"Why did you agree with mom and dad anyways?" I asked Ethan.

Ethan sighed. "I had no choice. They were forcing me."

"You didn't fight back?"

"Looking back at it now, holy shit, they were guilt tripping me," Ethan muttered. "They also threatened to take Evanna away forever and I couldn't do anything."

"What are we talking about?" Brandon asked, walking into the living room.

"Do they know?" I asked Ethan.

"No," Ethan replied.

"Dude, what?" Brandon asked.

"We have to wait for everyone."

"Is it too hard too tell me now?"

"Mom and dad are separating and he's taking Evanna with her," Ethan said.

Brandon's jaw dropped. "You're joking. Tell me you're fucking kidding me."

"I can't do this shit anymore either," Ethan muttered. "I'm not having people blame me for stuff I didn't do."

"So Evanna's going to be separated from us?" Brandon asked in disbelief. "What the hell? Wait, our parents are divorcing?"

"No, it's just like a small break," Ethan said.

"That's a fucking divorce."

"I mean," Ethan shrugged. "Sure, but dad's trying to take Evanna away. She doesn't want to go."

I sighed. "I don't want her to leave either."

And that was when our parents, including Alex, Daniel, and Jayden walked into the house.

"Oh, it's so hot outside," Mom said, walking in. "Hey boys."

By the look of my brother's faces, I could tell they've been told the news already.

"Jayden!" Mom called as Jayden bolted up the stairs to Evanna's room.

"Mom, are you seriously thinking of breaking up?" Brandon asked.

"It's just a little time off with each other to focus on some of our priorities," Mom replied, smiling. "Don't worry, we'll still be together."

"I'm not worried about that," Brandon said. "I'm worried about Evanna."

"You're worrying about her more than our relationship?" Mom asked, confused. "Honey, I don't understand. We're your parents. But she's just your sister. Shouldn't you be helping us?"

Ethan put his hand on Brandon's arm, warning him not to say anything dumb. "Mom, you can't let Evanna—"

"She's my daughter," Dad cut him off. "I can take her. Why the hell are you trying to take her away from me?"

"You don't deserve her, that's why," Brandon snapped.

Shit.

"Brandon!" Mom yelled. "Apologize."

"Why do I have to apologize for saying the truth?" Brandon fired back. "Mom, I'm sorry, but this is really fucking stupid."

"Don't use that language on your mother," Evanna's dad cut in.

Brandon scoffed. "You—"

"That's enough!" Mom screamed, and all of us froze. She sounded like she was on the verge of tears. "All of you stop! What's so wrong with me wanting to be with you guys?"

"Evanna," I said. "We don't want her separated from us."

"That's not your decision," mom said, walking upstairs. She went to her room and slammed her door, making all of us just stare at each other.

"Boys, give your mother a break," Evanna's dad said, triggering literally all of us. Before we could do anything, Ethan stopped us.

We waited a second and then dad decided to go follow our mother.

"I cannot believe this is happening," Daniel muttered. "I don't want her to go."

"We don't have a choice..." Alex said. "Where are they even going?"

"Not that far," Ethan muttered.

"I wanted to spend the summer with her not away from her," Daniel frowned.

"Is she okay though?" Alex asked.

"No," I replied. "She had an anxiety attack and broke down."

"Fucking hell," Brandon muttered, sitting down on the counter. "What's wrong with our parents, for fuck's sake?"

Jayden came downstairs with Evanna. All of us immediately rushed up to them.

"You okay?" Alex asked.

"I'm fine," she said, sighing. "I wanna go out."

"Where?" I asked.

"I don't know. I'm gonna take a walk," she muttered, walking to the door.

"We'll come with you," Ethan said.

Evanna smiled a little bit. "Okay."

"Where do you want to go? We can all go together," I said.

"Can we go get food?" She asked. "I'm hungry."

"Yeah, lets go," Ethan said. "Who's car are we taking?"

"Obviously your car," Brandon said.

Ethan narrowed his eyes at him. "Dude, just—"

"I call shotgun!" Evanna said.

"No! Oldest gets shotgun!" Brandon argues, grabbing Evanna by the waist before she could run out.

"I call trunk!" Daniel joked.

"Then I'll drive," Jayden joined.

"I'll ride on the top, I guess," Ethan said, sighing.

I chuckled. "You guys are so immature."

