A/N: I know I said I was taking a break from this fic to write my other one-shot series, but I was re-reading my one-shots for any typos or errors and decided to write a part two for my 'Death' one-shot because i made myself sad. So, here it is.

Sequel to Death

Also, thank you so much for 10k views on this fic, I am so grateful, you don't understand😊🌻

MOVIEVERSE

After the heartbreaking death of their headmistress and mother, the peculiar children knew they had to do find another loop, and fast, before they aged forward and joined Miss P in the afterlife.

So, they took a look at the map containing all of the open loops nearby and found one about an hour's sail away. It belonged to an ymbryne called Miss Hawk. According to Millard, she was a lovely old lady with only a few wards who was much like Miss P- stern, but unendingly kind.

That being said, they immediately set sail towards the loop.

It took a couple of hours, but they eventually made it to the docks at the town where Miss Hawk's loop resided. Following the two hours sailing to the loop, it took another forty-five minutes to find said loop. It happened to be an inviting house on the quieter part of town where most people shied away from because of the 'weird children'.

That's how they had found the loop in the first place. Someone had pointed out that they looked like the weird children on the other side of town, and from there it had been really easy.

When they entered the loop with a telltale whoosh and arrived at the house, they were greeted by a kindly old woman with greying hair and dark brown streaks, wearing an ankle length white skirt and loafers, along with a comfortable-looking grey cardigan with a white blouse underneath. Her silver pocket watch was safely in her cardigan pocket.

Miss Hawk smiled at them as they approached, but that smile soon faltered at the crestfallen and exhausted looks on their faces.

"Oh dear," she cooed and hurried towards them. She placed a hand on Hugh's and Horace's arms and eyed them all with concern, "whatever's the matter, children? Where's your ymbryne?"

"She's dead," Emma muttered solemly and wiped away fresh tears.

"Dead?"

"The wights, they killed her," Enoch stated angrily.

"Of course," rhe woman realised sadly, "I had heard all about that. I managed to keep my wards safe when they came for us, but I was heartbroken to hear about my sisters."

The children weren't sure what to say to that, so they numbly nodded. They were relieved to hear that she'd been able to stay safe, but they couldn't find the energy to tell her that. Now that they were away from Blackpool and off the ship, their energy was quickly fading.

"Your ymbryne, who was she?" Miss Hawk continued, sensing this.

"Alma LeFay Peregrine," Millard reported dutifully, his voice lacking his usual charm.

"Alma? Oh dear. She was so young," Miss Hawk lifted a hand to her mouth, her own tears welling in her eyes. "I knew her at the Ymbryne Academy. She was the youngest of us all, yet the most powerful. Oh that girl. She could have given us all a run for our money, if not for her brothers."

"Brothers?" Enoch repeated, looking up from where he'd been burning a hole in the floor.

"Let's not delve into that right now. You all look positively exhausted. How about you all come in and get some shuteye? Maybe something to eat?" Miss Hawk eyed them all sympathetically, especially Emma and Claire who looked simply broken.

The majority of the peculiars nodded their heads in compliance, enjoying the sound of some sleep. They weren't very hungry at the moment, though.

Miss Hawk smiled warmly at them and began leading them towards the house. Well, most of them. Claire stayed rooted to the spot, looking sadly at the floor as fst tears rolled down her pale cheeks. Enoch was the first to notice and he turned around, sighing.

"Come on, Claire," he said surprisingly gently.

Claire shook her head, her messy ringlets whipping about.

"She's still on the ship," she whimpered, breath hitching at the end.

"I know," Enoch nodded, "we'll, uh, do something about it tomorrow."

"What's this dear talking about?" Miss Hawk asked curiously.

"Miss Peregrine," Horace informed her, "she's still on the ship."

"The ship?"

"We sailed here from Blackpool. That's where the wights were. Where they intended to perform their experiment."

"And Miss Peregrine..." Miss Hawk trailed off.

"She's still on the ship," Millard filled in, "Enoch was able to bring her back to life for a minute to say goodbye."

"Why didn't you say something sooner?" Miss Hawk chastised, causing them all to furrow their brows in confusion. Why did she look so happy? Their ymbryne was dead and her body was on their ship. What was so good about that? "Now, you all wait here, I'll be back in just a tick."

That said, she lifted her skirt a bit and began hurrying inside the house, looking like a man on a mission. In her absence, the children all shared looks of confusion.

"Well, that was weird," Jacob muttered what was on all of their minds.

"Really weird," Millard agreed.

Reluctantly, and with confusion, the peculiar children lingered outside the ymbryne's home while they waited for her to return.

oOoOoOo

Ten or so minutes later, Miss Hawk hurried out of her house just as quick as she'd entered it, but this time she was being followed by someone else. It was a littlw girl wearing a dress not to different to Claire's, though hers was blue. Her hair was brown and cut short, only just brushing her shoulders.

When they reached the peculiar children, Miss Hawk placed a hand on the girl's shoulder and brought her into view for the children to see her properly.

"Children, I'd like to introduce you to Eleanor, one of my wards," Miss Hawk said.

"Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you," Eleanor said with a smile, showing off that she was missing a tooth on the bottom.

The other peculiars managed to muster up smiles in greeting to the girl.

"Not to be rude, but why is she here?" Enoch asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Enoch," Olive scolded lightly.

Enoch rolled his eyes and attempted to make his expression look less stormy.

