"Babe, Babe.. Wake up! Wake up!"
It's almost 7 in the morning. Narinig kong umiiyak si Micoi sa kabilang kwarto.
Kaya napabalikwas ako at dali-daling ginising si Miks.
She's still snoring. At ang hirap gisingin.
So I decided to get up. Ako na lang kako ang pupunta kay Micoi.
Luminga-linga muna ako at sinilip kung may tao sa hallway...dyahe kasi kung may makakita sa akin na galing sa guest room at nakaboxer shorts lang. Hehe! Feeling guilty.
Takbo ako agad papunta sa room kung saan naroon si Micoi.
"Hey baby...why are you crying?"
Naku patay! Masama ang gising. Nagwawala.
Panay ang iyak. Mommy nang Mommy.
Ang ginawa ko, kinarga ko na lang sya at dinala sa guest room.
Pagpasok namin ng guest room, dun pa lang naalimpungatan ang Mommy nya. Ang lakas naman kasi talaga ng iyak nya.
"Ahhhhh......Honey what's wrong?" Tanong ni Miks habang panay pa rin ang iyak ni Micoi.
Ibinaba ko sya sa kama. Lumapit at yumakap agad sa Mommy nya.
"Dont cry na ok.....Daddy, what did you do to Micoi? Why is he crying?" Malambing na tanong sa akin ni Miks.
"Nothing..maybe because he had a bad dream. Did you, Micoi?" Tanong ko kay Micoi na medyo tumahan na.
"I dreamt about Annabelle. And found myself all alone in the room." Humihikbi hikbi pa sya.
Nagkatinginan kami ni Miks. I felt guilty. And so is Miks.
"Micoi, dont be scared. You're a big boy na, right? Annabelle is just a character in the movie. It's not real." I tried to pacify him.
"How did you know about Annabelle? I dont remember letting you watch that movie." Miks asked as she looked a little agitated.
"Ate Sabel showed it to me. Just the trailer though." Micoi said with so much innocence in his face.
"Alright, let's get going now. We have a lot of things to do. Mommy, di ba you're going to prepare breakfast for us? Afterwards, mamamasyal tayo sa mall, right? Oh wait, I need to call Lola Mozzy. They're inviting us for lunch nga pala."
"Sounds good Daddy. Does that sound good to you Micoi?"
Finally! The little man is smiling.
Called up Mommy Mozzy, confirming that we will go there for lunch. They're excited to see us. Wala nga lang sina Daddy at Thirdy. Umalis daw kanina madaling araw for Gawad Kalinga Outreach Program.
Micoi wanted to take a shower. Kaya ako na nagpaligo sa kanya.
At habang nagpapaligo ako, Mika also took a shower sa kabilang room.
Bawal magsabay; gising ang bantay. Haha!
Nauna na ang mag-ina ko sa baba habang ako ang naiwan sa kwarto dahil nga huli akong naligo.

MIKA's POV
"Hi Dad, good morning." Saw my Dad reading newspaper at his favorite spot of the house.
"Good morning! And good morning to my favorite apo." My Dad greeted back. Funny my Dad. Favorite apo. Natural, nag-iisa yan. Haha!
"Micoi, stay here with Dada for now..I'm just going to prepare our breakfast. Ok...oh, by the way Dad. Maaga dating ni Ate Coi bukas. Mga 5am ata. Kayo ba o kami ni Kief susundo?" I asked.
"Eh di ba family Day sa Don Bosco bukas? Kami na lang susundo." Dad replied.
"7am po start ng registration. Then 8am yung mass. Aren't you coming with us?"
"Sunod na lang kami nina Mommy. Balita ko may surprise number sina Micoi eh. We dont wanna miss it."
"Yeah Dad, you all better be present coz it might not happen again. Haha! Sabi kasi ni Dani she had a hard time convincing Micoi to join. Pinush lang daw talaga nya itong isa." I smiled.
"Owww! Kudos to Tita Dani then."
"Indeed!! O sige Dad, maiwan ko muna kayo. Kitchen lang ako."
Pagpasok ko ng kitchen, nadatnan ko sina Ate Sabel at Ate Doris. Nagmamarinade ng pork pang-bbq.
"Good morning." Bati ko sa kanila.
"Maganda ka pa sa umaga, Mrs. Ravena." Sagot ni Ate Doris.
"Parang ansarap pakinggan." I laughed.
"Why not, poknat!" Ate Sabel butted in.
