(26th June)
"I can't believe we're out," you sighed breathing in the fresh air.
You, Namjoon, Jin, Tae, Hobi and Jimin had finally made it to the other end of the tunnel. It was still dark outside and you guess it was very early morning, maybe about 3 am. Everyone was tired with sore feet and worried about the two missing members.
"I'm so tired," Taehyung complained collapsing to the floor and lying on his front.
"Let's make camp here, we know this end of the tunnel is empty so we're safe for now," Namjoon told everyone.
The entire group collapsed onto the floor at the same time, you were one of them and found yourself curled up using your bag as a pillow and shirt as a blanket you didn't even care that the ground was hard you were so tired you could feel yourself falling asleep instantly.

You regained consciousness in the morning as the suns warm light stained your eyes. Feeling someone's arm wrapped around your waist, their chest pressed against your back. Feeling confused and worried you turned over and saw the handsome face of Jeon Jungkook.
You sighed in relief at the sight of him and smiled brushing some dark hair out of his eyes. One of his eyes flitted open at your touch and he smiled closing the eye again. "I'm so happy to see you," he whispered his voice husky from sleep.
"Me too, you have no idea how worried I was." You hugged him tightly allowing all of your worry to flow out of your body and out into the air.
"Trust me. I do because I was worried about you in the same way." He pulled your closer to his chest and you nuzzled into his neck feeling safe again. You trusted the other guys with your life but you never truly felt safe until he was by your side.
"How did you and Yoongi escape? Namjoon oppa said you were stuck on the other side of the pipe." You asked curiously your eyes wide and worried.
"After we lost sight of you, Hobi hyung and Taehyung Namjoon told us to go back and try to find another way around. He told us not to get in the water as it was fast and the current was too strong. I was worried you guys wouldn't make it if I'm honest, anyway." He yawned and opened both his eyes to meet yours.
"We went back down into the room we found the vent in and walked down the tunnel until we found another door, we broke into it, narrowly avoiding some Biters and a Raiser. There was another vent inside that took us onto the pipe on the other side of the tunnel, we went along that until we found a huge hole in the ceiling, we climbed up there and walked along the road above until we found the entrance. We climbed back down the outside and found you guys all asleep here."
"Sounds like you had the easiest journey," you replied feeling slightly jealous of their easy escape compared to what everyone else had gone through.
"What happened to you guys?" He sounded worried so you told him before he started worrying too much.
"After me, Hobi and Jimin fell into the water we were carried most of the way by the current, we slammed into a bus and had to swim under it. We gave each other some motivation and swam for a while until we were under the hole in the tunnel you escaped from, we all fell asleep on the tarmac and rubble there. I'm surprised you didn't see us because we were there for a while."
"We looked everywhere we went for you guys. I was terrified we'd see your bodies floating in the water," he admitted. "We kept seeing floating Biters and other people. It was horrible."
"We were very lucky. After that, we found Namjoon, Jin and Tae."
"What happened to them?" He asked lowering his voice as you heard someone groan over your shoulder.
"Namjoon told me the rough story. Apparently, they kept going until they ended up in a room they led them onto the road of the tunnel, the water was about knee height."
You paused to yawn and continued, "Anyway, we found them while they were mid-fight with a group of Biters, we arrived in time and helped them. Then Jin almost died-"
"What?" Jungkook asked surprised looking past your head to the place where Jin was sound asleep by Namjoon. "What happened?"
"He's alright, don't wake him up. A Biter held him under the water and he lost consciousness before anyone noticed. Jimin found him and we had to do CPR and mouth to mouth to save him, we so nearly lost him." You shivered at the unpleasant memory and Jungkook kissed your forehead to relax you.
"He came back and he's alright, just got a big scratch on his chest."
"He's joining you and Yoongi hyung then?" He chuckled a smile appearing on his face.
"I suppose so yeah," you agreed.
"Will you two shut up," you recognised Yoongi's voice from close to you and guess he and Jungkook had snuck back into the group while everyone was asleep.
"Sorry oppa," you chuckled, "Do the others know your back yet?"
"No, we didn't want to wake anyone up and panic them."
"Fair enough, we basically collapsed out of exhaustion when Namjoon told us we were making camp here."
"I bet," Jungkook whispered, "I'm so relieved you're alright."
He leant down and kissed you gently, you kissed him back immediately warmth spreading across your entire body at his touch. The kiss deepened when he pulled you even closer if that was possible, and you rested your left hand on his jaw.
He chuckled quietly as he glided his tongue across your bottom lip gently, you knew better than to refuse him so you let him in. He would always be the dominant kisser and you never tried to fight him for it, there was no point, when he made you so weak he would always win. One day you'd stand up and not let him in just to see what happened.
"Would you guys stooooop," Yoongi complained again drawing out the o and sitting up with a grumpy look on his pale and scarred face.
"Sorry hyung," Jungkook chuckled sitting up himself and stretching, "You sleep alright?"
"Good as it's gonna get," Yoongi replied taking a sip of his water, "Should we wake them?" He pointed to the others, who were all sound asleep with peaceful expressions on their faces.
"Let's give them a little longer," Jungkook suggested, "Y/N can fill you in on the rough stories of what happened."
You glared at Jungkook not wanting to tell the stories again but Yoongi had already made his way over to you.
After explaining everything to him the sunlight had started to wake up Hobi and Jin who were thrilled to see Yoongi and Jungkook back alive. The noise woke everyone else up and there was at least another hour of detailed storytelling and discussions. Everyone was in much better spirits after reuniting and hugging. You felt like the family was complete again. Home was with the guys and it wasn't right unless everyone was together.
"We should get going now," Namjoon stopped Yoongi, Jimin and Hobi talking about how they had almost drowned with you.
"What's the plan?" Jin asked, you had noticed his voice was slightly hoarse from almost drowning but you weren't surprised. He'd get his strength back, probably never go in water again either.
"We try and sneak into the city without being spotted by gangs, Baehyun or Biters but we look harmless so people should leave us alone." You tried not to roll your eyes, it was a slim chance you'd be left alone, enemy gangs kill anyone they think might have decent supplies. "Let's stay hidden, we take back routes and go through buildings, stay off main roads."
The group nodded understanding, "Y/N, Jimin-ah and Hobi hyung lost their radios, they broke because of water so you guys stay with someone who has one but let's hope we won't need them."
The group nodded again, "Off we go then."
The group started walking up the road towards the city and, hopefully, safety. You honestly felt surprised that you'd all managed to make it this far. Yeah, you'd been stabbed, split up, almost drowned and nearly died but at least everyone was together. You wanted to believe that the worst of it was behind you but you just didn't know.
Above everything else you'd learnt that teamwork was the most important thing to make sure everyone stayed alive. You'd fight to the end with these guys if you had to and they'd do the same for you. That's how you managed to survive through the worst scenarios because of your determination to reach your goal. Together.
