(Pitch's POV)
I hadn't been here for a good twenty years, but it was still as I remembered: Nightmare Castle. A dark fortress of black onyx stone, nestled within a thick forboding woods.
My Fearling servants welcomed me, having been dormant for so long. Ah....it's good to be home!
My other Night-Mares stare at Jack in my arms, sniffing curiously. Onyx snorted a warning to them. Onyx was my only horse with me when me and Seraphina were banished. The others didn't know Jack exsisted.
"Good evening, all. In case you're wondering, this is my son Jackson Overland Pitchiner Frost, my heir. He's to be treated as royalty. Take him to the bedchamber next to mine. And tuck him in. And under no circustances will you give him nightmares!"
My servants and horses all bowed in obedience.
"Oh, and if Hades should happen to call, send him in."
The mares took Jack gently, and brought him upstairs. I'm exhausted but before I can rest, I must repair Jack's staff. I hope that pathetic prince of Charming is still cowering in his bed!
I head to my study: a large area, with hanging cages and my magical golden globe. I grin. Jack's staff would be right as rain very soon.
Now that I had my magic at full, unhindered power healing this enchanted staff would be simple. And, of course, I will upgrade this staff. If Auradon thought Jack was dangerous, well...they haven't seen anything yet.
I can't help but laugh long and loud. Jack would be a force to be reckoned with. They would regret the day they wronged him! And me.
The staff was ready and good as new within the hour. Yes, this would bring Auradon to its knees! And my son would never return to a life of misery. I've made sure of that!
This staff would give Jack more access to his ice magic. Now he could alter his clothing, control his flight and arial agility more, transform his ice to more dangerous forms, and his staff could become a lethal weapon itself: A scythe, a sword, a crossbow, etc....Auradon won't see it coming!
