If it wasn't Thomas you wouldn't do it.

But it is Thomas so you are.

And that sort of sucks.

Five o'clock.

On a Saturday morning.

But all the same you were ready to go.

At least you still had the pleasure of scowling at him when you opened your front door.

"This had better be the best date ever." You mutter.

"Morning sunshine." Thomas grins.

"I'm no sunshine until the sun is ACTUALLY UP." You say.

"But you're always MY sunshine." Thomas says stepping in and wrapping his arms around you.

You click your tounge, "I'd planned on being mad at you today, but you're not making that very easy."

He chuckles and plants a kiss on the top of your head, "Terribly sorry, flower."

"Like heck, you're sorry."

He looks down at you and smiles, "You ready to go?"

You sigh, "Yeah."

"Good. I have a feeling you'll like this date." He grins.

Oh, look at that gleam in his eye.

- - - -

"We've been driving for two hours." You tell him.

"I know. But don't worry I know where we're going." Thomas smiles.

"Don't you have to be at the studio this afternoon?"

"I do."

"Then where are we going!?"

"A magical place, where we will spend our time in the great outdoors." He says enthusiasticly.

"These had better be REALLY great outdoors."

"We're almost there. Get down off your high horse." Thomas says with a fatherly tone.

"But-" You start.

"QUESSSSTIONS!" Thomas blurts loudly, "We're going to ditch the whole 'lady's first' thing for now because the lady present will ask about where we're going and what we're doing and I refuse to answer that question so here we go!" He glances at you, "What kind of parent do you want to be?"

You burst into a coughing fit.

Did he really just ask you about parenting?

Like for children?

In a family?

Holy cow!

"What!?" You choke out.

He clears his throat, "What kind of parent do you want to be?"

"An older one." You say with wide eyes.

Thomas laughs, "Well, duh. I wouldn't expect you to want kids NOW."

Crap.

You're having THIS conversation.

"A married one." You say.

He looks at you with furrowed eyebrows, "How do you mean?"

"I'm not having kids, or sex for that matter, before I get married. "

"Oh." Thomas says with a thoughtful nod.

"Yeah. And um, a good one obviously. I mean, I dunno. It's not like I want to be a terrible, mean parent." You say with a shrug.

"Well, good that." Thomas grins.

"My turn?" You ask.

"Mm-hmmmm." Thomas grunts.

Great.

Now you can get him back for the parenting question.

"What are some memories you want to make with your future family. Like what do you want to do a lot of?" You ask.

He barely has to think about it, "Road trips."

"Road trips?" You ask.

"Yeah." He nods glancing over at you, "When I was growing up we did a lot of traveling and we would take this big travel van and play car games and read and....it was just really relaxing. Being in a family full of bloody celebrities isn't always easy. It's just nice to spend time with your family sometimes and chill."

"Makes sense." You nod.

Then something clicks in your mind, "Thomas....are we on a road trip right now?"

He grins and looks over at you, "Yep."

Looks like you're both planning futures with each other.

- - - -

He pulls off onto a shoulder of the road, gravel crunches under the cars tires. Trees hang over the road.

You furrow your eyebrows, "What are we doing here?"

"You'll see in a minute. Patience grasshopper." He reaches for the his cars door handle and grins back at you.

"I knew you stole my The Fault in our Stars book!" You laugh.

He walks around to your side of the car, wiggling his eyebrows at you. He stops at your car door and bends over, peering in your window and waves at you. You laugh. He grabs the handle and opens yor door, "My lady." He bows.

"You're in too much of a good mood." You smirk as he helps you out of the car.

"Hang on." Thomas say popping the trunk of his mustang. He walks back and grabs a wicker picnic baskest out of the trunk and holds it up for you to see.

"You really do like picnics don't you?" You grin as he walks over and takes your hand.

"Well, certainly. Three of my favorite things are involved. Nature, food and pretty girls." He says bumping into your shoulder playfully, "Although, pretty girls are the best part."

You grin, "I dunno. Food Is pretty good."

He leads you off to a path you hadn't seen before. You silently wonder where it leads.

He looks down at the basket, "Maybe not though. I made this stuff."

You look up at him with wide eyes, full of surprise, "You MADE this? Like when your own hands?"

"I did. I know how to make a few bloody chicken sandwiches. Jeez, you make it sound like someone does everything for me."

You laugh a bit, "I just can't picture you making anything I'm the kitchen. I can't picture you cooking at all!"

"I'll have you know I've made food in the kitchen before. Actually cooking. With a stove and everything." He says nodding proudly.

You raise your eyebrows, "Really? What'd you make?"

"I can make Kraft Mac-n-Cheese, Raman noodles, and bacon with pancakes." He sounds like a four year old saying, "I can tie my shoes all by myself!"

He pauses and adds, "Sometimes I even add chocolate chips to the pancakes."

You laugh, "You live a wholesome life style."

He looks down at you, eyebrows furrowed, mouth twitching upwards a bit, "What do you mean?"

You laugh as you kick a rock in the path, "I mean I'm surprised you're not fat!" You poke him in the stomache, "Do you know how unheathly all those things are?"

"If what you mean by unhealthy is delishious and easy to make then yes, I do know." He nods, embracing his dignity.

You laugh, "You're crazy."

"I'm crazy awesome! Crazy good-looking! Crazy talented! Crazy good at playing the guitar!" He lists off.

"At least I know you have confidence." You mutter.

"Here." Thomas says, slipping his hand into yours and pulling you off to the side. You step in between a few feet of thick forest and find yourself completely and utterly astonished. In a middle of a forest is a simple field. Hilly and whimsical looking. Trees surround it and on one of the nearby trees hangs a simple rope swing.

"I dunno." Thomas mumbles. "Are these the really great outdoors?"

"How'd you find this place?" You ask in awe, "I mean really? I perfect little area out in the middle of a forest? How does that happen?"

"I hear things." Thomas shrugs, "Great how that works out. Famous people find a lot of things out."

You raise your eyebrows at him in response.

He clears his throat, "Now, how would you like some of the best bloody chicken sandwiches you've ever tasted?"