"Hey Ate Sabel, may kasalanan ka ha. Pinakita mo daw kay Micoi yung trailer ng Annabelle. Umiiyak tuloy sya kanina pagkagising. He dreamt about Annabelle."
"Naku sorry naman bebe girl. Di ko sinasadya. Nagkataon lang kasi na nagbabrowse ako sa fb eh nakita ko yung link non. Sabi ko kay Micoi, panoorin nya para di sya antukin. Kasi inaantok bago kami pumunta sa Kumon." Paliwanag ni Ate Sabel.
"That's ok. Pero next time ha. Careful na lang din sa mga pinapakita sa kanya."
"Pasensya na talaga." Ate Sabel sounded serious. Di ako sanay.
"Oi Ate Sabel. Ok ka lang? Wag mi masamain yung sinabi ko. It's just a sisterly advice. Lalo at kayo madalas ang kasama nung bata pag wala kami ng Daddy nya." I calmly said.
"Tseh! To naman, di naman ako tamporurot. Syempre alam ko yon no. At marunong naman ako makinig sayo. Ayoko rin naman mapariwara yung bata dahil sa mga kalokohan ko." She's now smiling.
"Salamat naman at hindi masama loob mo sa akin." I smiled back.
"Eh pakiexplain mo nga sa amin...kasi may nakita kaming paglilipat ng kwarto kagabi eh. Ano ibig sabihin non?" Nakakaloko ang tingin sa akin nung dalawa.
"Hahaha! Kayo talaga. Anlakas ng pakiramdam nyo sa mga ganyan ano? At pano nyo nalaman na may paglilipat na naganap eh sa baba kayo natutulog?"
"Aba, may sixth sense kaya tong kasama ko." Ate Doris joked.
"Basta, no comment. What you see, is what you get..hahaha! Magtrabaho na kayo dyan. Marami tayong gagawin. Darating na si Ate bukas. I'm so eggzoited! And I just cant hide it.."
"Excited ako sa El Nido!" Ate Sabel giggled. Pero siniko sya ni Ate Doris.
"Tologo! Somo ko?" Biro ko sa kanya.
"Ay sorry, di nga pala kami kasama. Sorry nemen. Assuming lang. Wag kasi assumera Sabel. Wag din feelingera. Halerrr!!!"
After that asaran and kulitan, we finally got ourselves glued at what we're doing. Pagkatapos naming magbreakfast, umalis kaming tatalo nina Kief at Micoi. Pasyal muna kami sa Glorietta. Naglaro ang mag-ama sa Timezone. Namili sa Toys R Us. Humiwalay ako saglit kasi may gusto akong bilhin for Tita Mozzy and Dani.
Pagkatapos naming mag-ikot ikot, we headed to their house na dahil dun kami maglulunch.

KIEFER's POV
"Dan, lapit na kami. Gutom na raw si Miks." Pang-aasar ko kay Miks.
"No Dan, Kuya mo ang gutom na." Sabay irap ni Miks sa akin.
"Ready na po lahat. Kayo na lang kaya ang inaantay." Sagot ni Dani sa kabilang line.
Pagkadating na pagkadating namin sa bahay, direcho agad kami sa dining room. As in gutom na kasi talaga ako.
Chikahan muna ang mga girls samantalang kami ni Micoi, nakapwesto na at ready na lumamon. Haha!
"Dad can we wait for them and then we have to pray first. I am going to lead the prayer before meal." Micoi stopped me from eating.. Nakakahiya naman sa anak ko. Haha! Pero nakakatuwa sya na alam nya ang mga bagay na 'to. Napapractice nya rin lahat ng natutunan nya sa school.
"Good job Micoi.....Thanks for reminding Dad...Hey girls, halina kayo. Kain na. Micoi is waiting. He's going to lead the prayer."
Micoi then lead the prayer.
"Bless us, Oh Lord, and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive, from thy bounty, through Christ, Our Lord. Amen."
"Wow! Very good Micoi." Mommy Mozzy is amused.
"How is my kid doing in school pala Dan?" Was curious about Micoi.
"Oh, not to sound bias, but he's always on top of the class. Mapa-recitation, quizzes, long exam. Medyo mahiyain at times, but I am really pushing him hard to increase the level of confidence in him, just like what his parents have. Naks!" Kindat sa amin ni Dan.
"Medyo mahiyain nga eh. Pero maoovercome din nya yan." Miks butted in.
"Oh yeah! Napilit ko nga sya para sa surprise presentation bukas eh. He's gonna be a revelation tomorrow. I bet!" Dan quipped.
