~Kai's POV~
I woke up to the sun creeping through the blinds of my window. I slowly opened my eyes before rubbing them a bit. I soon stood up and went towards my kitchen for breakfast.
Recently I had gotten most of the phone numbers of my classmates ever since one of us had created an E class chatroom. I hopped on in there whenever I had the time, which was all the time. Though since it was pretty early, about 8 or so to be exact, I decided not to bother anyone by being in there.
I just made myself some toast for breakfast because I was feeling quite lazy. I got myself some water and waited until I heard the 'pop' of the toaster to show that the toast was done. Then I put the two pieces of toast onto a small plate and sat down to eat them, by myself of course. "Gone again, not surprised." I said to myself.
After finishing up I put my dishes into the dishwasher to deal with later. Then I walked back to my room of the house and sat down on my bed boredly. I picked up my phone from my dresser and realized it was now 9 a.m. as I turned it on. 'Time sure flies huh?' I thought whilst laying down and playing around on my phone for a bit.
Soon enough I got a notification that popped up on my phone. It was a text from Nagisa. I smiled and opened up my texts.
Nagi: Hey Kai!
Me: Heyo~ How are you Nagi?
Nagi: I'm good, and you?
Me: Good! So~ Was there a reason for you suddenly texting me?
Nagi: Yes actually! I wanted to know if you were up for a shopping trip with me? We'll just go into any store that interests us, sound good?
Me: Well you know me, I'm always free! So yeah I'd totally like to go with you and yes that sounds good. I'll meet you there just give me a place and time.
Then Nagisa told me to meet him outside of the anime/manga shop in town at 12. I told him that I'll see him soon and set my phone down before rushing to get ready. I took a quick shower and afterward brushed my teeth with a towel securely wrapped around me.
I did my hair and changed before getting some money and putting it into my pocket. I took hold of my phone and noticed that it was 11:30. 'I'll get going now so I get a few minutes to myself before he arrives.' I thought as I stepped out of the house and walked towards the meeting place.
Upon reaching the shop I look at my phone to find that I had fifteen minutes to spare. "That gives me a few minutes to do what I want then..." I said to myself before looking around to make sure nobody I knew was around. I found nobody and smiled nodding to myself as I turned around and walked into the shop. I slipped my phone into my other pocket as I stepped in.
Did I not mention yet that I am an anime and manga closet fan? Woops... Well now you know. I walked in and looked around before finding some cool manga that I recognized. Though one series I liked in particular caught my eye called Ouran High School Host Club. I squealed in my head as I picked up the first one and started reading through it.
"Kai?" I heard a familiar voice say from behind me. I instinctively dropped the manga into it's respective place before turning around to see... Nagisa with a certain redhead we know. I gave a small wave and smile. "Hey Nagi~ and Karma?"
Karma I swear winked at me and showed his usual smirk. "Surprise~" He said as I stepped over to them. "Well how are you guys?" I asked and they both responded with a 'Good'. "Also Nagi, may I ask why you didn't tell me that Karma was coming?" I tilted my head slightly.
"I didn't tell you? Oops heh heh sorry..." He smiled and rubbed the back of his head. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "It doesn't matter, the more the merrier I guess." I told Nagisa. "Hey Kai, why did you come in here? I didn't expect you to be the girl that likes this sort of stuff." Karma said.
"Hm? O-Oh I don't really l-like this stuff, but I was waiting for you guys to arrive so I decided to come in here." I looked at Nagisa and he just sighed. He is the only one who knows about me being a closet fan and doesn't really understand why I hide it.
I laughed nervously. "If your a fan of anime just say so." Karma said as my eyes widened slightly. "W-What makes you think I do like it?" I asked. "This is the first time I've heard you stutter. I only guessed that would be the reason why." He said and I sighed in defeat. "Fine. You were right, I do like it, and I'm what you would call a closet fan."
"I don't understand why you need to be a closet fan of it. There is nothing wrong with liking something, it's a part of what makes you different from the others, and I think being different is a good thing." My eyes slightly widened at his statement and they started to sparkle. "Karma..." I soon noticed that I was staring at him and quickly turned to Nagisa. I couldn't tell if I was blushing or not. "Erm, So how about we leave here and head to the candy shop just down the street for now." I suggested.
The two nodded and we left walking down the street and talking. Soon enough we stepped inside the candy shop and I twirled around with a smile. "Candy time~" I giggled as I saw the two smiling at me. Nagisa then saw something that he liked, saying that he'll be right before walking off.
"Hm... Well we can't stand around looking awkward forever." I said looking at Karma.
"So let's go!" I smiled taking a hold of Karma's hand and pulling him to the different sweets. I could've sworn I saw a faint blush on his face, but thought it was my imagination. As we looked at some candy together I noticed I was still holding his hand and let go before rubbing the back of my head nervously.
"So~ What do you think of sweets Karma?" I asked.
"Sweets aren't my favorite, but I do like strawberry milk." I giggled at his answer.
"What?" He asked, curious as to why I'd laugh at such a thing.
"I just think that's cute is all." I gave him a closed-eye smile.
"Sweets aren't my favorite either though I love sushi." I said looking around some more.
"Isn't there a sushi place nearby? Maybe we can eat there after a bit more looking around." He said following me and I nodded in response.
In the end I got a box of pocky and somehow Karma found some strawberry milk. We met back up with Nagisa and bought our items before heading to a few more stores. Soon enough we made it to our last destination of the day, the sushi restaurant.
We sat down in a booth with Nagisa on one side and Karma and I on the other. We ordered whatever we desired and whilst waiting Karma spoke up. "Hey Nagisa, Kai, wanna play a game?" He said with a seemingly evil glint in his eyes.
"What kind of game?" I asked innocently.
"You had gotten pocky at that candy shop right?" He asked and I looked at Nagisa as he realized what he was talking about.
"No way!" Nagisa exclaimed with a blush.
"Aw why not?~" He said and the blue haired male only responded in a 'No' until he finally dropped the subject with a sigh. I just smiled as our food arrived, not bothering to ask what Karma was referring to, because Nagisa's expression said it all, I don't want to know.
~Time Skip Brought To You By Karma's Strawberry Milk~
After we stepped out of the sushi place we got ready to part ways and head home. "I'll see you guys in school tomorrow okay? I'm so not prepared for that upcoming assembly though..." I said.
"Why don't you just skip it with me?" Karma suggested.
"I'll consider it." I replied before turning to Nagisa and hugging him.
"Bye Nagi~" I said after he hugged back and replied with a 'Bye'. I then let go of him and turned to Karma before giving him a hug.
"You too Karma, bye~"
"Goodbye, Kai." He said and pet my head before I let him go.
"Well I'll get going. Cya~" I said before running off back towards my house.
~Karma's POV~
I watched Kai as she ran off. 'She is something else.' I thought as I turned away and walked off with Nagisa.
Yo! Hope you enjoyed this extra chapter and yes it is canon to the storyline. All other extra chapters will be the same. It's just me adding to the story to show what happens in between some of the main chapters. I tried my best to add in a semi-romantic moment or two for the two K's of the story.
