This was the right time. You were going to escape. He had made a mistake and you were finally going to get out of this living nightmare.

When he opened the door to give your food that night, you were waiting with a plank. You didn't quite know how you managed to hit him this hard but it's like all the anger you had accumulated along these three years had been released as you hit his head. He fell to the ground with a groan of pain.

This groan you could recognize between thousands because you had heard it many times, every time you had tried to get out of there. Everytime you had failed.

And today, finally, he didn't stay standing after letting out this groan. You stared at his body a few seconds, and he didn't move. Finally, you had nothing holding you back in there. You left the room you were kept in all day long, you ran down the stairs in a haze, not even looking around you, and once you were on the first floor, you looked for a door. You had only one thought in mind : escape this hell.

After what felt like an eternity, you eventually found the front door. It was open and that's when you started running for your life. You could hear your heart pounding in your ears, you could feel your lungs screaming for oxygen, but you kept on running. Your vision was blurry, your body was too weak after years of captivity but you kept on running. Because you knew that if you stopped, he would find you and take you back in this house. He would get mad at you and hit you before locking you in your room again, leaving you alone in the dark.

So you ran, for who knows how long, until your body couldn't take it anymore and you fell unconscious.

You were paralyzed. From the moment you heard Hoseok groan and memories flashed back to your mind, it was like your body had stopped functioning. You were in the apartment of the man who had held you prisoner for years, defenseless and alone.

You thought about Taehyung who sensed something wrong with him from the beginning but you had never listened. If I end up getting killed this night, I'd be the only one to blame, you thought.

However, you weren't going to let him do anything more to you after already taking three years of your life from you. You started to desperately try to come up with a solution but your mind was just filled with panicked memories, empty from anything else.

"Wrong address, good night," Hoseok said and you heard the door close. You were still paralyzed by fear. A second later, he was coming back to you with a smile on his face.

At that moment, something clicked in your mind. Your survival instinct invaded your body and all your muscles relaxed suddenly. You smiled back as he sat next to you, praying that he wouldn't notice how fast your heart was beating.

And when he leaned over you, you couldn't do anything but wait for his lips to touch yours. When he started kissing you, you waited for it to be over, too scared to do anything.

"What's wrong ?" he broke the kiss, feeling you weren't kissing him back. He looked you in the eyes and you could hear your heart beating out of your chest.

"Nothing," you said and it came out as a whisper. "I don't feel so well right now, can I use your bathroom ?" you managed to let out and he frowned but nodded, showing you the way.

How did you manage to say this casually ? Even you didn't know, but what mattered was that you were now locked in his bathroom and you had your phone with you.

"Tell me if you need anything," he said through the door, making you flinch. You wondered if he was listening behind the door, you wondered if he still felt this need to control every one of your doings now that you were under his control again.

"Yes, I'm just going to stay there a bit, I think the alcohol got me a little sick but don't worry !" you said, trying to sound convincing. At the same time, you were already texting Taehyung as you didn't know what else to do.

TAEHYUNG'S FOCUS

"I have to go Jungkook, you can sleep here if you want," Taehyung said, looking for his car keys hurriedly.

"What are you doing ?! What's happening ?" Jungkook got up from the couch where he was playing a game, looking at his best friend putting his shoes with shaking hands.

"I should come back soon, if not I'll call you."

"Taehyung, what's wrong ?!"

Taehyung looked at the younger, wondering if he should tell him before shaking his head.

"I can't tell you now, I'm sorry."

With that he left the apartment, leaving Jungkook confused. He ran to his car, an address being the only thing in his mind.

YOUR POINT OF VIEW

"Open the door Y/N," Hoseok said after a while and a shiver ran down your spine.

"I don't want you to see me like that," you said, your voice shaking slightly. You pretended you were throwing up and you could hear his heavy breath behind the door.

"I just want to help you, please open the door," he said again with a soft voice that paralyzed your body. The same soft voice he would take when speaking to you behind the door of the room he kept you locked in.

"I think I'm gonna go home, I really don't feel good," you said weakly, looking at your phone to see if Taehyung was coming soon. He hadn't sent anything else and that's when you realized he didn't know Hoseok's address —at least that's what you thought. That's why you decided to try your luck and escape by yourself.

You got up, focusing on calming your heartbeat and your breath. You put your hand on the handle, gathering all your courage. You just wished he wouldn't hurt you as soon as you would open. You wished he didn't know you knew.

When you opened the door, he stayed still. When you looked up at him, he just looked at you worriedly.

You were going to make it. You were going to escape this apartment.

"I'm going home, I'm sorry," you said quietly as you walked past him towards the door. He didn't grab you as you thought he would and you really thought he was going to let you leave. But when you tried to open the front door, it was locked.