"Mhm, you're just boring as fuck," Daniel said, earning a smack from me.

I looked down at my phone when I got a notification from Sabrina.

Sabrina: hey, andrew... you busy?

me: yeah, a little. what's up?

Sabrina: i was wondering if you could help me with my summer homework... idk what to do.

me: can we try tomorrow?

Sabrina: ... no... im sorry. today's the only day. are you that busy? it's okay then, i can try by myself. do whatever you need to :)

Ah fuck.

This was my chance to get closer with her.

Sabrina: but it would be amazing if you could make it! im at the library, if you're going to come.

me: give me a second.

"Hey, Uh," I started. "Sabrina is asking me to help her out on her homework. I might have to go."

"Right now?" Evanna asked.

I nodded, sighing. "Is that okay? I'll be back in time, though."

Evanna took a moment but then smiled. "Yeah, of course. Have fun."

"Thanks," I smiled, running out and grabbing my bike from the garage. I started pedaling to the library where Sabrina usually is when I help her.

After a while, I reached the library and found Sabrina waiting besides the entrance.

"Hey!" I called out, running up to her.

She looked up and her whole face brightened up. "Andrew! Hi!"

She gave me a quick hug. "I'm so glad you could make it."

"Of course," I said. "Let's go inside."

We went in and started helping her with some stuff until I realized my phone was missing. I checked my pockets and thank the lord it was there. When I pulled it out, I had a few... bad messages from my brothers.

Ethan: dude are you fucking dumb or what?

Ethan: you just left us like that?

Ethan: you do realize you look like a piece of shit, right?

Brandon: andrew did you actually just leave to go see your girlfriend?

Alex: bro did you not see her face? it was obvious she was upset you had to leave.

I mentally sighed.

me: shit, okay sorry. is she okay?

Ethan: probably not, when you left.

me: okay but i kinda have a life and i gotta help her out.

Brandon: Evanna's litteat leaving what do you mean?

Alex: did you mean literally?

Alex: Brandon just hit me really hard.

Brandon: that's because you're a fucking piece of shit.

me: aren't you guys right next to each other? Ethan, aren't you driving?

Ethan: we already got here, shitface.

me: damn where are you guys

Brandon: chickfila

me: smh i'll be there in a little bit

Ethan: bruh whatever

"Is... everything okay?" Sabrina asked, looking up with a concerned face. "You can go if you need. I really don't want to be any trouble—"

I smiled. "It's okay. Don't worry about it."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah," I said, grabbing some books off the empty table next to me. "This book will help you out a lot."

She took it from me, smiling. "Thanks."

"Is there anything else you don't understand?" I asked.

"No, I think that's it," she said. "Do you... maybe want to go get some food together?"

"Uh—"

"I can pay."

"It's not because of that," I said, laughing. "It's just my sister."

"How about we get a quick drink and then you can go to her?" Sabrina asked me. "Come on."

"Okay, maybe 5 minutes?" I asked.

"Sounds good."

My Brothers

"Is he not coming?" I asked, fidgeting with my cup.

"I don't think he is..." Ethan trailed off. "It's okay. Maybe next time we'll come out together again."

"But we don't know when the next time will be," I argued. "It could be a week. Maybe a month. I don't know. He might not let me see you guys—"

"Don't worry, he won't," Daniel said, trying to reassure me. "Besides, you can always sneak out."

"We're being terrible influences on her," Alex said.

"Yeah, but who cares?" Brandon said.

"I'm pretty sure a lot of people," Ethan pointed out. "But anyways, we should probably go home."

Yeah, we've all finished eating. We're ready to go home. But Andrew still wasn't here.

So we paid and went home.

Without Andrew.

I mean, obviously I was hurt. I wanted to hang out with him before actually getting separated again but he wasn't here. I didn't even know where he was. Was it because of that girl?

"Bruh, you're so gay," Brandon scoffed, shoving Ethan.

"Shut the hell up," Ethan said. "It wasn't my fault your new shoes got dirty."

"You fucking stepped on it, shitface."

"I said sorry, dipshit."

"That won't fix my shoes, will it? Dumbass."

"Just clean it, fucks sake," Ethan shot back. "It's not that fucking hard."

"Why don't both of you just shut up and open the door?" Alex groaned, sighing.

I couldn't help but laugh. I loved being around them. And then my mood dropped straight down when the first thing we saw when we opened the door were our parents.