"Aba at hindi ata nya namana ang tatay nya, sa pagkakapal ng mukha..hahaha!" Biro ni Mommy as everybody laughed.
After namin kumain, nagkwentuhan ang mga girls, while Micoi and I played xbox. Natatawa ako kasi hindi sya masyadong marunong maglaro. Halatang hindi sya sinanay ng Mommy nya into playing computer games, which is actually a good thing.
Hindi na rin kami masyado nagtagal dahil nga marami pang gagawin.
Anyway, tomorrow, magkakasama rin naman kami during the family day and dinner na rin sa house nina Miks for a simple get together.
Pagdating ng bahay, Miks became busy again in the kitchen. Nagbake sya ng cake for her sister. Nagluto ng ilang putahe.
Kami naman nina Ate Sabel, nagdecorate sa may garden. Nagkabit ako ng tarp to welcome Ate Coi. Balloons.
Bukas kasi wala nang time. Maaga yung family day. Sobrang busy talaga today. Buti na lang walang practice.
We had dinner at 7. Micoi had to go to bed at 8.
Miks and I went back to Glorietta kasi may mga nakalimutang bilhin for tomorrow's event.
Nakakapagod. Kaya naman maaga kaming nakatulog.
Haha! Wala, rest talaga. Jerjer mode off. Lelzzzz!
Nagising kami sa katok nina Daddy Migs... Oh yeah, I started calling them Mommy and Daddy.
"Your Ate Coi is here guys!!!! Wake up!" Daddy Migs sounded so excited.
Ako at si Micoi ang unang bumangon. We almost had to drag Miks kasi ang hirap na namang gisingin.
Takbo pababa ang mag-ina ko. Naririnig ko silang nagsisigawan..
"Ateeeeee!!!!!!!" Heard Miks screaming.
"Oh my God..Good to see you again guys."
Pagkababa ko, everyone's eyes were on me. Nahiya tuloy ako.
Si Ate Coi ang unang lumapit sa akin.
"Hey Kief, finally, nagkita ulit tayo." She hugged me. I hugged her back.
"Kumusta Ate. Welcome home." Nakangiti kong bati sa kanya.
"Naku thank you. I'm so glad to be back."
"Tara na, magbreakfast muna tayo. Kasi maya't maya, kanya-kanyang bihis na. Maaga yung event sa Don Bosco." Yaya ni Mommy.
Pagkatapos nga kumain, kanya-kanyang ligo at bihis na.
Nauna na kami ni Miks, Micoi, Ate Sabel at Ate Doris.
Sunod na lang daw sina Mommy at Daddy with Kuya Jr and Ate Coi. Maiwan daw si Manang Idot kasi sya magbabantay sa bahay.
Pagdating sa school, marami-rami na rin tao.
Meron designated area for each Class. Naka-segregate ang mga students kasi may mass muna prior to the activities.
Mass was held 8am sharp.
During the "peace be with you" part of the mass, I kissed Miks on the lips. Napansin ko sa bandang likod, may kumukuha ng photo. I just shrugged it off. Pero sa isip isip ko, hanggang dito ba naman, may paparazzi? Haha!
After the mass, nasa gitna pa rin ng gym yung mga students. The emcee is giving instructions na wag aalis sa pwesto blah blah blah.
Miks and I were holding each other's hands, habang sinisilip silip namin si Micoi sa pwesto nya. Buti na lang matangkad kami at tanaw namin kung nasan sya. Haha!
Naexcite kami nung tinawag na yung selected Grade 1 students.
Sina Micoi na pala.
Sabi ko kay Miks, ako na lang lalapit para makuhanan ko ng video si Micoi. Meron nga lang certain area na pwede ka pumwesto para makakuha ng pic or vid. Andami nga kasing tao.
Oh gosh! As soon as the music started to play, tumatawa na ako. Wiggle wiggle lang naman ang tugtog. Blame it to Dani. Haha!
At may itinatagong talent pala ang anak ko. Sya ang star dancer. Palakpalpakan ang mga tao. Grabe kasi kung gumiling yung anak ko. For sure dinig na dinig ang mga sigaw ko sa video. "Go Micoi!!!! Go!!!! Wooooooohooooo!!!!"
I was teary-eyed. First time kong makita ang anak ko to perform. Lumingon ako kay Miks. Kinukuhanan rin pala nya ako ng video habang vinivideo ko si Micoi. Kumaway ako sa kanya at ngumiti. I said "I love you", na tanging ako lang nakarinig. She probably read my lips kaya nag-"I love you too" sya sakin.
