girl with short blondish hair, and purple eyes*
Takeo:"And you're part of..."
???:"Ironblood Navy, Z23 of the Narvik class, sir!"
Takeo:"You're name is Z23?"
Z23:"Correct."
Takeo:"So...the Ironblood navy...oh."
*Takeo spots the Z23's hair accessory*
Takeo:"An iron cross...you're part of the German navy?"
Z23:"Richtig, pleasure to meet you, commander."
Takeo:"Likewise."
Takeo(mind):Why are they calling me commander? Oh, right...
*Takeo looks at the next girl, she has blonde hair, and red eyes, she has little robotic ears*
Takeo:"And who is this?"
???:"I'm Ayanami."
Takeo:"Huh...that's a long one, huh..."
Ayanami:"You can call me by my nickname."
Takeo:"And what's that?"
Ayanami:"...Demon."
Takeo:"Huh?!"
Ayanami:"..."
Takeo:"Y-You're serious?!"
Ayanami:"Do I look like I'm joking?"
Takeo:"N-No..."
Takeo(mind):Huh...that's scary...
Takeo:"And I see you two have been doing fine as well. Javelin, Laffey."
Javelin:"Hello commander, nice to see you again."
Laffey:"Hey Takeo...Laffey is happy to see Takeo again..."
*Laffey drinks from her bottle*
Takeo:"You really need to...ugh...never mind. Good to see you too."
Enterprise:"I see you're already aquatinted, now here are their certificates."
Takeo:"What?! Already?!"
Enterprise:"Yes."
Takeo:"O-Ok then."
*Takeo looks at the certificates*
Takeo:"Ok, seems simple enough...own as property? Really?"
Enterprise:"Is that a problem?"
Takeo:"...No...no, not at all..."
Takeo(mind):Do they only think of themselves as objects? I mean they are based on objects but...
Takeo:"So, I just sign right here?"
Enterprise:"Correct."
Takeo:"Ok."
*Takeo hesitates to sign the certificate, but he ultimately does*
Takeo:"Ok, all set."
*I hand the certificates to Enterprise*
Takeo:"By the way, there was something on the certificates that said something about relationship status, what's that all about?"
Enterprise:"Oh, it's about your relationship progress with the ship."
Takeo:"Well...kinda figured that one out."
Enterprise:"The ships will have a daily report of their affection towards you, those reports are answered truthfully, from the ships's own personality."
Takeo:"So it's like a scale, it measures their affection towards me...wait, what?!"
Enterprise:"Correct."
Takeo:"Wait...they...what?!"
Enterprise:"That scale can increase or decrease depending on how you take care of the ships, you'll get the reports send by your computer."
Takeo:"Every ships' report, huh?"
Enterprise:"That's correct."
Takeo:"I guess that makes sense."
Takeo:"Alright, am I all set?"
Enterprise:"I presume so, now address your ships one last time."
Takeo:"Ok...Laffey, Javelin, Z23, Ayanami. Welcome to my fleet."
Ayanami:"..."
Laffey:"Yay..."
Z23:"Yes sir! I'm honored."
Javelin:"Uh...yeah, good to be part of your fleet."
Takeo:"Good to have ya, alright. Done...now what?"
Enterprise:"That's as far as I can help you now."
Takeo:"Huh? You're not gonna give me your certificate?"
Enterprise:"Not yet."
Takeo:"So you're gonna just leave me in the dark now?"
Enterprise:"...You're not in the dark, you have your helpers now, I did all I could do as a guide."
Takeo:"..."
Enterprise:"This is goodbye for now."
Takeo:"...Fine, goodbye."
Enterprise:"Best of luck...commander..."
*Enterprise leaves the commander's office*
Takeo:"Ok..."
*Now there's just Takeo, Ayanami, Javelin, Laffey, and Z23 in his office*
Takeo:"Ok...so what am I supposed to do?"
Laffey:"Have drink with Laffey. Takeo needs break..."
Takeo:"As long as the drink is water, I'll get a glass."
Laffey:"Takeo will drink whiskey..."
Takeo:"No, I said water."
Laffey:"Laffey needs nap...night, night..."
*Laffey falls asleep on the floor*
Takeo:"This girl..."
Javelin:"I-I apologize for my friend again, but we'd all like to just spend time with you, if that's ok."
Takeo:"Hmm...well, I did just recruit all of you...sure, a little 'get to know your captain' start, before we head into combat."
Z23:"Commander...if you don't mind me asking, would you like to study with me sometime?"
Takeo:"I'd be honored to, I need to figure out some things about this whole situation anyway."
Z23:"Then I look forward to studying with you."
Javelin:"So, commander..."
Takeo:"Oh, you know...there's one question I have for you."
Javelin:"Y-Yes sir?"
Takeo:"I heard that there was a commander before me, it appears that not many of the battleships here liked him."
Javelin:"W-Well...he was..."
*Javelin stops herself from saying anything else*
Takeo:"Was he a bad person? Did he not take care of you?"
*Javelin nods*
Takeo:"He was a bad guy?"
Javelin:"Yes..."
Takeo:"And he didn't take care of you?"
Javelin:"No...he didn't..."
Takeo:"If it's not too much, can you tell me his name?"
Javelin:"J-Jack...Jack Gonzales...he wasn't from Japan like you are."
Takeo:"Ok, I'll check him out later, wanna get something to eat?"
Javelin, Laffey, Ayanami, and Z23:"Ok."
*They leave the office, and go eat dinner, afterwards we went back to Takeo's office*
Takeo:"Ok, I think that'll do it for today, see you all tomorrow then."
Javelin, Laffey, Ayanami, and Z23:"Ok, goodnight commander."
*They all leave Takeo's office*
Takeo:"Ok, now to look up this Jack Gonzales person."
Takeo(mind):He clearly isn't a good person, I have to prepare myself if he's like a murderer or something.
*Takeo looks up the old commander on his computer*
Takeo:*Gasps*
*Takeo's eyes widen*
Takeo:"Prior to being dispatched from the army, Jackson Gonzales was found guilty of...abuse, and harassment...of an underage girl...oh god..."
Takeo(mind):This guy...
Takeo:"His defense was 'They are just objects!'
Takeo(mind):No way...did he...
Takeo:"He...abused someone from Azur Lane."
Takeo(mind):No, that can't be right? I mean...who would do that?! I have to make sure that I don't become a commander like him.
*Takeo stays up researching about his new ships*
Takeo:"Ok, Laffey is apparently a US navy destroyer that was constructed in 1943. Javelin is a UK destroyer constructed the same year as Laffey. Z23 is a German destroyer built in 1940. And Ayanami is a Japanese destroyer built in 1929...interesting..."
Takeo(mind):I guess that they have the power of ships from all throughout history of battleships, throughout the world too.
*Takeo researches until he falls asleep*
Narrator:Takeo now has his first four battleships to use in combat, but he's only getting started.