"Where in the world were you guys?" Mom literally screeched at us. "Do you know how worried we were?"

"Why would you need to be worried?" Ethan asked. "We all went together."

"Why were you out? There was no reason for you guys to leave!" She kept screaming. "Today was a special day and we needed everybody but you guys just decided to leave! Evanna was supposed to be here, packed up, and ready to leave."

"Mom—" Ethan tried saying.

"No!" She yelled. "Ethan, I'm tired of everything you're doing. You should be watching them, taking care of them, making sure they don't do anything bad—"

"That's your job!" Ethan yelled right back. "Why the fuck do I have to be the parent? I'm not their dad! You should be doing that."

Silence.

"Don't you know how tired I am from work?" Mom asked.

"Don't you know how tired I am from work? From school? And on top of that I have to watch all of them now?" Ethan shouted. "I'm tired too! Stop making excuses for yourself!"

"Ethan—" all of a sudden Dad spoke up.

"No, don't fucking talk to me!" Ethan yelled at him. "You're a shitty father too, you know. Stay out of it."

"Ethan!" Mom yelled. "It's your job to watch them as the oldest. You have to responsible for them!"

"You're supposed to do that too!"

"I do!"

"You don't, mom!" Ethan shouted. "You're always blaming me. It's always my fucking fault, isn't it? Just because I'm the oldest? Why the fuck do I have to act like their parent?"

"Ethan—"

"I have to cook for them. I have to bring food for them. I have to show them how to do stuff that parents should be doing for their child!" Ethan kept yelling. "Do you not care about their feelings? They want fucking parents too! And what about me? Just because I'm the oldest doesn't mean I don't need somebody to care for me, for fucks sake!"

"Listen—"

"No, fuck this," Ethan growled, throwing his bag on the ground. "I'm fucking done with this."

Ethan stormed out of the house, slamming the door behind him. A few seconds later we heard the car start and the sound slowly faded.

Silence.

Everybody was too shocked to speak. There was this extreme tension between the parents and us, and nobody said a word.

My brothers and I exchanged nervous glances, as Mom leaned against the kitchen counter, her hand on her forehead. Dad was leaning against a wall with crossed arms, looking at Mom.

I'm pretty sure we all felt bad. We were all part of pushing him over his limits. Us, as his siblings made really dumb decisions and it got blamed on Ethan. He had to watch over us and all we did was be irresponsible.

As for our parents, they kept putting this dumb burden on him and it was extremely obvious, so I was wondering why I hadn't seen it a lot earlier.

"I cannot believe this," Mom said under her breath, closing her eyes. "

"Well, I can," Brandon spoke up. "With all the shit you're doing? Yeah. I agree with Ethan." Brandon went upstairs, then slammed his door.

"And just so you know," Alex told my dad. "You're not taking Evanna anywhere."

Dad didn't say anything except look at me. I avoided my eyes and looked away.

Jayden nudged my arm and I turned to him. "Let's go downstairs."

I nodded slightly and Jayden and I went down the stairs to the lounge. Behind us, Alex and Daniel followed.

"We have such a problematic family, and I'm tired of it," Alex muttered, sitting down on the floor.

"There's a perfectly nice couch right next to you but I guess you're gonna sit on the floor," Daniel snorted.

Alex rolled his eyes. "Happy Brithday, Daniel."

"It's your birthday?" I asked, nudging Daniel.

"It's tomorrow," Daniel said. "June 16th. Close to your birthday."

"Happy birthday!" I exclaimed, jumping onto him on the couch.

Daniel laughed, shoving me off. "Whatever, loser. Thanks."

"How old are you turning?" Alex asked.

"16, dumbass," Daniel said, throwing a pillow at Alex's head.

"You're so old," Jayden teased.

"You're turning, what, 14? You're a fucking baby, that's what you are," Daniel retorted.

"I'm also turning 14," I protested.

Daniel pinched my cheek. "14? Aw, that's so cute."

Jayden's jaw dropped, pointing at Daniel. "This dude."

"Oh, suck it up, princess," Daniel told Jayden, smiling.

"Do you think Ethan's okay?" I asked.

"Hopefully," Alex sighed. "I mean, this is his first time exploding like this, but he can take care of himself... Just as long as he doesn't do anything dangerous."

I leaned against Daniel's shoulder. "What do we do?"

"First things first, we have to make sure we're okay," Daniel replied. "Nothing will get better if we aren't better."