Wow! What an unforgettable moment. This is again, one for the books. Imagine may binata na ako? Haha!
After Micoi's performance, medyo nagkagulo. Kasi some students went out of their way para magpapicture sa akin. Pati ibang parents and their companions nakisali na rin.
Hindi na nacontrol yung crowd. Lumapit si Dani sa akin. Nahirapan pa nga syang sumingit eh sa dami talaga nang nakapalibot sa akin. Kinailangan pang magtawag ng mga guards ng school.
Nang mabigyan kami ni Dani ng pagkakataon, kinausap ko sya at sinabing pagbigyan ko lahat ng students for photo op per grade level, after ng ibang magpeperform. The show must go on at ayokong masira yung program because of my presence. Nakakahiya kasi sa buong Don Bosco community.
Umakyat tuloy si Father Rector Garces sa stage para makiusap na bumalik na sa mga places nila yung mga students.
"I know almost all of you want to have a photo with the PBA's Most Valuable Player, but please also remember na nandito sila to enjoy the family day with their son. As a good news though, all of you will have the opportunity to have a group photo with The Phenom. Si Kiefer na po mismo ang nagvolunteer so as to avoid any commotion." Students were up on their feet. Clapping and screaming out loud because of excitement. "Per grade level yon boys ha, group photo. Wag naman po isa isa kasi aabutin na tayo ng umaga nyan." Father Rector laughed. "So boys, please listen. Ok. Remember to do ordinary things extraordinarily well. Ms Emcee, let's move on with the next performers. Salamat po."
I had a big sigh of relief. Ang siste, we were already surrounded by security guards. Awkward tuloy.
Natapos lahat ng performers. As promsied, isa isang tinawag bawat grade level to have a photo with me, parang class picture lang..haha! Pati teachers nila kasama.
This time, students were more cooperative, more organized.
Pati Kuya's from Highschool , pinagbigyan rin for a photo op. Per year level din.
After that, tuloy na sa main event, which is yung fun games with our fellow parents.
Nakisali kami ni Miks. First time rin naming gawin ito together.
Meron ding game mala-Pinoy Henyo.
Micoi was cheering for us. Kaso talo..haha!
After the games, salo-salo lunch na with all the families. Kanya-kanyang dala ng food assigned for eaxh family.
Masaya! Sobrang saya. Gusto kong ulit-ulitin ito kasama ang mag-ina ko.
Nakita ko ang mag-ina ko. Hugging. Di nila alam na kinukuhanan ko rin sila ng picture. Awww! Picture-perfect of the mother and child.
Nakakatuwa silang makita sa ganitong pagkakataon.
"Babe, malapit na. Malapit ka nang maging Mrs. Ravena." Sabi ko sa sarili ko. Bago ako lumapit sa kanila.
Wala syang kaalam-alam about the BIG plan. Moreso, of the marriage proposal.
We never discussed about marriage, since day one.
And I really intended not to talk about it. Para mas magkaroon ng element of surprise if I do my marriage proposal....which is gonna take place soon. Very very soon, Babe.
After the whole event, we headed home.
Lahat sa bahay nina Miks magdidinner kasama ang buong pamilya ko.
Syempre during dinner, si Micoi ang center of discussion.
Pinaulit namin yung performance nya kanina and he obliged.
Syempre magpapatalo ba naman ako at si Thirdy sa pagsasayaw. Haha! We joined Micoi.
Micoi convinced his Mom to join too.
Yep, napasayaw namin si Miks. Palakpakan silang lahat.
"Oi, wag nyong ipopost yan ha. Mawawalan ng respeto sakin ang mga tao. Hahaha!"
Tawanan lahat.
It was indeed a HAPPY family day for all of us. This day is definitely for keeps.
Nagpaalam na sina Mommy, Daddy, Dani and Thirdy.
Bago kami umakyat, Ate Coi asked Miks kung pwede daw nyang hiramin si Micoi..Tabi daw silang matulog sa kwarto nya.
"Hiramin talaga Ate? Haha! Sige, ibalik mo rin ha..haha!"
"Sure thing. Goodnight guys." Paalam nila sa amin.
"Ok goodnight. I love you Ate, I love you Micoi." And I kissed them before they headed to Ate's room.

"Ako rin. Sobrang saya ko. I cant thank Him enough for these blessings. And you are one of my treasured blessings." Miks kissed me on the lips.
