Ella's POV- November 2019
Everyone in the room was awoken to the sound of loud bangs on the door.
"ELLA, OPEN UP!"
I pressed my nose against Gavin's shoulder and sighed moving away from his warm body.
"I see Liam served him the papers" I mumbled.
I was sleeping so well.
"I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE!"
I had fallen asleep pressed up against Gavin, and I could feel EVERY single one of his muscles on his lower body region.
"I got it, Els"
Ian climbed off Aly's bed.
"Stay there and if by any chance he gets past me, Gavin....kick his ass"
Gavin shifted onto his back and pulled himself into a sitting position.
"YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO US! I LOVE YOU"
James banged on the door once more as Ian stripped down into his boxers. He ran a hand through his hair, making it look messier than it actually was before opening the door.
"Dude, what the fuck?"
Aly squinted and covered her face with the blanket as the light from the hallway shimmered in as James tried to barge inside.
"I need to talk to her"
Ian was taller and heavier, so he easily shoved James back out.
"I DESERVE AN EXPLANATION!"
Was he serious?"
"Pip doesn't owe you shit, so how about we go outside and wait for the police to come? Aly call campus police"
Ian stepped out, closing the door behind him leaving us all in the dark. A couple of seconds later, a loud thud was heard.
"Hey, Mila"
I reached over and turned on my desk lamp to light up a bit of the room.
"We just wait now"
So we did just that.
There was a knock on the door a couple of minutes later. Aly climbed out of her bed and went to open the door. She stayed by the doorway, whereas Ian quickly put his PJs back on and even a hoodie.
"Do they need to talk to Ella?"
She leaned against the doorway as Mila replied,
"No, but I just need to make sure she's in there so they can charge him"
Mila peaked into the room after Aly stepped back.
"Okay, I'll be back in a couple of minutes"
Fun.
"What time is it?"
I reached for my phone as he pulled himself up on the bed, but stayed seated on the edge.
"A little past 7 AM" I answered.
Gavin yawned and rubbed his face.
"How'd he even get in?"
There was a light knock on the door.
"One second"
Aly got out of bed and went to answer the door.
"Ella, it's for you"
"Hey" I greeted as Luan stepped into the room.
I squinted as Aly turned on the light, earning a groan from everyone.
"Did your ex try to get into the building?"
"He got in" I replied.
He frowned.
"How?"
I shrugged as he pulled out a folder from his backpack and a clipboard. Using my desk, he got a paper from the folder and clipped it to the board.
"Are you going to press charges?"
"He violated his restraining order" I told him.
He looked at me.
"About time, Ella"
I took the clipboard from him and as I signed and initialed the red tabbed parts, he dug through his backpack.
"Here you go" I said.
"And here you go"
He placed a stun gun, pepper spray and a personal alarm on my lap.
"Just in case"
I smiled and nodded my head.
"Thank you," I told him.
He nodded slowly.
"Do you have the food container I brought you cookies last week?"
I got out of bed.
"Yes, let me get that for you" I said.
The cookies had been devoured the very same day he gave them to me (and Aly).
"My wife made you ladies melktarts, you can share if you'd like"
I accepted the large container as I handed him the clean container.
"Thank you," I said.
"Okay, now I must go. I don't want to be late for work"
He stretched out his closed fist and smiled as I tapped it with my hand.
"I'll see you on Monday"
"See you Monday," I told him.
He turned to Ian.
"Will I see you tomorrow?"
Ian nodded.
"Yeah, what time is it at again?"
Luan smiled.
"3 PM"
Ian replied,
"See you then"
Once he was gone, Ian smiled.
"I love that guy"
Luan was honestly the best.
"We all agree that we should go back to bed, right?"
I nodded and looked at Gavin who scrunched up his nose.
"I need to go to the bathroom"
Well, that's a first. Literally though, he had only gone to the bathroom once last night and that was before we went to bed. Ian had gone up to relieve himself at least 3 times, and he and Gavin had the same amount of alcohol and beverages.
"About time you empty that bladder, dude"
Gavin smiled as he got out of bed. Just as he opened the door, Mila was about to knock.
"Is Ella there?"
He nodded and stepped back for her to come in. Once she was inside, he closed the door on his way out.
"How'd he get inside?" I asked.
"I think one of his frat brothers lives in the same building"
Of course.
"There are cameras inside and outside the entrance, we'll find out who let him in"
Good.
"He violated the restraining order, so he will be charged"
"How long will they hold him?" I wondered.
"I'm sure his mom will post bail for him"
For sure.
"It sucks you have to deal with this though"
"I'm the dumbass that dated him" I noted.
"Well yeah but you believed he had good intentions"
True.
"Ella, you're young"
Pretty sure we were the same age, Mila.
"If life can remove someone you never dreamed of losing, it can replace them with someone you never dreamt of having.
A smile appeared on her face at the sound of a light knock.
"I wouldn't necessarily call him a replacement though"