"Well, you mentioned that you still had Alma on your ship, correct?" Miss Hawk clarified, to which the peculiars agreed. "Eleanor here has been blessed with the peculiarity of bringing others back to life."

"You're kidding," Jake's jaw dropped.

"Really?" Bronwyn asked hopefully.

The others were too shocked to say anything. Hope was building in their chests and Emma couldn't help but cry, though her tears weren't of sadness. Miss Hawk sympatheticall put a hand on her arm.

"Yep," Eleanor nodded, "should we go to your ship?"

Without wasting another second, Miss Peregrine's peculiars led Eleanor and Miss Hawk back down the way they'd come and towards the docks where they'd docked the ship.

It took less time than when they'd originally been searching for the loop as they now had an idea of how to get around the island thanks to Millard's navigation skills.

When they reached their rickety old ship, Jake and Enoch led the way on board and hesitantly towards the captain's quarters where they'd laid Miss Peregrine.

Jake swallowed a lump at the sight of the white sheet Enoch had brought to cover her body.

When Miss Hawk entered the quarters, she cooed sadly and Jake could only imagine what it was like for her. She'd known Miss Peregrine when they were children and Miss P was younger than her. It must have been hard.

Slowly, as the other peculiars gathered in the room and stood back, Miss Hawk took the white sheet and pulled it back, revealing Miss Peregrine. She was as pale as the sheet she'd been covered with, with dark circles under her eyes, gaunt cheeks, and pale lips.

Emma had undone her hair after they'd returned her to the ship after the fiasco at Blackpool, and it was splayed all around her head like dark waves.

"Oh, dear, Alma," Miss Hawk sighed, "what did they do to you?"

For a few moments, Miss Hawk simply stood and gently stroked Alma's dark hair and let her tears fall. The others all remained at the outskirts of the room, giving her the time to grieve alone.

"Miss?" Eleanor grabbed Miss Hawk's hand and gave it a gentle tug.

"Right, sorry, dear," Miss Hawk sniffled and turned to lift Eleanor onto the bed beside Miss Peregrine.

"She's very pretty," Eleanor said.

"Yes, she is," Emma agreed sadly.

"Are you sure you'll be able to do it? Bring her back?" Fiona asked.

"I can try. And isn't that better than nothing?" Eleanor replied.

Hesitantly, Fiona nodded. She wasn't sure she if wanted the false hope or not, but if there was a chance that this girl could bring Miss P back, then she knew she had to take it.

"You do what you've got to," Miss Hawk told Eleanor, "and remember, I believe in you."

Eleanor smiled at Miss Hawk gratefully and then focused her attention on Miss Peregrine.

"How long has it been since... you know," Eleanor directed her question towards the other peculiars.

"About a day," Millard answered.

Eleanor nodded and then took Miss Peregrine's slender hands in her own smaller ones. She held on tight and then closed her eyes tightly.

The others could see her eyes moving about under her lids, as if she was looking around for something.

Her face contorted, her button nose scrunching up and her lips pursing.

"I can't..." she began only to cut off with a deep breath. "I don't think I can reach her, Miss."

"You can do this, Eleanor," Miss Hawk encouraged her with a hand on her shoulder.

"It's like there's something stopping me from reaching her," Eleanor shook her head.

"What does that mean?" Jake asked.

"How did she die?"

"It was a wight," Emma said, "but we don't know how."

"It must have been his peculiarity," Eleanor said, "it's hard to reach her."

"If there's anyone who can do this, it's you," Miss Hawk told her.

With a nod, Eleanor scrunched her eyes even further and tightened her grip on Miss Peregrine's hands. She bowed slightly where she sat beside the ymbryne, bringing hers and Miss P's hands up to her forehead.

Her breathing deepened, slowly verging on erratic. Even Miss Hawk was beginning to look worried.

And then...

She fell backwards with a deep inhale, coughing and spluttering as Miss Hawk stopped her from toppling off the bed.

"Did you do it?" Hugh asked hopefully.

"Is she okay?" Claire moved towards the bed with the Twins, watching Miss Peregrine carefully.

"I... I don't know," Eleanor admitted.

"Wait," Enoch said, striding towards the bed. He stood there for a moment, watching Miss Peregrine, then he put a finger under her nose.

A second later, he smiled.

"She's alive," he confirmed.

Claire squealed and climbed on the bed, followed by the Twins and attacked Miss Peregrine with a hug. Emma wrapped her arms around Jake while Fiona and Hugh grabbed hold of Olive in delight.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Claire cried at Eleanor, tears of joy rolling down her rosy cheeks.

Beside her, the Twins chittered and nodded their thanks, too.

"I don't know how I can even begin to thank you," Enoch said to Miss Hawk and Eleanor.

"There's no thanks needed, dear," Miss Hawk said honestly, "but I would like it if you all came to my house for some sleep and something to eat. You poor dears look exhausted."

"We'd like that," Horace agreed with a small smile, "thank you."

"Children?" A quiet, raspy voice interrupted.

"Miss P!" The children cried in near synchrony.

Lay on the bed with her eyes now open, looking at the children, was Miss Peregrine. She looked mildly confused, especially as her eyes caught Miss Hawk's and Eleanor's.

"What's going on?" Miss Peregrine.

The children all shared a look, a quiet conversation passing between them. Before they could say anything, however, Claire spoke up.

"We love you, Miss P," she sniffled into Miss Peregrine's collar.