"Spitting wise words now, are we?" Alex said, laughing. "But shit, where's Andrew? He's still not here?"

"I guess not," Daniel sighed. "Dude, where is he? He said he's going out just for a little bit, then texts you guys he'll come. Now it's almost been three hours. It's literally 11 right now."

I got up. "I'm getting water."

I went up the stairs to the empty living room. I grabbed some water and as I was about to head down, I heard a knock on the door.

"Alex? Daniel?" I called out. "Jayden, guys, there's someone at the door."

"Open it, dumbass," Daniel said, laughing as he came up the stairs.

I thought for a moment. Why didn't I open the door?

Alex and Jayden came up too as Daniel opened the door.

"Oh shit," Daniel said. "What happened to him?"

A girl's voice came from the door. "W-we were at a party and then he drank a lot... then he got into a fight and I didn't know what to do."

Alex ran up to them. "Goddamnit Andrew."

Alex took Andrew by an arm, slowly walking towards the couch. I saw Andrew's knuckles all bloody and bruised, but other than that, he seemed fine. Well, except for the fact that he was drunk.

The girl walked in and I swear my jaw mentally dropped. She was tall, skinny, and overall stunning. Her hair was the prettiest shade of purple and even from this far I could see her sparkling hazel eyes.

She had a worried look on her face as she sat down next to Andrew on the couch, her hand on his hand.

"What the hell happened?" Alex asked.

"We were drinking and he got a little carried away," She started saying. "And then some guys came up to him and said some things about a girl. Maybe me. I heard what they were saying and I couldn't believe they'd say stuff like that to him about me."

I stared at Andrew as he leaned against the couch with closed eyes, knocked out already.

"Who... are you?" Daniel asked.

"Sabrina," She replied, a small smile on her face.

"Oh, so you're that girl," Alex muttered under his breath.

"Sorry?" She asked, looking at Alex.

Alex shot her a fake smile. "Nothing. So, uh, thanks for bringing him back... but why did you go out—"

"It was my idea," she spoke up. "Before you get mad at either of us, you should be mad at me only. It was my idea that he comes and stay with me for a little while."

Alex sighed, crossing his arms. "Okay, thanks."

"You guys look really similar," Sabrina said, staring at Alex in awe. "That's so cool."

Alex gave us the 'somebody please get her out' look, making me smile.

"Thanks for bringing him back," I said, a little bit salty that because of her Andrew couldn't be with me.

She looked at me, then she eyed me up and down. She smiled. "Of course."

This bitch.

I saw that look.

That's the bitch look I've gotten multiple times and this girl just did it right to my face. And nobody noticed except me.

"It's getting late, you should head back," Alex said. "We'll take care of him. Thanks."

Even Alex was being salty to the girl, except I didn't know why. Maybe it was because Andrew was his twin brother, who knows?

"Okay," Sabrina said, standing up. She walked to the door. "When he wakes up, tell him to text me, please."

"Will do," Daniel said. "Bye."

Jayden poked me. "You okay?"

I nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine."

Alex sat down on the couch next to Andrew. "Dumbass."

Alex laid Andrew on his back and put a pillow under his head. He pulled a blanket from one of the extra cabinets and put it on top of him. Alex went to the kitchen, grabbed Advil and some water and brought it up to Andrew, putting it on the table next to the couch.

It was sweet to watch, seeing Alex care for Andrew.

"I don't like her," Alex muttered. "That Sarah, Serene, whatever her name is."

"Sabrina," Jayden said.

"I don't like her at all," Alex said.

"I don't like her either," I spoke up. "I can tell she's a bitch. Something's off with her."

"Glad I'm not the only one," He said.

"Evanna, you should go sleep," Alex said. "Jayden, Daniel, you too."

"What about you?" Daniel asked.

"I might sleep here," Alex said, sitting on the couch. "Night, guys."

Everybody seemed to be drained of their happiness, and now, all that was left was this depressed, sad feeling that was spreading throughout everyone.

And somehow, it started to get worse.

As soon as my brothers and I had the worst fight ever.

***
Late update, took 2 weeks instead of uploading last Tuesday so I'm sorry about that :)

I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, left it at a small cliffhanger at the end.

Opinions on Sabrina?

What do you think the fight will be about?

Thanks for the amazing support on both of my books, everyone! I love you so much!