"I think it's safer if you stay here tonight. I don't want you to go home alone at night."

His voice was much closer to you than you had thought and you turned around only to see he was a step away from you, a little smile on his face. Hoseok came closer to you and wrapped his arms around your waist, bringing you closer to him before pressing your back against the front door. So ironical, isn't it ? Feeling the cold door against your back, your only hope of escaping being so close yet so far.

"I'm gonna make you feel better," he whispered, his breath brushing your skin.

You stared at him and if he had paid attention, he could have probably noticed the fear in your eyes. Luckily, alcohol made him less focused and he just kissed your lips softly. This time you kissed back, thinking it was the only way you could save yourself. His lips made their way to your neck and you let him do. You could feel him leaving marks on your skin but you stayed still. His hands left your waist and he started unbuttoning your shirt slowly, his lips still on your neck. You felt like you were going to cry as he revealed more of your skin little by little, but tears didn't come. Just as he was about to take your shirt off, you finally reacted.

"Hoseok, wait." You pushed him off you and you noticed his fists were clenched. "I really don't feel well," you started with a sweet voice, wrapping your arms around his neck, hoping he wouldn't feel your heart beating like crazy against his chest, "I want to do it the right way with you. I want things to be perfect and if I'm not feeling good, it won't be as perfect as I imagine it to be," you ended softly, smiling a little as you looked deep into his eyes.

You didn't know where this talent in acting came from but it didn't matter, because it worked. He kissed your cheek softly before taking the key in his pocket and unlocking the door. His hands traveled on your body one last time before the door closed behind you and you were left in the dark. You stayed still for a second, not realizing how simple it had been suddenly. Something had to go wrong. This was too easy.

But nothing happened, and you just stayed paralyzed in the dark of his building. Realizing he really let you go, you started to run down the stairs. Just like the day you escaped the house, you were escaping this building, running as fast as you could. Your lungs were burning and your whole body was shivering but you made it outside. And just when you got out of the building, a car stopped near you and you recognized Taehyung's worried face.

He immediately got out of the car and you ran towards him, grabbing him desperately as soon as you reached him.

"Taehyung, it's him, it's Hoseok," you stuttered in panic, glancing behind you in fear Hoseok would be there again. When you looked at Taehyung again, you saw in his eyes he was starting to understand.

"What do you mean ?"

"He is the one who abducted me."

When the door opened, Jungkook jumped from the couch where he had been torturing his mind for hours since Taehyung had left. He was expecting anything but to see you with Taehyung following, a serious look on his face.

When you realized he was there, you stopped and you both stared at each other in silence. His eyes slowly went down to your neck and that's when you remembered the marks on your skin and your shirt half unbuttoned. However, he didn't say anything and acted like nothing was wrong though you swore you could see anger burning in his eyes.

Since he had stopped looking at you, you quickly walked past him and went straight to the bathroom, locking yourself inside before leaning your back against the door, closing your eyes. You could hear Taehyung's muffled voice telling Jungkook what happened from outside the bathroom so you stepped away from the door.

You went in front of the mirror, staring at your reflection in silence. Their whispers were less loud now and you couldn't really hear them anymore. It was just you facing yourself in the mirror.

Your eyes were red, as if you had been crying for hours even though you hadn't cried for so long now. Your hair was messy and your lips were swollen. And there was those marks on your neck, turning purple and screaming at you how dirty it made you feel. You washed your hands hurriedly and tried to put water on the marks as if it would change anything, but it just turned them more red. It just hurt you more.

And suddenly, at this very moment, all you wanted to do was cry. It felt like tears were just there, waiting to be released. But they never flowed. You tried. You tried so hard to just finally break down. Finally let your feelings out. But tears wouldn't come. You felt like throwing up as you desperately wanted to burst in tears. You felt like your heart was about to explode inside your chest from the painful pressure of keeping it all inside for too long.

You focused on your reflection again. You looked at your eyes you wished were filled with tears. You looked at your dry cheeks you wished were wet. But nothing came, and you stayed there, staring at yourself in silence while craving for release. Craving to let it all out and finally feel free.

TAEHYUNG'S FOCUS

Once Taehyung had told everything that happened that night, from you remembering Hoseok was the one who kidnapped you to Taehyung and you going to the police to get him arrested, and that he had calmed Jungkook down, he decided he should check on you. You were probably exhausted and he wanted to put you to sleep to make you feel better and forget about everything for the night at least.

However, when he knocked at the bathroom door and called your name, no one answered. He started imagining the worst when he realized the light was turned off, and when he opened the door, the bathroom was empty.

You were gone.
