Aaliyah had a brilliant idea. She told her daughter what to do.
"Daddy, I want a hot chocolate, before we go."
Jameel stood in line to get it. Nows my chance thought Aaliyah. Aaliyah ran into Jameel as he turned around with the drink. The drink went flying over Jameel. "I'm so sorry sir. It was an accident." Jameel looked at Aaliyah. Why was he feeling a sense of deja vu? Why is this so familiar he thought? He was getting flashbacks, but he couldn't see the people in them. Aaliyah was so disappointed. It had no effect on Jameel.
Aaliyah put the children to bed. Jameel watched them go. Aaliyah was so good with them he thought, my wife made a good decision hiring her. He still didn't know where she was, or what happened fully. Every time he tried to remember, it put pressure on the brain, and his head hurt.
Jameel went upstairs to bed. As he passed Aaliyah's room, he saw the Jessie doll in her bed. He went up and picked it up. For some reason, it felt really familiar. He turned around and met Aaliyah. The clothes she was wearing for bed, sparked something in him. He was getting all these flashes and memories, but nothing was clear.
"Are you alright sir?"
"This doll. Where'd you get it from? Who gave it to you?"
"My husband, who loves me very much and who I can't live without."
"Your lucky to have that Aaliyah. I'd give anything to remember my wife and where she is."
Aaliyah looked on with tears in her eyes, as Jameel left the room. "I'm right here Jameel. Waiting for you to remember" she whispered. Aaliyah lay on her bed and wept. This was so hard. She needed her husband again. She hugged her Jessie doll tightly, as every time she hugged it, it reminded her of Jameel, and when he'd given it to her. Jameel lay on his bed, trying to sleep but nothing. He kept thinking about these flashes. How he would only have them when Aaliyah was around. Is Aaliyah something to me he thought? Why do I only have the flashes, when I'm near her?
