I take a glance over my magazine. My best friend, Julie, is sitting a few tables away from me. She nervously wipes her hands off on her skirt. She notices that I look at her and gives me a smile. I can see the fear in her eyes, so I smirk. I find this highly amusing. Julie taps nervously on the table with her fingers and I wonder if she is aware of that. I take a sip of my soda and wait. Julie gets more and more nervous, I can tell by the way she twirls her hair around her finger and how she clears her throat every ten seconds.
Julie notices someone. She stands up quickly and walks towards the girl. I can see them talking and laughing.
I smile and focus on my magazine again.
